[Q] Very strange problem with sound...! topic

Hi there,

I have flashed my ROM to 4.4 official but afther that I've got a very bad problem with my sound.
After I answer a phone call or call someone myself, my cell phone's sound doesn't come out of speaker and it comes from the hearing speaker on top of the cell phone (The speaker that when we call someone hear his voice from it). This problem continues until I restart the phone.

What's my problem? What can I do to solve it?

Very Strange BUG topic

I wanna question if somebody have the same bug or know the solution.
If i flash any Android 4.2.2 ROM my optimus g will work well at the begining but past 5 minutes i enter to an app and it dont work. Tried flashing differents kernel. Then I enter in any app even home or launcher and it turns black. If I lock the screen and unlock it, it will turn on only capacitive lights and the screen dont even turn on never, had to force reboot.

Please help me. I know some basics things but i dont know what is the problema with this.

Hello ,
I was flashing my 5830 with CWM then he shuted down while he was fully charged.
I was'nt able to reboot in any way (regular , download, recovery) : my screen is black, not even a little light.

But i plug it into the computer, and this time odin recognised it as 0:[COM17].
I was happy, and i put the firmware from samfirmware, and started flashing.
But he gets stucked at setup connection because he says that he can't open the serial COM port.

What can I do ?

My problem is my gs2 is working fine but when i try to reboot or power off it will not start again tell i pull the battery off then place it again
And this is goes with recovery also when i try to reboot system it will not boot just black screen untell i remove the battery again

[Q] Strange charging problem topic

Last night i pluged my lg g2 to charge it. After 1 hour when i checked it was only 5% charged and very hot. I restarted it and after that it was charging fine. I had 1 app running and it was DOTS. Can it be becouse of DOTS? Did someone expiriance this problem before? Do i have to worry?

Strange LTE / 4G issues HTC One T-Mobile topic

My T-Mobile speeds are pretty good. According to speed test pointing to the same server my speeds for the last few months were

4g (non-lte) up to 15 down, up to 5 up
LTE 35-50 down, 20-25 up


Yesterday I had issues with LTE, it was around 5 down. I thought too many people must have gotten T-Mobile in my area
Then I tested it again at night, same deal. I switched to 4g hspa (GSM\WCDMA Auto) and my download was crazy fast, up to 25mbps, while up was still under 5. Then I tried switching back to LTE (GSM\WCDMA\LTE Auto), but the icon wouldn't change to LTE. My samsung sitting a few inches away was showing LTE, but I didn't test samsung because it has used all high speed data. I rebooted the phone, still showed 4G, not LTE. Then I pulled the sim out of HTC One and put it in Nexus 5 - Nexus showed LTE right away and tested at over 35mbps. Put back into HTC One - this time LTE showed up, but speeds were still less than 5. (I did all tests at exact same place, with the phones laying in the same spot on the desk). I called T-Mobile tech support - no help
Then I took HTC One closer to the window, and speed went up to 30. Put it back on the same spot on the desk and speeds are fine, over 30. Tested 4g hspa - under 15. Today, speeds are up to 50, while 4g hspa again under 15.

What's the deal? Did T-Mobile guy do something?

To summarize:
1. When LTE on HTC One was very slow, HSPA was very fast and Nexus 5 LTE was very fast (I didn't not test Nexus hspa unfortunately)

2, When switching from LTE to 4g hspa, switching back didn't work. Rebooting didn't help either. Trying the same thing today - it works but takes a while. I noticed that if I switch to LTE and then switch wifi ON and then OFF, LTE comes back right away. But without toggling WIFI it takes over a minute.

3. One other interesting thing - when I place a call LTE switches to 4g. After you hang up it switches to LTE, BUT -
On HTC One - it switches right away!!
On Samsung - always takes a little time. maybe even over a minute
On Nexus 5 - sometimes a few seconds, other times up 5 minutes!!!!

Why HTC One is able to switch to LTE right away, while Nexus 5 may take up to 5 minutes? is there an easy way (via some program) to force Nexus and Samsung to switch right away?

P.S. Another issue with HTC One - wifi is much weaker when further away from the router. I'd get 5mbps where Nexus 5 and Samsung would get 15-20. I had same issue with my previous nexus 5 but my new nexus 5 seems to be much better on wifi now. I know it has a lot to do with the router, when when some phones are OK with the router and others aren't, that means some phones will be OK with public wifi while others won't be. I tested the public wifi with my old nexus 5, it was 30-50% slower than samsung

You must have noticed I'm a new member. This forum came highly recommended by every site and every other forum I had visited in search of a solution to my uniquely strange problem. It amazing what wonderful job you guys are doing solving people's problems for free.

Phone status: Samsung Galaxy Note 2, upgraded to android 4.3, rooted but not yet flashed a custom rom, hard reset a couple of weeks ago.

Without warning, my note 2 started acting up. I picked it up after an hour of receiving a call only to notice that it was stuck on the samsung logo screen. Prior to that, I can confirm that I did not tamper with it in any way. I turned it off and on again, this time around, all I could see is a screen filled with strange tiny ash colored horizontal lines from top to bottom. It simply got stuck on this unresponsive screen and refused to boot any further. I turned it off and on several times and even pulled the battery several times but there was no change. When I connect it to a pc, it appears as "local disc Q" and when i try to open it, I get the error message "Access denied". I also tried a hard reset using the volume up + home + power on several times, not a single change was noticed. I've attached a picture of the strange phone screen.

If anyone has encountered a similar problem or if anyone has an idea of how this can be fixed, and kind enough to take me through the step by step process of fixing it, I will be super grateful!
Pls let me mention here that my IT skills are not very advanced, so please use simple terms. Let me also apologise if it turns out that a similar thread has been posted on this forum, I searched but couldnt find any with my kind of problem before I decided to post.

Rooted or not? very strange topic

Hi, i've purchased an siii today gti9300 and i am very confused as to what is going on.

First of all, it shows that there is na update available but when I try to download it it says cannot be done because its been modified. (tried the miscrosd fix even though am not using a microsd, and couple of other things and nothing worked)

So I wanted to know if its rooted or not, installed root checked and it says that it is. Then I found out OTA isnt good for a rooted phone. Great so lets unroot!

Went into download mode and the first 2 rows are blank and it appears to tell me that it isnt rooted so i am now very confused as when i tried to flash the stock rom on odin it failed.

I9300XXELL4 is the firmware curtrently instaleld and i wanted to reflash it with the same as its the stock firmware

The reason I am trying to fix this is because I believe its causing the issue with my touch screen which is tempremental. it works but sometimes i have to press it few times or when i scroll it clicks instead. I read the below which is makign me think the software is to blame:

Strange Issue topic

Is it possible for a phone to just reboot itself into a boot loop once in a while? My phone running Cyber-SGSIV just did it and i fixed it by rebooting into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik. It might be connected with the fact that i restored a backup of the rom i'm running now coming from KitKat. I just wanted to know if this was a regular occurence.

Hi I just updated to 4.2.2 and have noticed that the menu and back buttons flash every so often , anyone else have this , and aso seen that there is a file called emulatedwith 2 items in it a - file called O or 0 with a size of 5,65GB
and a file called legacy with 84 items in it with a size of 5,65 GB

[Q] Strange issues - XDA App, SD Card... topic

Good day all!

I am hoping you guys might have some ideas on these two issues.

First, after install, I can use the XDA App. As soon as I reboot, the app is gone -- this seems to happen with several apps, usually games, but the XDA App is always disappearing. Maybe VZW and Samsung don't want me to run it? :eek:

Second, I have a brand new 64GB SD card in my phone. It says it was manufactured by Samsung, but I seem to keep having it lose pictures, videos, etc - they are replaced by a broken image icon and can't be viewed or played. Could the card be damaged? Could it be illegitimate and is there a way to find out the actual manufacturer? Can I use CHKDSK on an SD card - maybe there are just bad sectors?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Very, very strange problem ! topic

i have a Galaxy S4 i9505, and yesterday something really strange happened. I left my phone charging overnight on my pc and in themorning it wasnt charged it had only 3% left and after the battery has drained the phone shut down, and then POOF! it won't charge and turn on no sign of life no LED no vibration, nothing. i tried a new battery nothing happened tried different charger and full battery and nothing seems to fix it. so i used a galaxy mini 2 waiting to find a fix for this and the same thing happened to the mini i left it plugged into my pc and the next day no sign of life. it's very strange. just to let ou know that i dont charge my phone on the pc this is the first time i leave it plugged in and when plugged it says that it's charging but somehow it stops and kills the phone . PLEASE help ! :confused:

Strange problem with internal memory filling up without reason. topic

My mate has a I9100. All firmware is latest Nordic stock, it has never been rootet, never flashed with any firmware or anything.

The available internal memory of the device gets slowly filled up without reason. We don't know why, but we expect it to have something to do with charging. Every night he charges the device and every morning there's a little less internal memory available.

The other night my friend set it to charge, and when he disabled the charger, only 75 MB of internal memory remained. He has no where near that amount of apps installed to only leave such a small amount of available memory.

This has happened about four times before, and every time a factory reset is needed.

Have any of you heard about this bug before, and do any of you know how to remedy this issue?

I'm thinking about doing a full factory reset and install latest Nordic stock ROM via Odin but I'm open for suggestions.

[Q] Very Strange Problems topic

Strange problem:
I'm on 4.3 ML3, Note 3 MOD v3.5, and on Devil kernel latest version.
I noticed that when my note 2 is being charged while it's turned OFF, after 5 minutes of being turned off it will automatically turn on again!! ONLY when its charging.
Strange Problem 2:
Sudden restarts.. Not random restarts while its locked or anything, it restarted a couple of times while im just playing with it!
STRANGEST PROBLEM OF ALL:
I was messing around with my note 2, then I was in app drawer.. I tapped on Settings app, and the screen had about 10 horizontal a bit thick Black lines covering the screen, and they grew bigger and bigger until the screen was totally black!! This only happened once, and a restart fixed it.. What would you like to say about this?

[Q] Strange charging topic

My SGS3 was working fine for all these days, but from last week my phone is not getting charger via power adapter but when i connect my S3 to USB its starts charging.
Its strange, when my S3 is connected to power adapter it shows that is charging but literally its not eventhough i left my S3 on power adapter for an hour its on same point(%) when plugged in.

I dont see this issue when connected to my laptop via USB cable.
do anyone face this kind of issue? or what could be wrong?

[Q] Strange problems (screen mirroring and calls) topic

I have 2 problems in my xperiaZ1:

1) I have a problem with screen mirroring feature in xperia Z1. While the TV shows that the phone is connected, the phone still shows "preparing to mirror". After some time, a msg in the phone saying cannot mirror.
A samsung Note 3 get mirrored to the same TV in just one click. Whereas, xperia z1 is not able to.

2) While on the call, the other person can hear me only when I hold the phone properly (meaning with my hand to the ear). The moment I rest my phone to my shoulders (while my hands are engaged with something else etc,.) the other person is unable to hear me. There is no network issue as I tried this at home where the person was able to hear me properly when the phone was properly held with the hand, but the moment I rest it on my shoulders, there seems to be a problem. This is a weird problem. I hope you have understood it correctly.

I keep having this weird problem where either blue tooth or audio jack connected music playing through Google play will just stop. I have to manually press play Again and it will start again.

Hi, when i run Antutu benchmark Test in my device i get very very different result, my nexus goes from 18000 to 29000, can someone tell me why this happens? in details i can see that all statistic of my device are nerfed when i make low score, and overpowered when i make good score.
