[Q] Do we need updated Busybox? topic

Let me get straight to it:

Let's say I install a custom recovery, and flash a ROM after rooting and unlocking Bootloader... Do I NEED to install Busybox, and update its binaries, or is it already done in most ROMS? Sprint ROM threads don't seem to specify this, and I wonder why do people even needed this in the past:

Greets, now that I have finally been able to full-root my XperiaM, I would like to know if BusyBox needs to stay installed in order to "keep" the full root or can it be uninstalled or at least frozen with Titanium Backup. (I am rying to cut down on all the icons in my apps tray).

I know that BusyBox was needed in order for the Anto Kus Tool to do it's magic but now I don't know if it is still needed.... Cheers

[Q] Messed up Busybox topic

Hello,

I am unable to install busybox
it says that "it looks like the installation of busybox was not successful.." and asks to install in some other location.
I tried Xbin and Bin but it could not be installed properly.

All app which need root permission are working fine.

I tried to uninstall and re install ..re install using busybox installer.
Also I re-flash CM 10 beta 6 ( Format /System ) deleted xbin , bin directory and reflashed rom) but nothing works

Its confusing that even after deleting xbin, bin directory formatting /system reflashing CM10 yet busybox is not installing.

PS: Busybox was installed successfully on stock ROM it was for a brief period was installed successfully on CM 10 as well. But when I reflash my rom (due to some reason) and tried to install busybox since then I am having problems


Any help is appreciated.

HTC One Mini - AT&T

Tried installing Busybox from GooglePlay .apk, FAILED.

Now what?

I'm guessing I have root, not sure how to be completely sure.
Unlocked fastboot, flashed recovery w/ orange, installed SU from .zip
Gave BB SU permission.

FAILED.

Now what? I need BB. Tried looking for flashable .zip to flash from orange, but can't find any DL's.
S = ON :/

I have no idea where to begin fixing this issue...
