The NEXT Ultra.. topic

It's been one year. I love this phone.. best ever and now with recent updates and development, even better. But one year is a long time. A year ago this was the latest and greatest.. now I'd like to see a better screen, faster processor, definitely a MUCH better camera & 4K Video.. at least. Sony is starting to fall behind on camera matters and that makes no sense.. Sony makes some of the best cameras and sensors in the world.. but the iPhone camera overall is better and cleaner, Nokia is totally kicking butt and Samsung's new sensor technologies starting with the S5 and future phones is serious stuff. The Z Ultra camera is at best OK from 3 years ago standards and the Z1's was a disappointment while the Z2's is yet to be taken for a good ride but seems just a tweaked firmware version of the same hardware.. I don't hear any rumours of a possible successor for the Z Ultra. I wonder when and what Sony will come out with to better this phone just as they've done with the Z2. The Z2 is definitely not revolutionary, just incremental. But that's enough.. improving a great product is a great way to go.

[Q] Droid Ultra/ Maxx: Change of IMEI topic

For Samsung, there are tools which can easily change the IMEI of the phone.

I am looking at something for the Droid Ultra and Droid Maxx.

I have posted here about potential cause why brand new devices are not working on Indian carriers. The IMEI may not be published by Verizon to the central database which other carriers globally share.

Someone with an S3 had a similar issue where the device would fail to register on the network. The service center changed the IMEI temporarily to test and the phone was right on the network after reboot.

This is something that I am looking at testing if it is easy enough for me to accomplish.

Any pointers would be helpful.

I know there is a legal aspect to this, but probably the bad guys already know how to do this.

sound on my Z Ultra GPE is acting up topic

I had my phone hooked up to my truck stereo system, everything worked fine and suddenly the video sounded like crap out of only one speaker. I had to unpower the phone 3x and it finally got back to normal... Is my cell going bad?

Is there a super ultra wipe flashable script? topic

My phone's software/kernel/partition (or something like that) is so messed up that my battery life sucks on all roms (even on roms I changed back to after receiving the problem that never had the problem), my phone seems to overheat, and reboots/freezes all the time. Battery stats says nothing really. My battery life is like TWO to THREE times LESS than before I flashed a bunch of ROM and kernels.

So basically I need something flashable that:

- Wipe all RE-BUILDABLE partitions COMPLETELY (and then rebuilds them) and/or gives cleans all partitions
- Formats and cleans everything on the phone (in a way it doesn't break any default features of the phone)
- Fixes any kernel bugs/glitches that retain after flashing
- Fixes all modem issues (like that flashable modem fix I saw but incorporated with everything above)
- Sets everything to default settings
- COMPLETELY and SAFELY removes Wanam and XPOSED framework out of the phone (I think it is causing me problems)

Basically, I think I broke something and want to completely fix the issue, so I can SUPER clean flash a KitKat rom and not have uncommon issues that the ROM does not have (I'm currently on 4.3)

Doesn't anyone try to root T2 Ultra. Xperia D5322 ?? I've searched all the whole day in google and in XDA forums, however I can't find it. How to root it ? T2 Ultra can unlock bootloader but I'm not sure how to root it, yet. Even no forum for this device in XDA :D :D

[Q] Using a DAC with Droid Ultra topic

Hi, I want to get the fiio e18 dac for this phone however I'm not sure if it will work. I'm running 4.4 and i've heard there are issues using DACs with kit kat, so if I flash a rom like pac rom would it then work? Has anyone tried this yet? I would like to know for sure before buying the fiio.

Z Ultra GPe USB OTG not working topic

USB OTG doesn't seem to work - have tried to connect different USB devices through a USB OTG cable but the phone is not picking up any of them at all - nothing in the status/notifications on the phone or on the connected devices.

Anybody else had better luck or is this a real issue?

Hey I have recently flashed the gpe 4.4.2 for xperia z ultra and I have benchmarked and found my phone is under what it is meant to be (i was using antutu) it Is sitting under the s4 and is meant to be above all but the note 3. I am at factory clock and I have 1.2g of ram free and I don't understand why it is not..well as powerful as it should be.
No background processes were running at the time. It got a score of 24712 and its meant to have something in the 3000 mark

Z ultra loud vibrate topic

Hi Guys,

I noticed today that my Z ultra vibrate is loud. I actually hear something inside the phone like a fly or piece of paper or small object was stucked.

It's very annoying and sounds like the vibratory is broken or something so I temporary disable any hectic feedback and notifications (vibrate)

Is anybody who experience this issue and was able to fix?
