[Q] Good phone for a music player? topic

I need a phone that is compatible with 64gb SDXCs. I was looking at the Nokia Lumia 520, but I'm not sure how good Windows 8 phones are for that. I would use Android but only newer phones like the SIII and up can use 64gb, while others only do up to 32gb and are hit and miss with 64gb. Then there's iOS, which is nice but way too expensive. So should I settle for the Lumia 520, or should I save up and wait a bit for an Android/iOS device?

[Q] HTC One HDR Video - How good is it? topic

Hi,

I currently have a Galaxy S2 and am looking to upgrade.

The video camera is a prime reason for the upgrade. Ideally I want something that can record HDR video with optical image stabilisation. Lots of my video is taken handheld in low(ish), high contrast light so I figure both of these features are important. I was hoping to see HDR + OIS in the HTC One M8 announcement, but that didn't happen.

I'd be interested to know a couple of things:

1. How good is the HDR video recording feature? I've struggled to see many reviews/opinions.
2. How good is the OIS?
3. If you were about to upgrade now and had video as a priority, would you think about the HTC One?

I don't know of any other phones that have both HDR video and OIS. My alternative would be to get another camera with OIS - I think on balance this is more important than HDR video. I suppose I could also get HDR video and have either in-phone software stabalisation, or use a PC application to give me the stabalisation.

Cost isn't a massive factor, but I don't see a real "value proposition" I'm thinking of going for a Nexus 5 or LG G2. Although video is important, obviously having a nice fast phone that will last is also appealing, so I've not totally written off the idea a current gen phone I can get in the next month or so.

Any advice on models would be appreciated.

Hey I'm wondering if anyone has a really good equalizer.. I've been using noozoxide for some time I love it but it screws up too much, I started with the flash able version now I'm on the free version from store and I can't stand it, anyone have a good one that better then stock musicFX?

Broken Xperia U [Free to good home UK Only] topic

I have a broken xperia u the Screen and Digitizer are completely broken, the phone has a "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" bootloader it is how ever unlocked for any network, it was thrown at a wall recently after I got frustrated with it.

I will post it within the UK end of the month

So, just like anyone else, I have been having way worse battery life than I have been getting than when I first got the phone. Suspecting a defective battery I got a warranty replacement. Which did not help at all. Then I suspected something at a software level. After trying alot of roms avail. I finally walked up to the solution. It was the newest LG G2 OTA updates that were the culprit. I flashed the VS98010B_13 on my phone reset everything and booted and tried to run it for a day. It worked. I mean the fix, now as it used to it stays on 100% for about 2~4 hours and slowly dips down giving me about twice more battery life than I've been getting. I'm very proud of finding this fix and I decided to share it with everyone else. Tell me if it works for you guys or not. (I think downgrading really doesn't do anything LG never added any significant improvements.

Hello, I'm new to this form. Okay so today I traded my galaxy note 1. For a nexus 4 and an HTC one x. I was really excited to see the one x for the first time. The one x is with AT&T. When I took it home and plugged it in the charger the red light on started to flash which I think means the battery doesn't have enough power yet, so I waited until it would be steady. But when I looked at it after about 10mins or so, there was no light at all. Unplugging and plugging back in didn't work. When plugged in for along time it just keeps flashing red for abit then stops (repeatedly). I can't power it on at all or go into bootloader.. Etc.. I've even tried doing the hold volume up and down with power button for 2 minutes, nothing.. So now I'm just thinking it's defective. But before I sent it to HTC to diagnose it, I wanted to see what you guys think it is and how I can possibly fix it. Now the person I got it from said it needed some kind of jtag fix for but idk what this is at all. I'm just hoping to god it isn't the main board that is damaged. The bottom area where the soft buttons are is cracked but it's not serious. Another thing that I'm not sure is normal, is the power button, it feels very soft when I press on it and I can't feel it click at all htc told me this could be normal cause the newer one series phones had soft power buttons. I thought the power button was the issue, but the phone won't even charge. The most I've left it plugged it was about less than an hour, I also saw people saying if you plug it in a computer it can fix it, but Idk how that will solve the issue, I will be going to a friends in the morning to try that though. Anyways that's about all.. I hope that someone can help me with this, and If I can fix it I will be sooo happy! Before I go to bed I will leave it plugged in all night to see what happens. Thanks.

well i lost my xperia zl and need a new primary phone quite urgently...cant decide between xperia t and sp (yes in a bit of tight budget)

what am basically after right now is the display and battery life...also how does the xperia t perform as compared to sp ..is it very noticable? (tbh i would prefer a little low graphic detail than overheating and throttling)

Good to be true? About Samsung Service Center. topic

I got bored earlier then im thinking to talk or actually go in samsung service center here in the Philippines. The reason is simple. I want to return to 4.3 Jellybean.

Looking for a good screen protector for my galaxy note 3 topic

I bought a screen protector straight out from the t-mobile store, it cost around + I believe, I bought the most expensive one at the store, knowing that it mightve been a good quality screen protector.. but unfortunately, I dont really like it, I hate how I could see my finger prints clearly, after using it for a while, especially when I wrote something down using the s pen. Its the worst.

Im planning on buying iloome screenmate tempered glass, or the flex flexible one. Which one should I get? Should I get one of those, or are there a better one out there? Please let me know ^^

Today i saw an article on Android Police http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/02...ia-u-and-more/, that says that a lot of Xperia phones will not be updated. So, there are bad news and good news.
The Xperia Tipo and Miro will NOT be updated to Android 4.1/4.2/4.3/4.4, but the Xperia E and the Xperia J will be updated. This means that the Xperia E and J will be updated to Android 4.2.2/4.3/4.4 and we will have probably the new Sony 4.2.2/4.3 UI. Are you happy now?:D

[Q] Would the Go make a good backup phone? topic

I'm currently an Xperia Z1 owner and have been thinking about getting a decent backup phone in the case I lose or break (or brick) or lose my phone. I'm notorious for breaking and physically wearing things out (I call it a gift) and think its important to invest in a decent backup/active phone (something I can take hiking or long bike rides). Seems like the Xperia Go (about 0 on ebay) would serve this function perfectly.
Main question: is this device as durable as advertised? Are there any significant issues I should be aware of that may sway my opinion?

In terms of what's important to me:
Durability (Brick like durability) and Reliability (just needs to work well as a phone) are the most important. It will likely have a few hours of use a year unless I break or lose something. Thanks for any input I receive.

I have the tmobile g2. I'm rooted and all I'm looking for is a stock rom with a few modifications that is fast and stable. I want to be able to tether without tmobile knowing it.

I picked up a one X today for a really good deal, even though I didn't really need a new phone. I currently have a tmobile Samsung galaxy s2 that I like but I like changing phones once and a while. So is the One X a good phone for normal use? I've heard the battery doesn't last long, is this true?

[Q] Alcatel Touch Idol X+ good buy? topic

I know that is hasn't be released yet, but I'm wondering if this is worth getting. I'm guessing it should be about 0+tax (canada), the specs seem decent enough (a little dated, but compared to the nexus 5 good). My main worry is if this phone is likely to get support from the rom/modding community. Does it seem like a likely candidate to receive support?

[Q] Tmobile network signal not so good? topic

So i've had the N5 for 4 days now and i just recently switched to Tmobile from Sprint. When im in my house i rarely have more than 1 bar of service and frequently 0 bars. The phone seems to not automatically switch to any other mode (3g/2g). The attached screen shot is only from 4 hours of use, being outside more than inside and still only little blips of green on the mobile network connection log. I work outside and still being outside 8 hours a day still wont have much green on that log.

I dont have another phone from t-mobile to try out but it seems a few people have said that the N5 has radio issues. Not sure if this problem is phone/hardware related?

My data speeds are not the issue here, its more the cell connection for phone calls. My girlfriend has called me many times with my phone laying on the counter when the phone had 1 or 0 bars and it would never ring or show a missed call.

Ive called tmo and they said the towers are good and i that i dont have a "stong" LTE signal but it is "good". I have also went to tmo store and they swapped out the sim card for me, same issue.

The phone i have seems to be the newest batch of N5's with a 401KP serial number and a 01/13/14 manufacture date.

Im super happy with the phone overall but if not being able to receive calls from people is very frustrating and nullifies all the good that this phone has going for it.

Im in the chicago area. Anyone else having this issue?

Any advice/help is appreciated.
