cannot root after updating to jellybean 4.2.2 topic

Hi people
first time poster.
i have a seriuos problem here , since i am e noob in the root things and i dont kow wha to do
i have rooted my galaxy note 8 with framaroot jus to use a mouse and keyboard emulator no to do anyhing technical or some ROM things
and then i " regretfully" have updated the device to jelly bean 4.2.2 and now i am lost
im not rooted and though i have the supersu app installed and stuck , it cannot be uninstalled.
i have ried to use root manager to remove the file from inside , it tells me it has been removed however it is not
also it cannot be opened it tels me " there is not SU binary installed , and superSU canot install it , this is a problem"
tried to re-root the devise again , downloaded the latest framaroot . i doesnt work and tells me " failed ry anoher exploit if available"
all of herm are giving me the same thing

so now what to do

for who is going o help , please DUMB i down alitle for me as im not familliar with abbriviation of android

Hi, as many should have read my other thread , i sent my htc one off to htc in texas for the camera replacement and loose micro usb and it came back with 4.4 kitkat and 1.56 , so everything works great but i cant send pics via messaging , mms i guess it is called but i can text words fine and emails and socail networks are fine sending pics

im a noob , but this phone has taught me how to unlock the phone and get root access but none of that stuff has helped me ,, so i would like to go back to the way my phone was before i sent it back with jellybean i cant remember if it was 4.3 or 4.2.2 but i dont care at this point i send pics via mms to many customers and family members and this phone is no good now

PLEASE HELP ME AND PLEASE NO I DONT KNOW THE LINGO SO IF U COULD GIVE ME STRAIGHT ON INSTRUCTIONS LIKE WONDER HOW TO DID ON ROOT AND UNLOCK I THINK I CAN DO IT ;)

I've got a Galaxy S3 I747 it is currently running 4.1.1, I747UCDLK3 Baseband. I'm not exactly a noob when it comes to flashing and rooting, I know my way around CWM and Odin pretty well. But I have a few questions on this 4.3 OTA. (I am a forum noob) :cool:

-Will I still be able to root? (I heard CF works for it)

-Can I install CWM? (Is the Bootloader locked??)

-Will I be be able to I flash other roms than the 4.3 TW like CM11Snapshot? (Is the bootloader locked?)

-What the h*ll is knox and why should I be worried? :eek:

-What is with the boot loader downgrading thing? (Have to do with locked bootloader??)

I AM NOT AT ALL WORRIED ABOUT A FLASH COUNTER OR VOIDING A WARRANTY I AM NOT ON A CONTRACT :p . I JUST DO NO WANT TO HARD BRICK MY PHONE. :rolleyes:

So far, I can't find any ROM for these. I just got my Tab 3 7.0 from AT&T and it's loaded with bloatware and to be honest, I really don't like the stock OS. Is there a way I can get Cyanogenmod or stock jellybean with gapps?

but after i restart the phone the phone hangs and the screen keeps blinking every few seconds

Downgrading to Jellybean topic

I have a Three UK D802 that i have flashed the Spanish Voda KitKat kdz onto. I wanted to downgrade again to Jellybean but the flash tool doesn't seem to work.

The FlashTool doesn't popup a window to ask country and language anymore and the LG tool just says i have the latest version when it pops up.

Help anyone? I don't want to be stuck without root.

1)by flashing the experimental kernel ,will it root and install CWM recovery on my phone ?

2) every Jb install tutorial showing after flashing the experimental kernel ,extract the JB rom `zip and flash the kernel.ftf file by fastboot mode,but their is no kernel in the rom,but their is boot file...?(not boot.image file their is only a boot file and few other files)

3)does this mean i have to first flash the experimental kernel and i have to flash the kernel.ftf or the boot.image in the rom ?

4)i am very confuse could some one answer this questions and give me a step by step guide please don`t say just flash ,tell me like eg:-fastboot mode >select kernel to flash

Kitkat vs jellybean topic

Anyone else think the supposed improvements of KK are more snake oil than anything??

The difference between ics and JB is astounding.

But I've yet to see the same with KK. There's a new theme, which frankly sucks (subjective) .

I haven't seen the supposed improvements in ram.

Or the improved battery life with audio playback.

I'm well aware that many improvements are under the hood, and sure they might be significant, but to ME, the end user, I simply don't see them.

I think I noticed a bigger difference with 4.2.

Problem

There are various problem with browsing under kitkat that google are dragging their feet on or refusing to fix.

User reported problems with chromium webview in kitkat include:-

• text wrap no longer works
• cannot upload files
• cannot save passwords
• cannot force enable zoom
• no inverted rendering

As the feautures above no longer work in Chrome, google have attempted to pull the rug out from under other browsers by removing api's altogether. This smacks of antitrust but that's another story.

Solutions
1. Let's have some custom JB roms folks with all that classic webview goodness
2. Allow using classic webivew in KitKat

[Q] JellyBean 4.1.2 Slim Beans port topic

Hi everyone,
I'm learning to work with roms, and have chosen lloirs excellent build of slim bean 3.15 on the HTC One V. I was wondering if anyone with post experience of working on jb had any advice on things I could tweak or explore the utilisation of on the rom, not just to make it better but also for a good learning experience. So far I have spent the last few days trying to recompile the SystemUI, but today I found the slim jb-apktool, which i thought would hold the answer :'( but to no avail so far. Any help would be super welcome

Android 4.3. jellybean aosp rom on note 3? topic

Would it be possible to port an old build/rom of 4.2 or 4.3 (jellybean) to the note 3? With 4.4, stupid google altered SMS API...which severely limits third party apps' interaction with your sms (ex. text blocking apps no longer work). This is a massive no-no for me.

So would this be possible?

Disable Power Button Mod

This will ONLY work in the E4GT JB 4.1.2 build please do not use this mod on any other build.

Due to the high failure rate of the power button on our older phones, this is a hardware key mod that will disable the power button on our E4GT phones in JB.

Flash this mod in recovery mode.
Please make certain you have a current backup already saved to your phone.
I will not be responsible if your rom does not boot or has any other issues.

Brief guide:
For our builds this is a simple edit of two files.

system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl

Place a comment in front of any line that is still active with the keyword POWER

tried re-installing samsung usb driver of different version but not worked.

My Note 2 is working and detecting when is powered ON,

but when it is in download mode it's not detected by any computer .
