[GUIDE] Motorola Service Menu topic

This is a short guide how to access the Motorola's service menu (Custom Quality Assurance).
I've checked around and it seems no one have had shared this.

1.Open your dialer
2.Enter *#*#2486#*#*
3.There are 2 options
-> Start CQA on menu mode
-> Start CQA in sequence mode
Menu mode is just a manual selection of given test
Sequence mode just runs all tests in a row.

## Note 1 ##
Entering into the service menu will disable automatic display brightness, just enable it back in Settings/Display if you are using it.

## Note 2 ##
In Sequence mode, the back key won't work, use Vol up/down to skip to the next test.

No cell service with any ROM after unlocking topic

Unlocked and S-OFF Verizon Incredible 4G LTE. I unlocked it with Rumrunner's tool, flashed TWRP (from their page), and flash CM10.2. No cell service. I tried a few things like reflashing/updating radios, etc no change. I tried a PacMan ROM. Same result. Tried a Viper ROM. Same result. Then I flash the stock rooted and deodexed ROM and I still have no service. Just sits in roaming.

Got unlock and S-OFF, but cannot get any cell service with any ROM topic

Used this thread to help me unlock my bootloader last night. Temprooted (just shows wallpaper and status bar, no unlock circle), then I ran rumrunner and it worked perfectly. Bootloader shows "Tampered Unlocked S-OFF". But trying to reboot into the stock ROM didn't work anymore. Just got to the same temproot screen (locked wallpaper basically). So I was forced to go forward and flash aftermarket ROMs (which I planned on doing later anyway). I flashed TWRP and then installed various ROMs. Had nothing but problems. Some woudln't pass the splash screen and others would load up, but never give me any cell service. So now I'm on the stock rooted deodexed ROM and I still have no service. Other than that, everything works fine. Phone boots up rather quickly and connects to WiFi fine. But no service! I tried loading the radios in the second post here. They installed fine, but no change.

service process gapps problem topic

Last friday i open youtube and a diologue box pops out that i have to update the services process gapps ( com.google.process.gapps ) to use youtube. It automatically redirect me to the store... it seems legit so i update.

Last time when i download the previous update for the service (like 6 months ago) i did the same thing: used link2sd to integrate the update into system, reset to cwm and wipe dalvik and cache. Then i used a script to odex the system... it worked without problems, but not this time...

It keep crushing a lot. It's making me crazy.

I've tried some solutions that i find in the web, like:

- Rebot and wipe dalvik - not work
- Try to erase the google acount - it cannot be done because "some apps are related to, but you can do a factory reset". Of course i wont, i have much data.

So, do you guys have any other solution?
I was going to make a nandroid backup and then install an old gapp that comes with the ROM i use.

It is safe? Or do you recomend something else.

I have a D-802 and I'm from Brazil, and I'm have problems with the latest LG kit kat based roms. I tried "testD802 80220B EUR Open 16GB.zip" and Pardus HD RoM ProKat, both of them I have no data service, it is like turn it on or off makes no difference. Any ideas why?

PS.: In AOSP 4.4 roms, data service is ok.

[Q] Nfc Service wakelock topic

Whenever I check Wakelock Detector, I see "Nfc Service" on the list (com.android.nfc). It's not major -- phone's been up and running off the charger for a little more than five hours, NfcService:mRoutingWakeLock is showing at 0.4 s/x54.

NFC is unchecked in Settings.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

I have read these threads very thoroughly before posting anything on forum.

Problems: No Sim detected, unknown baseband, imei #, no signal. All else seems to work. Getvar command will show IMEI & baseband.

I purchased from eBay as parts or repair because it was stuck on boot screen. Vendor sell mass phones and did not know the history. Figured it was worth a shot to fix.

Phone was stock AT&T 4.4 with 1.55. No modifications is was just stuck in boot loop. I tried newest version RUU Utility but same results, boot loop. I unlocked bootloader via htcdev and then flashed newest version cynogenmod (even with S-off) and was successful getting it to boot. All seemed great except the was no signal, unknown IMEI (with exception of getvar command), unknown baseband and also cannot save any APN. It won't allow. There are no APN profiles but when I create a new one and click save, it goes back to blank. Sim card is not issue. The problem seems to be with everything concerning network part of the phone. WifI works. I figured since boot issue is resolved I will try RUU utility again but got the same results, back to boot loop.

Next I reverted back to Cyno since it was bootable and I was able to acheive S-Off via firewater and got rooted. I have flashed from cyno 11 down to cyno 10 but same results, no service, imei unkown as well as the other related.

I have ended up with Google play version rom. Also downgraded from 1.55 to 1.54. The last two things a just done was flash darkboot, and reflashed AT&T radio version the showed in getvar and along with trying the newest radio.

Anything I flash goes thru no errors however, this most needed part of the phone won't wake up.

Hi. Please forgive me for posting such nonsense. Last time i saw in a post that they actually bring their note 3 into Samsung Service Center and they did reset the knox counter 0x1 into 0x0. I got bored earlier then im thinking to talk or actually go in samsung service center here in the Philippines. The reason is simple. I want to return to 4.3 Jellybean.

No Service after CM10 (and back to stock) topic

Hi All, Yesterday I was trying to have my old backup Rezound into CM10 to replace a broken S3. I followed the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2113140 to flash my Unlocked and S-On to CM10 but after all the steps (see Q&A How to flash on S-On) everything seemed to be working ok but I have no service at all. Then I decided to move to TACHYON following the details on http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2431552 but again, no service at all. Today I decided to do a downgrade to Stock via RUU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2509770), I even got S-Off to follow step by step of that thread, however after all the efforts, still no service. The first time I botted after all the steps in that thread, I could see 3G for a few seconds but then everything went off and no service (I see 1 bar in my signal from time to time, but can't even make a call).

Any ideas on how to find out what the issue is and how to solve it? Right now I', S-Off, Re-Locked and with the latest RUU

My gs3 is out of service but i can still access wifi. I am wondering why I cant make wifi calling work with my magic jack beta software. I would like to use voip to make calls on wifi networks. Any suggestions... I normally pay 30.00 for t mobile pay as you go with 100 minutes and make free calls with magic jack but at the moment money is tight.

Hi

I was playing around with my phone and tried the old hack through the settings screen, *#*#4636#*#*.
Switched it to LTE and set up a new APN for Rogers LTE.
It Didn't work. After more reading I discovered this wouldn't work for me anyway. I have Android 4.4.2 and I don't thing my SIM is LTE enabled.
I rebooted thinking it would just go back to the original settings.
It seems to have gone back but now I have No signal at all.

I am with Rogers. I tried going back to the original APN settings and selecting Rogers.
The phone is finding the correct networks for my area.
I tried the Reset to default in the APN settings. This sets the APNs to Rogers LTE and chatr, not the original Rogers APN that I started with.

The phone is rooted but running stock Android 4.4.2.
The baseband seems correct.

What have I done and how do I fix it?
Have I done something to the Rogers SIM?

[Q] Moto service software topic

Hey so I started working for a Motorola's subcontractor and i could get my hands on some of the software and since this is a question I can't ask my boss could I get in trouble to share it in here? I mean some of the software cannot be used since it needs a user and password but others don't but anyway I will upload all the new MTK patches for RSDLite that I get so if yes in a couple of days I will upload in the motorola forum.

Samsung Galaxy S4 MT6572 GT-I9500 no service solution !!! topic

hello ! after a week of testing ive finally found a solution for samsung galaxy s4 clone ( mt6572 gt-i9500 ). with no service !

Soo , you have no service and can't make calls ! follow this instructions and you will be talking on your phone in no time ;)

Its very simple : ( i'll add the necessary links / software for this job )

1. you need SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1316.0.150 ( you can easy google this one )

2. you need the WORKING ROM ! http://www.4shared.com/rar/9ClKLRR2c...8012a_fwv.html

3. you need MtkDroidTools http://www.4shared.com/rar/KcOfy4tdb...roidTools.html
( this version is allready modified to work with mt6572 )



The procedure :

we must first format the phone using SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1316.0.150 . soo we open the program and select the scatter file.txt atached in the rom . hit format and then hit OK.
Now remove the battery and connect the usb cable to the phone. it will start formatting the phone. wait till is ready ( you will see a green circle )

At this point , the phone is ready to receive the new ROM

you have allready selected the scatter file early'r .

THIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT !!! uncheck the CACHE and USRDATA at the bottom.

Now hit Download button , you will get a warning message, just press YES
Now put the baterry back into the phone, and connect the usb cable. wait till the process end's and when you see the green circle you can disconect the phone, remove the battery, insert back the battery and power on the phone , and voila !! your phone have working network !!

Next step is to write the IMEI...

Use MtkDroidTools ( you must have debugging mode on in the phone ) connect the phone to the usb cable, wait till MtkDroidTools see your phone , and then hit the big imei button. There you must provide the imei number ( you can find it under the battery ) after that you hit write imei and then reset your phone and you are good to go ;)


I presume that you allready have the usb drivers ( if not, i can also provide them )

So after hours on the phone getting the run around I could not find a rep that had any idea what the LG G2 Quick Window cover was, and then they tried to tell me it was out if warranty even though the device and accessories haven't even been out for six months. Heck one didn't even know what the G2 was! Is there an advanced support number anyone knows of? They literally have the least knowledge techs I've talked to.

Means when a message received in rapidsms (Django-Python) app, i want to call a php application function and store message in php app database. For this which method is best?
