ROM Manager says CWM 6 is installed - but I boot into Android Recovery topic

So I used ROM manager to install CWM recovery 6.x.x.x on a brand new, fresh stock install. The app says that CWM is installed on my system. Yet when I boot into recovery it takes me to the Android System Recovery 3e. Any ideas what's going on?

i messed up. i had cwm recovery rom running, but i did not install it. then i installed cyanogenmod. now recovery is cyanogenmod, but i want it to be cwm recovery. im stuck i dont know how to do what i want.

when i boot into recovery, i get cyanogenmod. adb and fastboot commands do not seem to be working. like i cant switch to fastboot via adb reboot bootloader. (no laughing please... is that because i flashed the custom rom???)

google play is not installed yet either because adb and fastboot isnt working like it was before i flashed cyanogenmod. i was going to try to download the cwm rom manager again to help me install (permanently) cwm recovery rom.

im so lost and a noobie, so details for replies please. and thank you for the help.

Hey guys!

So i was installing a new rom and i didnt create no backup and i decided to go into recovery and reset everything, therefore deleting the previous rom with it. After i realize i didnt have my new rom saved either for me to install it, Now im stuck with recovery and can't even connect to my computer so i could transfer my new rom.

What are my options to revive my tablet? I really want to play piano on it.

[Q] New Gear User: Can't find installed apps topic

Hi XDA, I'm new to the gear and new to the forum. I just followed a guide on how to sideload apps using ADB. I am able to successfully install these apps, but am not able to see them on the list of apps on my phone or on my Gear when they are paired. If I disconnect the gear from my phone and reset the gear, I'm able to see these apps. Does anybody have any idea?

I also installed NOVA and then changed the default of the home button to always be touchwiz (since I want my Gear to be more like a watch and not a mini tablet), but have no way to go to Nova unless I disconnect and reset my Gear. Any ideas or help? Thanks.

I just accidentally wiped my SD card and my system and now I don't know how to get a rom onto my phone due to the lack of an SD card slot. Can anyone help me get a rom on the internal so I can flash? I have TWRP still but I have no clue how to get a rom to my sd card. Am I screwed? Cause I read a forum that had to have usb-debugging on and I have no system lol. Thank you guys so much

Installed a MOD for a wrong phone topic

Okay, so i was stupid enough not to notice that this is a MOD for S4-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303360

Anyways, i installed the mod and now my notification bar is gone. Further, I keep getting "unfortunately #ffd7d7d7 has stopped working" every other minute. Also, it is taking very long to boot from power off.
Any solutions that don't involve in me losing my data?

I've tried installing the remove notification bar file from that post, but that didn't help

I owned a htc one PN07100 and currently it is rooted using clockworkmod recovery 6.0.3 and i think it is flashed with trickdroid 5.5.1, Android version - 4.1.2, htc sense- 5, and more details about kernal Version, baseband are in the screenshot attached with the thread i want to update to kitkat stock rom and delete the custom rom. Please help me

[Q] Does BusyBox need to stay installed after root? topic

Greets, now that I have finally been able to full-root my XperiaM, I would like to know if BusyBox needs to stay installed in order to "keep" the full root or can it be uninstalled or at least frozen with Titanium Backup. (I am rying to cut down on all the icons in my apps tray).

I know that BusyBox was needed in order for the Anto Kus Tool to do it's magic but now I don't know if it is still needed.... Cheers

Unable to Change Bootloader (accidentally installed wrong bootloader) Galaxy S3 I747 topic

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to install the latest Cyanogen Mod, but when I do, I get an assert error. I figured out through research that this is because the newest versions require an updated bootloader. So I naturally found the latest bootloader for my model and pushed it to my SD card to install it. However, when I try to install it with CWM, I get an error saying "You cannot flash from your current bootloader version. Current version: T999UVDLJA (Status 7).

I must have stupidly installed the wrong bootloader for my device? The strange thing is that my phone is a t-mobile phone, or so it says on the back, but the "about phone" section of my settings tells me it's the model SGH-I747, which is ATT. I bought it used, so I have no idea which it actually is. My question is, how do I change my phone's bootloader to the newer version so I can install the latest CM?

[Q] soft bricked HTC One with no OS installed topic

Hi ALL!

First off I'd like to say thanks for such a forum! Its the first go to place for me for anything android.

Yesterday I did something terrible and very careless from my side. I un-intentionally deleted the /system partition on my HTC One while playing with it and now I am paying for my careless mistake. I have been looking for possible solutions here on this forum and elsewhere on the internet. I did manage to do an *adb sideload push* of a custom ROM and tried to install that but for some reason I cant mount some partitions from my sdcard for example /cache.

I tried exchanging between TWRP (latest) and CWM (touch latest) but no solution so far with the adb sideload method. So I have no OS installed on my phone and the phone sometimes hangs in the HTC Quietly Brilliant display page or sometimes it wouldnt even go in to the Recovery mode but keeps rebooting.

I am clueless at this point, please shade some light on my situation.
In the attached pic you'd find the output from the *fastboot getvar all* command and the phone is S-ON and Unlocked just to mention.
I really appreciate it...

Direct dial - "No app installed" topic

Is anyone having an issues using the Direct Dial widget? Every time I try I get "No app installed."

My phone is stock on Kitkat. I haven't had this issue until the upgrade. I have removed and re-installed the direct dial widgets and powered off the phone. Neither seems to rectify the issue.

Is there something else I can do that I may be missing?

I just did a nandroid backup and i saw this ... i know this is a patch for my service sim card because when i dont have this patch i cant make call , not registered network show up ... then i pay 20$ someone to install me this patch ... can i backup just these patched files ?

I've attempted to flash a newer version of cyanogenmod on my phone (10.1.3 to 11). I'm using TWRP 2.6.1.0
I can not boot because I've wiped the phone (dalvik, system, data, internal storage, cache), and I suspect the ROM I have is corrupted but I can't connect it to my computer and transfer the file via USB because I have no ROM installed and can not boot. I also can't take the SD card (since there's non) and put the file that way.
My phone is Oppo find 5

My root file flashing was successful, but installation of the ROM cm-11-20140204-NIGHTLY has failed. I assume the file was corrupted, but I have no way to find out what it is.
I now realize my mistakes, like wiping the system unnecessarily.

Is there any way to get another file on the device? any other suggestions?

Also, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I was not able to find the right place. I apologize in advance.
