Before installing, please make a nandroid backup of your data and then wipe your phone using Chillybean's Anti-Venom Super Duper Wipe inside of 4EXT Recovery. On January 29, 2014, polymath257 posted an unofficial build of CyanogenMod 11 that he had compiled using Chillybean's instructions. I have now done the same thing, but with a newer build. I am merely a compiler, not a developer. All credit goes to @chillybean, Evervolv, and the CyanogenMod team. I also want to thank @polymath257 for helping me get started.

From my very limited testing, here's what I've been able to determine about what does and does not work.
Verizon CDMA works, but from what I can tell GSM does not (at least on my particular phone and SIM), even with a GSM patch applied. Camera doesn't work. Screenshots work. I am unable to test cellular data because I have it disabled on my plan. Further testing appreciated.

If a stable, fully functional daily driver is what you're looking for, this is NOT the ROM for you! In that case, I currently recommend Chillybean's unofficial CyanogenMod 10.1 with these settings. My build is intended for people who use an Incredible 2 as a secondary device and don't mind if certain things don't work. Indeed, Chilly's CM10.1 will be my daily driver until Kitkat becomes stable and fully functional for our phone, and I do not have the programming skill to make that happen.

[Q] Samsung S3 (cyanogenMod) unlock topic

Hi,

I bought a locked Samsung S3 (At&t). It is rooted with cyanogenMod 10.2 Android 4.3.1. All i was trying to do is unlock it so i can use it with other carrier. So i bought the unlock codes for 30 bucks but later i found out that the unlock codes only work with Stock rom. I am not an expert at this Root, Custom Rom...stuff, but not idiot either i can follow step by step directions if anyone knows how to make this work. I would like to use the custom rom though, so do i have to recover in stock rom, unlock the phone using the code and than install the custom rom again?

i messed up. i had cwm recovery rom running, but i did not install it. then i installed cyanogenmod. now recovery is cyanogenmod, but i want it to be cwm recovery. im stuck i dont know how to do what i want.

when i boot into recovery, i get cyanogenmod. adb and fastboot commands do not seem to be working. like i cant switch to fastboot via adb reboot bootloader. (no laughing please... is that because i flashed the custom rom???)

google play is not installed yet either because adb and fastboot isnt working like it was before i flashed cyanogenmod. i was going to try to download the cwm rom manager again to help me install (permanently) cwm recovery rom.

im so lost and a noobie, so details for replies please. and thank you for the help.

so, i loaded cwm recovery rom. I do not know if i replaced my stock recovery rom. then i flashed cyanogenmod. all seems good, but i have a question. when i boot into recovery now (via three finger salute), what should or do i want to see? stock recovery, cwm recovery, or cyanogenmod? thanks in advance for the help.

if im not seeing the correct recovery rom i want/should to see, i will have a follow up question on fixing the issue.

Hello,
I have a small problem with all roms CyanogenMod. When using time-lapse photo applications such as Zeitgeist or Overlay Camera (unfortunately for me the best) resolution is only 1024x768 px photos. In stock roms is it a full 5 mpx.
Any solutions? Or an idea for an alternative app?

GALAXY S3 Cyanogenmod 11 Issue topic

I am running the latest nightly of CM11 on my d2att. It is pretty good except for the front facing camera has a squished aspect ratio in many apps, namely snapchat. It isn't just this nightly, it's every version of CM11. Any known quick fixes? This ROM is perfect, except I can't take selfies 😉 Thanks for any help.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 11 battery issues topic

Since i switched to Maclaw's CM 11 about a month ago and i had no trouble with the phone untill i updated to version 3/8 and the versions after that..the battery gets drained fast even when the phone is always underclocked to 200 MHz which never made an issue for me in terms of being a bit slow.
It used to drop just 1% every 15 min with heavy data use..a lot of the time it even lasted more than that! Now drops 1% every 5 min or less with the same heavy data use!!!

What went wrong?

Hi all,

Has anyone found a solution for the Camera bug with Cyanogenmod 10.2? I've been doing some research lately and haven't found a solution. I may have missed something or just searched for the wrong things. Got my university ball tomorrow and want to be able to depend on my phones camera.

Usually the problem is that the Camera is unavailable when needed for all the apps connected to it e.g. WhatsApp/Instagram/SnapChat and the camera app.

How to install drivers with Cyanogenmod 10 for A13 topic

I recently flashed my tablet with cyanogenmod 10 and it loads successfully but after installing it I flashed g-apps after that I tried to install the drivers but it was always aborted and nothing I can do but reboot so I reboot it, I can still play with my tablet that I install with cm10 without its touch because I have a wireless mouse then again I can't reboot into recovery mod even trying rom manager but still didn't work and I even try ADB (Idk how ADB works) so what now how to install drivers in cyanogenmod 10 I still have the drivers files.. Pls tell me what to do! By the way I'm a NOOB!!

I installed the 03/05 version for testing. I find that the bugs are still there:

01. Low Incoming Volume
02. Wifi fails to connect
03. GPS does not lock
04. Camera: Image quality not as good as of stock JB
05. Youtube (latest version) Video gets pixelated

the developers do not acknowledge the the issue of low volume though.

Hello,

I wanted to have newer android and have rooted and flashed HTC Amaze with Hasoons toolkit using TWRP recovery system. After flashing Cyanogenmod 10 ROM through ADB Sideload and flashing Cyanogenmod 10 ROM kernel (boot.img file which was included in the zipped folder) manually with Hasoons toolkit, the phone started to boot normally, load welcome screen, but after several seconds it freezes and then restarts. Can you please help what can be the cause of this problem and how can I repair? The phone is rooted and bootloader unlocked, but its still S-ON.

Before installing the Cyanogenmod I have tried to flash other ROMs, but on all of them after flashing kernel, the phone was freezing on booting mode and then just restarting continuously.

I hope there should be some way out and the phone is not bricked. If something I have backed up the data and will try to restore, but would prefer to repair Cyanogenmod ROM.

On my wildfire A3333 I installed the Mini Cyanogenmod 9 v1 (26 July 2013) by akulgupta.
Besides the gps everything is working fine.

Can anyone help me on how to get gps working?

It indicates that it is turned on but there is no icon in the status bar and with google maps i cannot locate my position and use this for navigation :d'oh:

Does changing over CyanogenMod on a 2012 Nexus 7 Wifi 32GB, fix the extreme bad performance?

Or is it time to junk it?
There is 25+ GB free on the device, ran the memory cleanup apps, still junk. Any of the apps I try and use random freeze for 5+ seconds at a time, it is slower than my nexus 4 by far. The nexus 4 runs circles around the nexus 7.

Will installing cyanogenmod fix this?

Hi XDA friends,

I installed on my Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 cyanogenmod 11 kitkat 4.4.2.
That is very nice and I really like it but it has a bug.
When I am calling and I put it on my ear the screen shut down, this is correct. But when I move the phone out of my ear to hang out or to find an information in my cell, this does not wake up. I was reading many internet pages about this and I think this is a proximity sensor problem.
Do you have any advice or apk to solve this problem??
