[Q] LS980 SIM Issue? topic

So a few days ago i was able to text perfectly fine and make calls on my G2 after flashing the modified rayglobe rom. I bought this G2 off of a friend and on friend Sprint accidently blacklisted the phone, BUT, they un-blacklisted it on monday (checked through swappa and a call via sprint) All yesterday it kept saying "restricted access changed voice service blocked" even after it being un-blacklisted, tried multiple new roms even AOSP ones. I assumed that sprint locked my SIM possible so i got a new one from T-mobile. I put that one in today and now i get a notifacation i have a voicemail but still says i have no service. Any idea on how to fix this?

[Q] LTE band 7 on ls980? topic

Hi, guys.
I have ls980 on stock ZVA, rooted and GSM unlocked. 3g works fine, but there is no LTE. I live in Russia, and our LTE bands are 7,20,38.
So, is there any way to enable other LTE bands than 25,26,41? To flash proper radio or baseband may be?

Couldn't find an answer to this question, but I come from the Galaxy SIII (d2att) and with that device, you could also flash roms from d2tmo as well. You couldn't flash any other SIII roms on the d2att, though, because of a different partition layout and different hardware.

That said, this is also my first CDMA phone, so I'm really not sure how different they are. So can a vs980 rom, for example, be flashed on the ls980 and then flash a modem/radio/etc from the ls980? I noticed that roms like Mahdi are device agnostic and you install a patch for your specific device. Can this be done with any rom? I ask this because I'm tired of seeing so many roms that I would LOVE to use but can't because there's no ls980 version and it frustrates the crap out of me. It often feels like this is the most under-developed version of the G2.

tl;dr can I install a vs980 rom on ls980 then flash a radio/modem/etc?

[Q] PACrom LS980 first boot topic

Hello everyone please forgive me I am currently trying to install the AOSP PACrom for the ZVALS980 and I first wiped dalvik, cache, system and Data not internal storage. Second I did the Factory Reset and then went ahead and installed the Rom, Gapps, and dr87 Kernel and my phone has not booted yet it is has been an hour already with no luck.

LS980 and USB OTG topic

cant find a solid info that the LS980 supports USB OTG. tried google and now that their discussion filter is gone, it make finding answers a bit harder. same thing here, nothing for sure that it works, but it does for other G2's??

anyway, just got this phone last week and also got a new canon t5i dslr. was hoping to be able to pull the sdhc out of the camera and get an OTG reader for my wifes phone( also a ls980) so she can post pics without the need of a pc, whilst out and about.

LS980 on US T-Mobile, MetroPCS topic

Sorry if this has been answered, but couldn't find anything in search.

Disclaimer: I have MetroPCS - so maybe I need to get the IMEI activated on my account? So far Metro won't help with that. So, if that's the case then that answers my question and I'll switch to T-Mo or Solavei. But if that's not the case:

I tried the permanent unlock for the LS980 even though the thread says not for US GSM. I just noticed others in the thread said they got it working. I couldn't.

I tried the CM11 ROM, but that didn't get me signal either (but the ROM works great).

I then tried the T-Mo ROM found in the CM11 thread. That also doesn't work (though the ROM works great). In fact, it tells me (only on this ROM) "Phone Not Allowed MM#6". Suggesting it has a bad ESN, I checked it and it comes out clean. So it has to be something with the ROM.

For those that are using an LS980 on Tmo or Metro - is it because I'm on Metro and I need the IMEI activated on my account? Or does it look like I've just done something wrong? All ROMs work great, btw, so thanks to those that contributed.

Flashed a 4.4 Rom then came back down and flash a Custom 4.2.2 Rom and now my camera just goes black and force closes. I tried clear cache clear data and I tried flashing another camera app nothing is working please help.

hi, guys. several days ago my ls980 got a issue of keep restarting, and then i paid for a guy to fix it. he installed the tot first but it didn't help.so then he used fastboot to boot sth, he told me that s install the partitions.and after that, my phone can't connect to sprint, no phone call no 3g network no message ,even no wifi.no download mode, no recovery. and he just returned my money and said he can't fix it. i don't know what to do with my phone, so i used flashify to boot the partitions that i got from this page http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/9820568-post6.html which is for ls980 v8, and then the phone got to the "fastboot started". i tried a fix tool for that but it didn't work,i cant even get into the download mode. come someone to help me please ! im really hopeless,.thanx.
