S-View help topic

I recived my Spiegen Slim Armor View today, is it possible to get Whatsapp, Facebook, Gmail working in the S-View window?

i have S-View Mods for Note 3 (Xposed) installed but it gives only the possibility to add Contacts to S-View.

Since I dont have that much money to buy overpriced S-View cover (), I decided to make it myself.
Thanks to Rovo89 and MohammadAG for the xposed module so I can make use the cover with only magnet and no ID chip.
This will need ROOT for the Xposed.

Note the silver part inside the white small square stuff in the right lower part is magnet.
And make sure its shielded by metal sheet outside so it wont activate the SView when you flip it under the back of the phone.

You only need small weak magnet to activate the SView (2mm x 2mm).
Dont use strong magnet as it will damage the screen.
The magnet will rest over the lower left of the screen when the cover is closed.

The rest is mica, glue, and cheap flip cover.

S-view cover working with Google play music? topic

Hey guys, just purchased my note 3, and I'm coming from the GNex. I picked up the S-view cover with it and I'm just wondering if you can have Google play music work with the cover without being rooted? All I get is Samsung music. Also, does anyone else have a recommendation for a better keyboard? I don't necessarily like the Samsung one.

[Q] Home button in SView on 4.4.2 topic

Hello,
I already started to solve my problem in the SView-Mod-Thread, but before I spam it with too much off-topic, I created a thread in the right place.

The problem ist self-explaining, since the update to KitKat and UENB ROM, SView is working properly for the genuine SView-Cover. I am using the Spigen S View Cover and this cover has a home button, in detail it has a lay-in in the front cover to push the home button of the phone. On 4.3 it was possible to wake up the device with the home button, also it was possible to activate the torch by pushing the VolUp button. On 4.4 it is neither possible to wake up the device with the homebutton nor activate the torch.

It seems that some users have the possibility to use the buttons, but no one can explain what they did or what the reason is. So anyone, who could give some advice, how it is possible to reactivate the buttons in closed mode?

[Q] How to make screenshot of the s-view window? topic

Hey I am sorry if this has been answered before but I can't seem to find an answer about it. I am trying to take a screenshot of the s-view window. Specifically of the s-view screen when I have an incoming call but I can't seem to manage it. To see the s-view window I have to have my s-cover closed so I cannot use either the home+power combination, or the s-pen air commands and palm swipe gesture to take the screenshot. Any help would be appreciated.
PS. I tried lifting the s-cover a bit so I can press the home and power buttons but it doesn't seem to work.

S-view problem topic

After update android version 4.4.2 my note 3 not response to s-view function. I already restart/shutdown/on repeatedly still not working. Pls help.

I was just wondering, instead of the Black S-View layout that we have currently.. Is it possible to make changes to the layout of the Screen.

Can we have scrollabe screens (like on the Note 3 S-view)
Can we use wallpaper as a background instead of the black.
Can we change the Size and Color of the time and date and the music title tracks?

It would actually be great if we had an interactive screen like the Note3 sview on our mega 6.3..

What do you guys think about it ?

P.S : (I know thers an S-View App in play store that we could use to change the colour of the clock and date, but it sucks as it uses the proximity sensor instead of the Hall Sensor in our phones)

Does any one know which file in the System ROM takes care of the screen layout of the S-view on the Stock Builds ?
Any ideas or informations would be truly appreciated :good:

S-View Tweaks? (Suggestion) topic

I was just wondering I enjoy the functionality of a third party S-View cover that I purchase and thought if anyone has been able to make some sort of tweaking to the S-View feature. For example, the S-View missed text message notification makes you open the samsung messages app when my default is Chomp Sms. I was thinking maybe there is a way to change the sms app to whichever one a user wants or also change the default phone app for an app such as dial one. I've looked around everywhere and seeing that this is an awesome phone and this forum has awesome developers and people maybe making this suggestion will be helpful for some.

[Q] Need a quick clarification on KNOX, AOSP and S-View topic

Hello all!

I just flashed the SM-N900W8 KitKat update through Odin, and I am still on Knox 0x0. I really want to try out CM11 and see how fast KitKat can fly on the Note 3!

I have gotten confused with the multiple threads for rooting and how to keep Knox 0x0, I'd like a bit of clarification. If I use CF-Root, can I keep 0x0?

Simply put, is it currently possible to flash CM11 on my SM-N900W8 and retain 0x0?

Finally, I have a genuine Samsung S-View cover. Is there some way to emulate the functions of the S-View case on AOSP?
