[Q] Increase the speaker volume topic

Hi
Is there any way to actually increase the volume of the speaker on the original rom without root?
The speaker volume is very low. I think this is a limitation of the software.
My S4 has with the original Samsung's rom and I don't intend to change to a custom rom soon.
Can anyone help me?

System Volume topic

Is there anyway to turn up the system volume that doesn't turn up the ringtone volume too? I like the sound of the hardware keys to be turned the whole way up but that turns the ringtone all the way too. I don't have the volumes linked so my notification is low like I like it. I've been trying to find anything about editing the build.prop but can't find anything.

I also tried using a ringtone editor and making my tone lower but they really don't work that well

[Q] Low in call volume topic

I've looked around, and while I've found similar threads in MotoX, I havent found anything similar for the Samsung S3. Ever since I upgraded to android 4.4.2, my in-call volume has been very low. Unless I'm in a quiet room, I am unable to hear a thing. My speaker is fine, as is the volume on a head set, but the volume from the ear phone is very low. Has anyone encountered this recently, and if so, what was the fix? I've tried changing ROMs, going back to 4.3, etc, but nothing seems to reverse the problem.

Volume Up Button not working anymore topic

So I've had the phone 6 months without any issues. Today I notice the volume up button is not working anymore. Nothing has happened to the phone that I'm aware of since it was working yesterday. I do use the volume up a lot as I long press to skip music tracks frequently. Maybe this is what caused it? Anyone have this issue happen to them? Anyone know of a possible fix?

How to increase touch sounds volume? topic

Is it just me or is the touch sounds when making screen selections really really low when using HTC Sense 4.4.2 base roms. I can hardly hear it, I've got it checked under settings/sound and all volumes maxed. I was wondering if there was a mod to increase the sound. The touch sounds work fine if I'm running a GE rom. Not a big deal but would be nice if it was louder.

All my recipients claim that they can't hear me and i can't hear them clearly.. my in-call volume is already at its max.

I've been running OmniRom with PA full modular gapps for a while. Currently on 03/05 nightly w/Franco 203.
I use Viper4Android to adjust my headphones and speaker levels.

I have been having extremely low in call volume since 4.4 and I can't figure out why. No one seems to have an issue. I've played with adjustments in Franco's app as well as settings in Viper but it doesn't help. My music sounds great though and voice calls put on speaker are very loud and clear. It's just the handset speaker that's really low.

Previously on my Sensation, I could make edits TPA2051_CFG_XC.csv that would help. And in the Nexus 5 forums I see you can edit mixer_paths.xml to help as well but when I look at the Nexus 4's mixer_path, there isn't a line to adjust handset volume.

Is there a file I could edit to adjust my in call volume? Or any other way to fix this?

I am starting working on my rom. I would add the features Volume to wake up no my Nexus4.
My idea is to make this permanent whitout the setting option because is a Rom ONLY for my use.

-Increase headphone (only) max volume from 85 to 127 !!!
-Needs a rooted device
-Based on work from this forum and my personal experimentation with Alsamixer app and Es File Explorer
-Steps:
1-enable root access by Es File Explorer app
2-mount system as read write by Es File Explorer App
3-go to path system/etc and backup file ysound.xml (copy to other location) or rename it
4-past the included file in the same previous path
5-long press on the file then properties and change permissions to root root rw-r-r
6-restart phone
7-done !!!
-In case of any problems or if you want to return to previous setting simply restore your backup file and restart
-you could notice the increase in volume by Alsamixer app (headphone volume) before 85 after 127, not only by hearing

Volume Panel Icon? topic

After using Bluetooth to listen to music, when I press the volume rocker it shows a different icon (it shows a phone icon, and its not the one with the sound wave things next to it.) When I press the volume rocker with the new icon, there is no indication of the volume changing. I have tried rebooting.

[Q] Kitkat AOSB -> No volume buttons not working while in Next Launcher topic

Hello, my Note 2 was updated to AOSB, latest version with KitKat.
From the update the volume buttons only work when in an app - doesn't matter which one, as long as it's not the Next Launcher.

I use this launcher for quite some time without any problems, but since KitKat these buttons stopped working in the launcher.

Can anyone help me how to enable them again?

[Q] Z1s Low Headphone Volume topic

My Z1s has really low output volume when I plug in my headphones. On max volume it seems like it should be at half volume it is way to low on any other devices I am usually going deaf when I am on max volume. I've seen some flashable files for rooted Z1 that it is supposed to boost up the volume on internal/external settings but unfortunately Z1s has not been rooted yet or if it can be. Anyone know how I can fix this??? its driving me cray cray :mad:

[Q] Speaker volume problem after Kitkat update, any fix? topic

The speaker was really working really well before the Kitkat update. I am not 100% sure if that was the cause since the phone was updated shortly after I got it. After the update, every now and then the speaker will become really low volume. Sometimes it can be fixed by restarting the phone, but the problem has been happening more and more often. I have the phone for about a month now.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any suggestion in fixing it? Thank you.
