No sound? topic

My phone is stock. When I turn on the phone, I get the first few minutes with all sounds and playback, but after a few minutes, all sounds turn off as if the phone is on mute. No sound on speaker nor the headphones. I do get all the sounds if I connect to my bluetooth speaker though. Does anyone have or had the same problem and know if there is a fix? Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I have flashed my ROM to 4.4 official but afther that I've got a very bad problem with my sound.
After I answer a phone call or call someone myself, my cell phone's sound doesn't come out of speaker and it comes from the hearing speaker on top of the cell phone (The speaker that when we call someone hear his voice from it). This problem continues until I restart the phone.

What's my problem? What can I do to solve it?

When I was receiving a phone call only the vibration was working, no sounds, I couldn't slide the screen to answer properly, which means that I was able to slide, but the round icon of the slide could not catch the phone green icon. I could play no sound at all on videos, spotify, alarm, etc.

Currently settings about my phone:

Samsung S4 i9505 - 4.4.2
Baseband: i9505XXUFNBH
Bootloader: I9505XXUBMG4

Any fixes? People saying different things and really want a well explained correct answer. I've had previous problems and really just want to get this sorted

Galaxy s4 No sound after Flashing Different Roms topic

I recently Had a problem with my Galaxy s4 Were if you flash too many roms or ones not ment for your phone Or reflashing a stock rom You could end up with out any sound or wifi.. I have figured out how to fix this problem this worked for myself. After talking with a few people I figured out how to fix this problem. What I did was headed over to www.sammobile.com and reflashed the stock rom from there and than rebooted in to recovery mode and factory reset and wiped cache rebooted the phone and worked......

Or if you have wifi just flash a different kernel for your phone....

Hi, I recently Upgraded to kItkat & and now i notice that When i play a Video, sound is routed from Earpiece not from loudspeaker. When i restart & play the video again it is played on Loudspeaker. Same thing is also happening when i receive a Call. Ringtone is being played from earpiece not on the speaker, so its very hard to hear. Any Solution ??

Hi guys. Recently I revert my firmware to 4.2.2, then I root my phone using ioroot, install CWM, and flash dorimanx kernel 2.9. Now stock music player does not produce any sound while playing Hi Fi sound (the Life is good song) but still performing well on mp3. Anyone have same problem ? One more thing, how to make my new music folder indexed on stock music player ? It can detect my music but not showing my folder on the folder tab. Thank you.

I've tried a lot of methods but none seem to really worked. I managed to bring out the camera sound menu to appear in the camera app but when I tap on off, it doesnt respond and it still stays on.

Let me start off with I'm an idiot. Now that that's over with let me explain what I did to end up here and what I've tried to do to fix it, to no avail of course.

I was running Android 4.3 rooted with cf-autoroot. My software was messing up and with the news that kitkat was available I wanted to unroot and upgrade.

Using a guide I found online I flashed a version of 4.2.2 android. the file name was I337MVLUAMDJ_I337MOYAAMDJ_RWC.zip

Of course when it finished I had the no sound, no wifi problem because i reverted back to the wrong android system.

I then using twrp flashed VANIR and got wifi but still no sound/calls.

As per other threads I tried flashing I9505XXUDMH8_I9505OXXDMHA_BTU with ODIN but every time i would get the error:
<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.

The only somewhat success I had was i was able to flash RWC-I337MVLUEMK6-20131125124040 using ODIN 1.85 which is a 4.3 version but still no wifi/sound/calls.

Other files i have tried to flash are GSM_Modem_XXUFNA5_and_LTE_Modem_XXUFNA5(under phone), I9505XXUDMH8-PRE-ROOTED-KNOX_FREE-ODEX-FULL and even tried a pit file: CSB_signed_Fusion3_EUR_0325_V2.pit
Everytime i get Complete(Write) operation failed.

I've put CWM on but still no luck. I need suggestions or a fix please and thank you.

I have an issue with my phone when using bluetooth. This happens when i use the phone trough my car bluetooth or my Jawbone bt earpiece.

When i place a call i get no ring tone and suddenly the other person pics up. They can't hear me and i can't hear them.
This happens randomly / often and i can't find any fix for this.

This is super annoying since this is my company phone and i call customers a lot.
Any fix for this or should i take it back to the dealer?

I've read somewhere that AOSP offers worse sound quality than Sammy ROMs.

Something about AOSP not having access to Samsung drivers, which is the general argument people give for camera quality comparisons as well. The sound chip is from Wolfson, not Samsung though, so wouldn't that mean the sound would remain the same?

My question is not about the volume being low, or using equalizers, but on overall audio quality and fidelity when listening to music (eg.). Is there an audible difference between the ROMs or do they play back the same?

After 4.3 update camera shutter sound gone? topic

Hi all,

This may be a totally noob question and feel free to delete the thread if it's been answered before but here goes. I updated my S3 via Kies to the 4.3 update and all went well and seemed to be working ok. However the camera now has no shutter sounds. I know having it silenced is a good option but sometimes hearing it helps. I've tried changing volumes, rebooting, everything. The only answer I get from Samsung is to factory rest the phone. Would that help? Is there another way? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a problem trying to play videos.., any of them in any player... It seems than any time i push play button, que video run too fast and with no sound!

A minute video could last a couple of seconds! :confused:

I´m not sure, buy I believe it happens since a week ago.., but then way, i´m on Elegancia 6.2 version..
