Volume Up Button not working anymore topic

So I've had the phone 6 months without any issues. Today I notice the volume up button is not working anymore. Nothing has happened to the phone that I'm aware of since it was working yesterday. I do use the volume up a lot as I long press to skip music tracks frequently. Maybe this is what caused it? Anyone have this issue happen to them? Anyone know of a possible fix?

[Q] Install button doesnt work topic

Ever since I installed Cromi-X 5.3a (I have had it before, it worked properly, something just got messed up or I dont know), whenever I try to install some .apk from local storage, the install button acts like its not even a button. Installing from google play or aptoide works like it should though. Up until now, it hasnt been an issue, I could always find what I want in google play or aptoide, but now I need it and I dont want to reinstall ROM because of it. Is there some other installer? Or another way of installing an .apk?

I read some post about notification bar modification...
At first, I just want to make my notification pull-down background transparent
But after some try with xblast tools.
I found that will never work for my phone.
my phone is HTC desire 200 TW
with stock Rom(Android 4.0.3 with HTC sense 4), rooted and unlocked but with no custom recovery flashed (cuz there's no custom recovery for my phone)
then I discovered that how to mod the notification bg by modding the systemui.apk in /system/app
but now I want the quick settings in the notification pull-down menu too
so I thought that maybe there's somehow can I port or use some "code" to add the quick settings button on my notification menu
(ps. I am using power toggle, but I think that's too slow and use too much memory, as my phone is low-end phone)
that's it, please give me some directions and suggestions, thanks for any help.

hi friends need help .


Last night i rooted my galaxy note with cwm.tar recovery and superuser.
everything was working fine until i downloaded rom manager and did something, i dont remember (perhaps flashed rom ) and my device restarted after that my capacitve back button and menu button stopped working and lights are showing on always even i tried to disable it from setting. I flashed to stock rom ics and jelly bean but still problem not solved please help me friends. i sure its not hardware issue any suggestion ?

Home Button topic

Hey

Normally I use Long HomeButton for App Drawer and double Tab for recent apps.
I can't find a good way to use the double tab on home button to show me recent appsmenu.
On dandvs Rom i could use GravityBox + Apex Launcher to manage this but here nothing works.

If I want to use Gravity Box the damn Navigationbar appears although I disable them in GB and PACRom.
The button section in the preferences has no options that are interesting for me

So anyone have an idea or a way to solve this ?
I really like the Rom with so many feature. But I dont want do go back to Dandvs GE Rom because these button thing

Power Button topic

I'm on AryaMod 5, my power button went out. I even took the phone apart and I push the button and it still work. But when I put it back together, the power button doesn't work. Is there any solution? Thanks for any suggestions or help.

- Can I activate the button behind the logo and set it as a HOME button?
- Can I set the original Home button to work as a MENU button?

And one more:
- Is the notification light capable of other colours aside orange and green?

Power button issue topic

I just discovered yesterday that my power button seem to be not working. Pressing it doesnt lock the screen and long pressing it doesnt bring up the power options. Tried wiping everything and still the issue remains. When I pull my battery and then insert it back the phone boots itself, as if the power button is pressed all the time (even though i can still click it and its not stuck). Ive been using rom toolbox for the power menu but choosing to turn off the phone makes my phone have a screen freeze, all other options work like reboot, fast reboot, reboot recovery etc. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello my phone's power button just died and my phone wont turn on. Its being replaced by verizon for free. Is there any way I can reformat it so I dont get in trouble for an open boot loader and a rooted rom? My phone wont turn on at all because the power button is not connected. So I need to do something when its powered off to reset it. Thank you

I already started to solve my problem in the SView-Mod-Thread, but before I spam it with too much off-topic, I created a thread in the right place.

The problem ist self-explaining, since the update to KitKat and UENB ROM, SView is working properly for the genuine SView-Cover. I am using the Spigen S View Cover and this cover has a home button, in detail it has a lay-in in the front cover to push the home button of the phone. On 4.3 it was possible to wake up the device with the home button, also it was possible to activate the torch by pushing the VolUp button. On 4.4 it is neither possible to wake up the device with the homebutton nor activate the torch.

It seems that some users have the possibility to use the buttons, but no one can explain what they did or what the reason is. So anyone, who could give some advice, how it is possible to reactivate the buttons in closed mode?

nexus 4 doesn't wake up from the power button topic

I have a problem with my nexus 4
I am using stock 4.4 latest one and I am rooted and using closed fw
The problem is when I wake up I found that the alarm doesn't wake me up and th e phone is like shutting down I think it's freezing on the black screen and I cannot open it from the power button and I have to long press the power button to shutdown it and press it again to power it on and I found a missed alarm I don't know if that from the KitKat or from the root or what actually I didn't had this experience on JB
So if I can solve this just let me know Guy's

Tab 3 7 inch. Home button. not working unrooted. Download mode? topic

How can I put a Tab 3, 7 inch into download mode if the home button isnt working? All other buttins work as normal. I believe it may have something to do with the wrong firmware version.

Cant reset using adb as it isnt rooted.

Tried all manner of button combinations?

Any idea, or is it goosed?
