ATT Samsung Galaxy S3 support for LTE Band 2 and LTE Band 5 topic

The ATT Samsung Galaxy S3(I747) has the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 plus MSM 8960 processor. The Qualcomm MSM 8960 is capable of supporting LTE band 17, Band 4(AWS), Band 2 and Band 5. ATT has now launched Band 2 in NYC and Band 5 in the Midwest.

The S3 only supports LTE Band 17 and LTE Band 4(AWS).

Q1. Is there firmware that will make this device support LTE band2 and LTE band 5?

Q2. Is there a SW to make VOLTE calls using the S3?

I am looking to unlock LTE band 2 and LTE band 5 on my ATT GS3.

Hi, guys.
I have ls980 on stock ZVA, rooted and GSM unlocked. 3g works fine, but there is no LTE. I live in Russia, and our LTE bands are 7,20,38.
So, is there any way to enable other LTE bands than 25,26,41? To flash proper radio or baseband may be?

I have an unlocked telus galaxy s3 that i enabled the wcdma 1700 frequency because i want to use it with T-Mobile but how can i tell which frequency the phone is currently using? I know about the dialer code *#2263# but this only allows me to select the frequency manually right? If automatic is selected, it doesn't tell me which frequency my phone is using right?

I'm from Brazil and 3G signal from my carrier is really poor at my home.
So my phone keeps switching between frequencys every time and it causes instability on my signal.
I'd like to change my band to use only 850Mhz like I did in my old Samsung device in order to solve my problem, but when I type *#*#4636*#*# and go to Phone Info > Menu Button > Radio Band Selection there's no options to pick. Why? How to solve this?

Hi everyone, I just bought a LG Optimus G Pro E988 in asia, and now i am living in a country of central america that dosent support 3G 900/2100.
In this country only supports 3G WCDMA 850, and this have to thank to this great website to made me bought this version gsmarena.com/lg_optimus_g_pro_e985-5254.php the specs of this site is wrong !!!

So, i wanna ask you guys kindly, if I can do anything to change my 3G 900/2100 frequency to 850mhz ?

Ok guys, so I have a Sprint Note 3 (er duh lol hence the forum lol) and anyway, I read ALLLLLLLLL those pages about the Note 3 being LTE single band blah blah blah blah some think the single antenna can support multiple bands, some do not, etc etc etc etc.....my question is this: Can it HURT anything to try enabling these two bands in IOThiddenMenu and has anyone already tried?

Edit:: Forget I asked, just close the thread: It just takes and unchecks the box after I check it, so I'm assuming the hardware just isn't there henceforth the software won't enable something that doesn't exist. Oh well, it was wishful thinking! lol

2nd Edit:: And now for my first post I feel exceedingly stupid! lol

[Q] "Band Selection" in service menu topic

I'm tempted to change this, but should I?

I have the F320K and I got into the service menu using 5457#*320#, then into the WCDMA service menu where I can see "Band selection".
In here, it has all the GSM and WCDMA bands selected, but nothing under LTE (it has B1, B3, B7 and B8 as options).

My brain tells me this is stopping me from using 4G here in the UK, but would I be okay enabling B3 and B8 in this case? (those are the bands the K variant is advertised as supporting).

Please help, I don't want to kill my nice new phone. :)
