How to insert a time delay mid script topic

I am loving the assistance of this community. Im a coder of HTML PHP and some other stuff, and am trying to get into this. Thanks for all the help thus far.

Today, I'm trying to learn what I can about timers/clocks.

Is there a way to insert a timed delay mid-script?

[Q] Youtube app force closes on start, every time. topic

As the title would suggest, I've recently noticed an issue with the Youtube app.
If I remove update and use the old version, it loads ok and I can play videos in the app. If I get an external app to launch it to play a video, it will FC.
When upgrading to the latest version the app will FC every time it is launched. I've cleared the data and cache from the app but it still does it.
Using stock rom 4.2.2 , rooted with xposed installed.
would "force" uninstalling the app and installing it from the store make a difference?

Well i cant really find a good title for my problem.
Usually at night when my phone idle for a few hours its just "falls a sleep" or something
I can see the charging led or a green led if I have a message but no matter how much ill press the wake up button
the screen wont turn on, only if ill hold it for like 10-20 sec the phone will restart.
any idea how i can fix that ?

First time custom rom flashing topic

Hi

This the first time I wanna try a custom rom in my device. Seems rocket science to me :). My device is 3 years old now. Well outside warranty. I do not wish to buy a new device, just improve this one.

I have chosen to go with android revolution hd 7.3. I am currently using stock rom with gingerbread. Here are few questions I would like to be answered.

1. How safe is this custom rom flashy vlashy.

2. I use custom battery from anker. Will it be safe for me to flash custom rom.

3. Although there is a nest android revolution hd 7.3 thread post, I would like a step by step guide to flashing android revolution hd rom for HTC sensation for newbie/dummies.(that's me)

Time problem with my Xperia topic

Hi guys, my X1's time seems running too slow. For instance, in real time 2 minutes had past, but my X1 only showed 1 minute past only. It feels like my X1 has 120seconds counted as 1 minute!! Consequently, even if 2 hours real time has past, but my X1 has only past 1 hours. This is troubling me already. At first, I thought it was the ROM problem, hence I switched to Energy ROM standard today but still give me same problem.

T-Mo S3, was 4.3, reset to 4.1.2. Trying to root for the first time. topic

Stock T-Mobile S3 started getting slow, so I decided to rebuild. I reset the device, and attempted to root it for the first time and install Archidroid 1.x. Odin 3.09 loaded CWM Recovery and PhilZ (or at least claimed to), but the system booted into the standard Android manager, and it won't install from the media, claiming the file fails verification.

I'm pretty sure the phone was upgraded OTA to 4.3 before I wiped it, but now claims to be 4.1.2. Does this mean that I'm suffering the effects of Knox, or is there something very basic that I'm missing?

Thanks for any replies; this isn't my first rooted phone, but I'm no pro.

Power Button Hold Time topic

Hey guys, I asked this over on androidcentral and didnt get any responses, I think it might be more geared for you guys though.

Does anyone know what determines the length of time the power button needs to be held in for to turn the tablet on? It doesnt seem like its related to the hardware because its takes 5 long sec to turn it on and only 2 sec to turn it off. I would really like to change the power on time to about 3 sec if thats possible.

date & time settings opens during a call topic

am i the only one that ends a call with the "date and time settings" screen open?

apparently, the notification's screen opens during the call (with my cheek or somehow) and the clock on the top left side get touched which opens the "date and time settings" screen...very annoying !

Hi... My phone is acting madly... Wifi unreasonably and randomly gets unable to connect to any network after turning it off and on... And I have to turn it off, then reboot the phone twice sequentially so that it works again. I have also changed the framework2.jar file with HTCZ715E's and it is that which has made it work to this extent... Anyone knows a wifi fix for JB?
I have deleted wpa_supplicant too by the way.

[Q] White Nexus 5: how it looks after some time topic

Hi everyone!

I've been thinking of getting a white Nexus 5 (i really like the black-white contrast, and even the white touch for the ear piece). On thing I dread, though, is discoloration on the white back side or turning yellow or getting dirty or ... etc, etc...

I know there have been some rumors that the white back of the N5 is prone to discoloration, prominent marks from wear-and-tear, yellow-ish spots and so on..

Since the N5 has been launched for some time now, can anyone with a white model share his/hers experience? Did you suffer from discoloration or marks on the white backside over time?

Note: I did search the forum for such a topic and I know there is one that discusses the differences between black and white versions. I just wanted a new thread that is focused on the way the white N5 survives the test of time and wear-and-tear.

Hello all, if this has been asked before I apologize, but I have thumbed through these forums for quite a while now and to no avail via Google searching I think I probably already have my answer but here goes anyway. I own the 2013 Kindle Fire HD 7". The one with 8GB storage and firmware 11.3.1 right out of the box. As per the root instructions in a different thread I was able to successfully root the thing. I understand there are no custom ROM's yet; however, has anyone here figured out a method of manually changing the date and time? I would very much like to do this for a few games I play. Yes I know this is a cheating method, but I suppose it bothers me I have virtually no customization options for the later model kindles. I'm debating about returning it to Amazon and perhaps upgrading to a Nexus 7. If anyone has the answer though to the date and time fix, I am all ears. Thanks
