[Q] PLEASE HELP. installing CM10 topic

Ok, so im trying to install Cyanogen Mod 10. I have everything backed up to my SD card, and I have both the ROM and Gapps on my SD card too. when i boot into recovery mode, the follwing screen appears. after a few minutes of doing abdolutely nothing, it will eventually just reboot back into the normal operating system. What am I doing wrong/how can i fix this?

hello there guys
i have nt 16gb
i installed cwm 6.0.2.5 emmc version
and then i installed cm-10.2.1-acclaim.zip
all went well and the device booted fast
but whenever i restart or turn off the device
it wont boot any more
it pass the cyanboot screen to a black screen and stays there
wiping does solve the issue until next reboot
plz help
do i have to change the cm to an earlier version
does the gapps has anything to do with this , i didn't install it

Hi, I rooted my phone and installed CM 10.1.3 (stable) and Werewolf kernel, but I'm still having problems with baseband_xmm_power wakelock. And I noticed that the phone is much warmer than it was before
I attached software information.
Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

No Service after CM10 (and back to stock) topic

Hi All, Yesterday I was trying to have my old backup Rezound into CM10 to replace a broken S3. I followed the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2113140 to flash my Unlocked and S-On to CM10 but after all the steps (see Q&A How to flash on S-On) everything seemed to be working ok but I have no service at all. Then I decided to move to TACHYON following the details on http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2431552 but again, no service at all. Today I decided to do a downgrade to Stock via RUU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2509770), I even got S-Off to follow step by step of that thread, however after all the efforts, still no service. The first time I botted after all the steps in that thread, I could see 3G for a few seconds but then everything went off and no service (I see 1 bar in my signal from time to time, but can't even make a call).

Any ideas on how to find out what the issue is and how to solve it? Right now I', S-Off, Re-Locked and with the latest RUU

I have a XPERIA sola and I'm running it nearly everytime on CM. But which one do you recommend?

Here's my opinion:
- CM9 (good balance between performance and battery, but too old Android)
- CM10 (Newer Android but ****ty battery life)
- CM11 (what about this? I just tried Carbon yet and battery + performance is not that good. UI is smooth but RAM is bad)

So can you share your experince with CM ROM's too?:)

[Q] Help! I can't go use flashtool after using cm10 [tipo] topic

So I use an st21i, and I got curious with cm10 because I didn't like the ics that much. But ever since I used cm10 [it's still what I'm using], I would turn on the debugging so I can use flashtool but it will only recognize it when the phone's turned on. Which means I can't go to flash mode or fastboot mode [though the light indicator says it's on that mode] flashtool itself tells me that I should put it on flash mode/ fastboot mode. And the moment the phone turns off for any of those mods my laptop would say that USB device unrecognized and all that stuff. I want to go back to stock ICS but I can't use flashtool, and I don't know where I can get the stock kernel. Please help me! Thank you!

[Q] Nook Color w/ CM10 every App Crashes topic

Greetings XDA Community,

First I must apologize I am certainly a Noob to anything "Root". I just purchased a Nook Color Used that came with CyanogenMod 10 installed. Tablet was quite laggy at first boot up, but after it installed all my google stuff and I rebooted, it seemed to run pretty well during setup and customization of homescreen and wallpaper stuff. Once I started trying to run apps, any would take FOREVER to even load. Especially Kindle (takes like 5 minutes).

Now the issue is EVERY app eventually freezes and I force close or it automatically closes and returns me to the home screen. Doesn't matter what the APP: google Chrome, Nook, Youtube, Words with friends, games, gmail, etc. Stangely though, the eBay app never crashes and runs really fast.

Can anyone help me figure out why m Nook color doesn't like any apps? Any suggestions? I will gladly share more information about the tablet if someone could tell me how to do it. Did I get a lemon?

BTW, I should note that I really just wanted to use this as a glorified e-Reader, didn't plan on doing tons of browsing, videos, gaming, etc. But, I can't get any of my books or comics to stay open for more than a couple minutes.

[Q] flashing boot.img for cm10 topic

Hey folks, noob question inc,

most of the ROMs in DEV section have the installation instructions 1.) wipe 2.) flash rom 3.) poweroff/on & "fastboot flash boot boot.img".

I dont seem to understand why 3. is neccesarry, can some1 explain it pls :)? Differently put, by accident i forget step 3. and ROM seems to work like charm.
