[Q] How to use sony widgets after freezing stock xperia home? topic

I decided to use another launcher in place of the stock xperia one

so I also froze it with rom toolbox

In this case some of Sony provided widgets e.g. weather, disappear from the widgets menu or list in the app drawer

Is it possible to recover them and make them usable with other launchers somehow?

I have a broken xperia u the Screen and Digitizer are completely broken, the phone has a "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" bootloader it is how ever unlocked for any network, it was thrown at a wall recently after I got frustrated with it.

Does anyone have the same problem where the home screen and the icon dock will be displayed on the upper half of the screen after waking/unlocking the phone?

It is difficult to find the cause because it only happens about 1 in 50 and every time a reboot will solve the issue. I'm also using the xposed framework with Xposed Additions, Sense 5 toolbox and Xposed StatusBar Mods. I'm wondering which xposed module could be causing this... Never had any issues with those before 4.4.2.

Home Button topic

Hey

Normally I use Long HomeButton for App Drawer and double Tab for recent apps.
I can't find a good way to use the double tab on home button to show me recent appsmenu.
On dandvs Rom i could use GravityBox + Apex Launcher to manage this but here nothing works.

If I want to use Gravity Box the damn Navigationbar appears although I disable them in GB and PACRom.
The button section in the preferences has no options that are interesting for me

So anyone have an idea or a way to solve this ?
I really like the Rom with so many feature. But I dont want do go back to Dandvs GE Rom because these button thing

[Q] Long Press Home and Back buttons not working topic

For the past few weeks long pressing my home button no longer brings up recent apps and long pressing my back button no longer exits out of Dolphin Browser (it's all I really used that for). I have Nova launcher on, but going back to stock doesn't help. The buttons have also gone from black outline to white and the display option for changing the amount of buttons doesn't do anything. I have been trying to find a solution for this for a few weeks now with no luck.

Hello,
I already started to solve my problem in the SView-Mod-Thread, but before I spam it with too much off-topic, I created a thread in the right place.

The problem ist self-explaining, since the update to KitKat and UENB ROM, SView is working properly for the genuine SView-Cover. I am using the Spigen S View Cover and this cover has a home button, in detail it has a lay-in in the front cover to push the home button of the phone. On 4.3 it was possible to wake up the device with the home button, also it was possible to activate the torch by pushing the VolUp button. On 4.4 it is neither possible to wake up the device with the homebutton nor activate the torch.

It seems that some users have the possibility to use the buttons, but no one can explain what they did or what the reason is. So anyone, who could give some advice, how it is possible to reactivate the buttons in closed mode?

Cataclysm Rom - Home Button/Toggles not working topic

Hello everyone. So I have now downloaded the cataclysm ROM Latest build for Hammerhead, and I verified the md5 checksum, flashed it in TWRP, it boots up and everything seems to work great besides the home button (makes a click noise and indicates it is indeed accepting the touch, but nothing happens), and the quick toggles. I press the button on the notification bar and nothing happens, I can't even access the screen.

I've seen other people have had this problem but it has gone unanswered, or has been related to a broken download.
But I have downloaded the ROM 5 times from 3 providers, one with multiple mirrors, on different devices too. Checked the md5 of the last 4, they matched exact, but I still experience this issue sadly.

Any thoughts on where I should go from here?

How can I put a Tab 3, 7 inch into download mode if the home button isnt working? All other buttins work as normal. I believe it may have something to do with the wrong firmware version.

Cant reset using adb as it isnt rooted.

[Q] Problems with screen and Back, home, menu and something else!!! topic

Hi guys!
I've just bought a Note3 n9005 in Singapore, starting with ANdroid 4.4.2
At first it worked very well. But after some times I restart, an error appeared immediately after the phone is on "Unfortunately...process phone.android.com has stoppped". I choosed "OK" and it wont come again if I dont restart my phone,
But it's not only all my problems. In fact I had used a fake S-view although it doesnt work with kitkat (It's a gift from Phone store, It was only used to protect the phone like a flip-cover). And a new problem appear: sometimes my phone is in LAG :( Touchscreen does not work, I try to drag the Notification bar down, I can do it, and then the screen displays the "notification infomation", touching is unresponsive. Home button and 2 touch buttons Back+menu does not work too. It is just solved by turn off the screen using Power button, and turn on it again.
Can someone tell me the reason about my problems? And how to fix them?

[Q] Setup issue. Black home screen topic

I've just bought a Chromecast device and I'm trying to
setup it. The problem is that when I plug it to the tv, a message appears
saying "Starting chromecast" and then the Chrome logo. After that, black
screen. Nothing appears. The setup program in my pc can find the device but
I can't see anything on the TV.

My TV model is LG 32LE5500

I tried rebooting the TV by unplugging everything and nothing changed.
Also I tried the Chromecast devide in another TV and it worked there, but it's not my TV and I need it to work in the LG one.

I've tried all hdmi ports and it's the same in all of them. The chrome logo and then black.

The last thing I did is to configure the device from the other TV and then plug it on the TV that doesn't work. I realized that the audio does work, I launched the YouTube app from my cellphone and I could hear the video, but again, black screen.

Could it be that my TV has a resolution of 1900x1080 and not 1920x1080?

Please I will appreaciate any kind of help, I really wanted to use the device and it's useless for me right now
