Hello, I am willing to add different options to htc settings in sense 4.1/4.0. Can anyone guide me please on how to do this. I have searched but i only found one for aosp roms. Those didn't work.. I have VTS Studio too. Thanks

Apn settings gone? topic

Im on 4.3 stock deox rooted rom. I flash it to Verizon and need to set apn setting up. But I can't find apn settings anywhere. Even tired set it up in hangout and it won't save. Have apn setting been removed or is it this rom

1. Download settings.apk
2. Copy settings.apk to /system
3. Change permissions to 0644
4. MOVE settings.apk to /priv-app
5. Restart and...

[4.4] True Quick Settings topic

Sony divided notification and quick settings in 4.4, but it's not easy to use quick settings with one finger now.
I managed to show quick settings in notification tab!

1. Decompile SystemUI.apk

2. Open SystemUI.apk\res\layout\somc_tabs_status_bar_expan ded.xml, then edit

Code:

This will hide tabs.

3. Open SystemUI.apk\res\layout\somc_quick_settings_tab.xm l and copy LinearLayout
For example (.681),

5. Now quick settings should be shown on notification tab, but tiles are too big.
To make them smaller, open SystemUI.apk\res\values\dimens.xml and edit

to 50.0dip or something you like.

6. Save all and compile.

7. Install SystemUI.apk with adb or recovery, Done!

[Q] problem with APN settings and MMS topic

Hello
I got SonyEricsson Xperia Mini pro with cyanogenmod 9.
And i got problem with APN settings.
I have manually feeded my operator MMS settings and they work fine, but if i but my operator mobile Internet APN settigs to my phone MMS messages stop to work. If i delete my mobile internet APN settings the MMS start to work again with no problem.
I dont understand why they dont work with together. Are there any fix to this problem or do i just to life without one of these services.
I have tried my operator WAP setting and MMS settings together but i got the same problem.

I read some post about notification bar modification...
At first, I just want to make my notification pull-down background transparent
But after some try with xblast tools.
I found that will never work for my phone.
my phone is HTC desire 200 TW
with stock Rom(Android 4.0.3 with HTC sense 4), rooted and unlocked but with no custom recovery flashed (cuz there's no custom recovery for my phone)
then I discovered that how to mod the notification bg by modding the systemui.apk in /system/app
but now I want the quick settings in the notification pull-down menu too
so I thought that maybe there's somehow can I port or use some "code" to add the quick settings button on my notification menu
(ps. I am using power toggle, but I think that's too slow and use too much memory, as my phone is low-end phone)

N9005 HDMI out settings topic

Hello everyone!

I have a Samsung Smartdock and my Note 3 works fine with it, but I noticed that the framerate is a little bit low and the output resolution don't match that of the TV (the image gets cropped on the borders). So I've been looking around to see if there's an app to play with hdmi out settings but all I'm getting are apps for specific devices (Nexus 10, Evo 4G and Droid X). Does anyone know if there's a generic one or one for note 3?

ROM with Camera settings topic

As we all know the Camera on the N4 is really sh1tty because of the Continuous Burst mode.

It can be fixed by going into Camera -> Settings > Camera Settings > Focus > AUTO

I've flashed so many ROMs and now i can't remember which ROM has that OPTION!!!

I've tried Purity and CM11, but their Camera apps don't have advanced settings.

Please help me out on this one, i'm kinda OCD on phones so everything needs to be perfect or otherwise i'm very pissed!!!!

Hi there, i'm trying to add the xposed apk to the settings menu. I've decompiled the apk, modified the lines of code required, deoxed it (smali / baksmali) and recompiled the apk. Ive pused the settings file back, changed the relevant read write permissions. It shows fine in its directory. Restart phone and settings wont open... Ive got the original settings apk & odex files and as soon as ive pushed those back settings works. Ive tried signing the modified apk, but im just clutching at straws at this point.

Can anyone advice? Has anyone done the same successfully? Appreciated

i installed xposed,rebooted my phone and when the phone loaded i havnt found the settings in my menu.
i tried to go into the settings from the notification bar and it nothing happened when i clicked it.
i dont have a settings.apk in the rom zip file.

App Ops settings after 4.4.2 update? topic

I used App Ops (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nstaller&hl=en) with 4.3 and disabled a lot settings and I'm wondering did these settings automatically restored with 4.4.2 update or not?

And as 4.4.2 disabled App Ops using, and phone isn't rooted, I can't also check the current settings. Is there some way or I must do factory reset or root (which also does factory reset, when unlocking the bootloader)?

However I have doubts, that something isn't OK, for example, when I open WiFi, there are only saved network, scan doesn't find any networks (but I can add and connect manually), when using WiFi Analyzer, I can see a lot networks, but when I select some and choose to connect, I always get failed.
