[Q] Trying to get into download mode, but it goes straight to fastboot topic
Hey all,
I recently got into a bit of strife with my G2 but eventually fixed that, and now Im trying to flash the stock firmware back on so I can go back to square one, but every time I try to get into download mode (power off, hold volume up, plug in usb) the small download mode box shows for less than a second, and it switches over to fastboot mode. Does anyone know how I can get it to stay in download mode?

this phone was kinda bricked by bad flash and no battery, it was a pain to get it on to charge form 0%, then i could flash it

[Q] Switch from Sprint to Straight Talk topic
XDA I really need your help.
So I am with Sprint at the moment and just bought a Straight Talk sim to try out before I commit and ditch Sprint. I can not get the sim to work and get cell signal. I know the sim works because I popped it in my girlfriends HTC one X and it picked up a signal at least.
The thing is, I don't have any place in my settings to change APNs or anything. It's like the phone is modified for CDMA somehow. I bought it from Google Play and not Sprint.
Any help is really appreciated.

Mms with straight talk on att topic
Ok I have been reading for days
I have a note 3 att branded locked
I am using straight talk
I can not get or send a mms message (picture)
When I try to get one I get a download box that will never complete
I have verified the settings on the straight talk Web site and the application
I have tried the ideas I have seen posted but I still can't get one.
Someone suggested it could be the sim card?
I have even turned off lte and tried then turned it on and tried.

[Q] Moving to Straight Talk PLEASE READ!! topic
So I'm stressing out cause i've been researching all day and have came up with a million answers so i decided i should just make a post and hope for the best.
I have a US Cellular Galaxy S3 SCH-R530U 4.3.1 ROOTED.
I already have a Straight Talk SIM Card in it, however it has no service hooked up. None of the hidden codes to unlock my SIM is working on 4.3.1 and they just keep saying No Network Found
I've read that i can somehow flash my phone to get it to work with Straight Talk but i dont know how? I know it can work.
I just need to basically unlock my SIM so that it can work on Straight Talks network.

Anyone have working data on Straight Talk (T-Mobile) this morning? topic
I woke up this morning to my phone saying I need to sign into the network HOME. The phone shows 3G/H but cant connect to Google's services, apps cant get to data and when I try to go anywhere in the browser it redirects me to a T-Mobile web page saying I dont have a working data plan and to sign up for a data plan. I'm in Atlanta, GA.
APN is :
straight talk
wap.tracfone
8080
http://mms.tracfone.com
mcc = 310
mnc = 260
I doubt its going to be fixed on here but I am wondering if its global or if I should keep harping on them because its specific to my SIM.

[Solution] APN fix for TracFone (Straight Talk) variant when using custom ROMs topic
I have a TracFone (Straight Talk) Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 variant. (SCH-S960L d2tfnspr) Whenever I used a custom ROM made for Sprint devices LTE/Data and/or MMS never worked properly. This is because the APNs the SCH-S960L uses differs from the standard Sprint APNs. It was extremely difficult trying to figure out what the APNs were since the TracFone APNs floating around on the internet are for Straight Talk BYOP. (AT&T and T-Mobile)
Finally I discovered a solution. Someone else in my household uses the same model phone but theirs is on stock TouchWiz. Using APN Backup and Restore I backed that phone's APNs.
Now for what I did after backing up the working APNs and for you need to do to fix your phone. You're ROM must support root access. While I'm not quite sure I believe you also need a custom recovery. (You probably have one already since you flashed your custom ROM) So I would recommend using CWM or TWRP. This may be necessary to convert a user app into system app.
Once you have this download the file I've attached. Do not rename it since the app you will be using requires it to be named that way. Go to the Play store and download HiAPN. You will need to give it root access and make it a system app. It will prompt you to do so. The reason it needs all these permissions is to access the APNs. Once you've done this use the restore feature and select the file. The file you downloaded must be in the folder for HiAPN. ~/HiDroid_Net/HiAPN Once this completes, check that the Network Mode in your settings is set to LTE/CDMA/EvDo. HiAPN may change it to a GSM mode which is incorrect. Then just go ahead and restart your phone. The final step is demote HiAPN and remove it if you choose to. It's requesting many permissions and it's partially in a foreign language. (What you need to do is in English) You can use an app like Titanium Backup to remove it since you can't the normal way because it's currently a system app.
I truly hoped this helped you since it helped me. Feel free to ask questions and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge.

Droid Mini with Straight Talk topic
I have a Droid Mini with Straight Talk and I am having two issues.
(1) Everything you start up the phone it says "This SIM card is from an unknown source" and you have to click "ok"
(2) Sometimes I have random problems sending SMS (i am using hangout) however Google Talk seems to always work (of course also using hangout).
Does anyone else have these issues or know of a fix?
Thanks
