[Q] WiFi + Google Play Music issues topic

Hi guys,

Got a problem with my mother's Xperia SP. WiFi doesn't seem to stay on when the screen is off, despite the right option being ticked in settings. It doesn't show any sign that it's disconnected, but Google Play Music stops downloading the long queue of music we've selected to be stored on the device if the screen is closed for a little while. This is most frustrating, and I suspect a software bug.

This is an Xperia SP on Orange, build number 12.0.A.2.254 (the latest available, Android 4.1.2) and the bootloader is not unlockable or I would have installed Cyanogenmod already.

Any ideas?

I need a phone that is compatible with 64gb SDXCs. I was looking at the Nokia Lumia 520, but I'm not sure how good Windows 8 phones are for that. I would use Android but only newer phones like the SIII and up can use 64gb, while others only do up to 32gb and are hit and miss with 64gb. Then there's iOS, which is nice but way too expensive. So should I settle for the Lumia 520, or should I save up and wait a bit for an Android/iOS device?

Problem with Google Play Music lockscreen widget topic

Hey all,
Since I got the OTA for KK 4.4.2 on my moto x, my lockscreen music widget is acting a little bit weird. When I'm listening to music with google play music (and even from some other players like poweramp, rocket player, etc) and the screen goes off, if the track ends and another one begins before I wake the phone up, when I do, it shows the current's music art, but the title from the previous track.
With some players I get a bit of variation, some I get the previous album art, some I get both, name and art....
I can only get it working properly when I'm using NexMusic or Shuttle, with both of them, everything works like a charm, but I really wanted to use GPM.
I have recently factory reseted my phone, it didn't work. Tried to clear GPM's cache and data, nothing, tried to uninstall the update and stick to the original one that came with the phone and still nothing... So I was wondering if any of you can help me a little bit here.
I took a screenshot to try to explain it. It started playing Resistance by Muse, the screen went off and then Sunday Morning started playing, the album art is from sunday morning but the track name is still Resistance.

I don't know if this has been brought up already but this is really annoying me, can't seem to find the answer. Does anyone know how to fix the horrible grey background that's appearing in the music app, I've attached a picture to show what I mean, I have the album artwork and I've tried clearing the cache and data, refreshing the app etc but still nothing. I thought it was meant to display artwork but it doesn't do it with any of my albums. HELP!

[Q] No sound while playing Hi Fi music with stock player topic

Hi guys. Recently I revert my firmware to 4.2.2, then I root my phone using ioroot, install CWM, and flash dorimanx kernel 2.9. Now stock music player does not produce any sound while playing Hi Fi sound (the Life is good song) but still performing well on mp3. Anyone have same problem ? One more thing, how to make my new music folder indexed on stock music player ? It can detect my music but not showing my folder on the folder tab. Thank you.

[Q] NeatROM Music Player topic

Hey guys, I've got some problems regarding Blue Theme v5 for NeatROM 5.9, I'm experiencing some bug on MusicPlayer.apk .. I spoke to the one who made that mod (aka MyLifeRocks10) and then to _Sale_, but I couldn't fix this bug..

I can't see the text in the upper bar of the Music player.. I flashed a fix mod for this by MyLifeRocks10 but no fix at all.. So if there's anyone of you who can help me out with this, I'll appreciate it a lot!

just wondering if there was a MOD or a way to keep music playing iny headphones while im at work without pausing the music whenever i use voice to send a text? most of the time i just let google type out what i say whenever im busy typing or habe my hands full but i also hate that it interrups my tunes..

[REQ] Music Player for CM Based ROMs topic

Can anyone suggest a light Music Player for CM based ROMs. Apollo does the job quiet good. But the album art is a bit pixellated or blurred. Tried a couple of players but if anyone knows suggest me. It would be great if you guys can suggest a player with works very well with 180dp ROMs like RR.

Music playback issue topic

Anyone have an issue where songs just randomly jump whilst playing? It doesnt matter which codec or player I use, songs will just jump or skip whilst playing. However playing the same tracks on my iPod Touch 4G results in no problems. Is this just a thing with Android in general and is there something I can do to fix it?

Hello Everyone,

I purchased a 2013 Honda Accord Sport back in Oct 2012. I was told that the Sport model doesn't support the Sirius cover art and music info onto the built-in LCD screen, so I decided to ditch my Sirius receiver from my previous car, but keep my internet subscription. Right now, I listen to Sirius via their app on my phone through my car's bluetooth system, so here's my question.

By default, when my phone connects to my car's bluetooth, it will automatically start my phone's default music player unless I launch the Sirius app first. Is it possible to make the Sirius app the default music player? If yes, would it be possible to display the Sirius music information on the LCD screen like the default music player does regardless if it's the default music player or not?

[Q] Dual Music Player Widgets? topic

Greetings Zooper Deities!

I am still new to andoid in general and Zooper in specific. Widget making is awesome, I am completely in love with the possibilities! I'm just wondering if one of those possibilities is to have dual Zooper music player widgets positioned at the same time. Specifically, I want to make a player for my audible books (sacrificing the 30-second "go back" feature and the sleep timer) and one for my music player (Google PlayMusic for now, until my Rocket Player is supported).

I don't want to go to all the trouble to design a pair of widgets that can't be used together... and I honestly don't even want a homepage for audio playing if it can't control both. The way I have it now is using the proprietary widgets from Rocket Player and Audible, but they are mismatched and ugly and make me sad. :crying:

So, am I still asking too much, or is this a doable goal?

[Q] Installing Stock Samsung Apps (Music Player) topic

Hi Guys -

It looks like the KnoxRaid bloatware link isn't working, so I'm trying to install some stock apps in kitkat. I extracted the system\app folder from the UrDroid kitkat rom, but having trouble installing the Music Player. It will start installing and then say 'Not installed'.

Am I missing something here?

[Q] Can't sync music to android via USB topic

I'm trying to sync about 30 gigs of music to my phone via USB. The phone is a Galaxy s4 (running AOKP, if it matters). What happens is, I connect via USB and start the syncronization process. It works great for a while (files are copied, it's all going swimmingly) and then it just stops. At this point, if I try to navigate to the external SD card via windows explorer, windows explorer freezes. Disconnecting and reconnecting fixes the problem temporarily.

There appears to be no limit to the amount of time I can have the phone connected before it fails. The failure is triggered by transferring the files. I have used mediamonkey and musicbee -- neither works.

What do?
