Multi user crash on custom 4.4.2 roms (CM11, Omnirom) topic

Hello,

I've tried both nightly and snapshot versions of CM11 on my Nexus 10. I have also tried the nightly version of Omnirom.

All gave me problems with multi users: I've created 2 more users (one normal, one restricted), but when I tried to switch to one of the users, I got error messages of system apps crashing - launcher crashed, system UI crashed, etc.

Multi user work fine on stock 4.4.2 rom (rooted), I've also tried the deodexed stock rom published here, and it also work. But for some reason it doesn't work for me on CM11 or Omnirom...

Is this a known issue? Is there something I can do in order to make it work?
Can someone who uses these roms test it and tell me if you also have issues with multi users?

Any help would be appreciated!

This ROM is the best I have tested. The only big problem is that sometimes I can not turn off the mobile internet after using wifi, which makes it impossible to use. Someone can tell me something about this? And stable version? For when? I really wanted to use this software ... is a maximum. Greetings to all

All my recipients claim that they can't hear me and i can't hear them clearly.. my in-call volume is already at its max.

Looking for OmniROM with Multi Window Support. topic

Hello everyone!

So i am really hoping that someone here can help point me in the right direction...

I just purchased an LTE Nexus 7 2013 32 GB Tablet which is model DEB. Now i have OmniROM for my WiFi only Nexus 7 2013 tablet which is model FLO.

For some reason I can't seem to find the unofficial OmniRom thread on xda for getting OmniROM.

Now I am looking for the OmniROM ROM that has multi-window support, if i remember correctly at the time i installed it on my Nexus 7 FLO tablet the only OmniROM that had mult-window support was an unofficial OmniROM ROM. While doing some looking around xda for the OmniROM thread I think I may have read that the official OmniROM ROM now has multi-window support.

Can anyone confirm if the official OmniROM ROM does in fact have multi-window support?

Again, if anyone can provide me with a link to the xda thread for OmniROM for the Nexus 7 Model DEB tablet i would really appreciate it.

Will i be able to install Omni ROM by:

-Booting into recovery
-Wiping data/factory reset
-Wiping cache
-Wiping dalvic cache (under advanced)
-Choosing install Rom from sd card
-Locating Rom and flashing it ?

Without any problems?

Running CM11 4.4.2, which came with the Cyanogenmod installer.

Omnirom for Galaxy Ace? topic

I've seen around in the forum a patch and a kernel for the Galaxy Ace made by Mardon rated to work on CM11 and Omnirom but I still didn't find any trace of Omnirom anywere. Does anyone can point me in the right direction? Thank you all!

Internal Storage Not working After Omnirom installation topic

Hi guys

I recently installed the latest omnirom (v4.4 / Kitkat), which can be found in the post below.

After following all instructions and what seemed to be a successful installation, my phone seem to be unable to access it's internal storage. This leads to the camera, galary and other aps not working.

Note that I have tried the following:
1. Reformatted internal storage using gparted. I reformated it to fat32.
2. Installed supersu and tried using different aps to fix internal storage. I did not find any aps that actually helped.
3. Tried SlimKat rom instead of Omnirom. Same issue still prevails.

Can anyone give me some information on solving this problem?

Omnirom stuck in bootanimation for Galaxy Mega 6.3 topic

I have been trying to get omnirom to work for the Galaxy Mega 6.3, but its stuck in bootanimation. The first build I tried worked, but none of the build that I compiled this month worked.

[Q] Nightly OmniROM 4.4.2 Speaker Sound topic

During call, I switch to speaker phone but found out the sound for speaker phone not loud enough. I already set all the volume to max.
Anyway to increase the speaker volume?

[Q] Hang at yellow triangle after installing OmniROM topic

I just tried switching from CM11 to OmniROM and have hit a bit of a problem. The initial boot of OmniROM works fine, but rebooting after the first boot causes the phone to hang at the yellow triangle. Tried to follow instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2544790 .

Initial install was done from CWM, I flashed Renderbroken's OmniROM kernel for CWM, then I ran mr-cook's wipe, installed the i777 OmniROM from 1/24, then installed paranaoid android's gapps mini, then rebooted. Everything seemed fine, but after the first reboot it hung at the yellow triangle screen.

Rebooted into recovery, this time in TWRP I installed the zips from the SD card and added all 4 to be installed in succession, this time Renderbroken's OmniROM kernel for TWRP, mr-cook's wipe, i777 OmniROM from 1/24, then gapps mini. This time I wiped cache and wiped dalvik before reboot. Booted fine, ran well, but still hangs on a reboot.

Can download a new copy of the ROM in case there are any issues, but didn't see any other posts on that.

Any suggestions?

I've been working on Omnirom for a while now but this is the first version which boots.

Bugs:
Camera broken :( (Probably due to me deleting some lines in config.xml to get it to build)
There is no superuser app installed. (Use SuperSu for now and I'll integrate it soon
Audio is broken. (probably due to wrong audio-caf files)
Quick setting tiles take 2-3 taps to respond.
At first, I noticed that apps from Google Play couldn't download but a few reboots fixed that.
LED for notifications is broken.

To-Do:
1. Integrate SuperSU and a file manager into rom.
2. Fix camera
3. Fix audio
4. Fix LED
You tell me...


Installation:

1. Full wipe (factory reset and dalvik wipe)
2. Install ROM
3. Install Gapps
4. Reboot
Note: There is no CAMERA installed at first.
