[Q] CWM, Cyanogenmod, & booting into Recovery topic

so, i loaded cwm recovery rom. I do not know if i replaced my stock recovery rom. then i flashed cyanogenmod. all seems good, but i have a question. when i boot into recovery now (via three finger salute), what should or do i want to see? stock recovery, cwm recovery, or cyanogenmod? thanks in advance for the help.

if im not seeing the correct recovery rom i want/should to see, i will have a follow up question on fixing the issue.

tried to update it, but when the middle it was extinguished the device and when I tried to turn it on again it was not respond only shows a green light repeatedly, but the screen remains black and when I'm trying to connected it to computer ,it only connect by flash boot. i tried to connected it by fast boot or PC Companion but no thing happened

Unbrick Xperia Z - Not charging or Booting topic

Hey everyone, first of all I've been struggling with the Xperia Z C6602 for long time now and no one could fix it, i kept on playing around until i got it booting up again, here are the symptoms and the solution, btw my device is stock, unrooted and the bootloader is locked

-Symptoms
First it started by showing weird battery levels and battery draining then its totally dead as its not charging

*Device not booting up, only showing Sony logo then turns itself off
*Device not charging
*When ever i try to use Flashtool in Flashmode the process gets interrupted and fails because the device restarts by itself
*Using SUS doesn't help because the device keeps on rebooting by itself
*The only stable state of the device is in Fastboot mode

-Solution
This solution gets the device working again BUT i still have the charging bug as i haven't tried other firmwares that i wish they have the bug fix

Required tools and files:

1- A Firmware in FTF format which can be found on the following link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...0-101-t2639943)
2- Flashtool which can be found on the following link (http://www.flashtool.net/index.php)
3- Winrar or any archive decompressing tool

Procedures:

1- Get a charge for your device by keeping it plugged into the DC charger (Wall Charger) and pressing Volume Up + Power while connecting until the device vibrates (Keep it plugged in for a couple of hours even if the device keeps on rebooting)
2- Open the downloaded FTF file with Winrar and extract all the files into a folder of your choice on your computer
3- Execute Flashtool by going to its default installation folder (C:\Flashtool\) and double clicking on FlashTool.exe (Start it up as an administrator)
4- Now after having the device plugged into a power source for a couple of hours you can take it off and make sure its shutdown completely, Keep on pressing the "Volume UP" button while connecting the device to your computer until you see the LED on the top right of the device lighting in "Blue" then the Flashtool Status Box should indicate that a device has been connected in Fastboot mode
5- Click on the "Thunder" icon on the top left of the window just under the File menu and choose Fastboot mode
6- A Window will open with multiple Buttons, Click on the "Select System to Flash" button and browse your computer to locate the files that were extracted from the FTF file and choose the file named "system.sin"
7- Keep an eye on the Status Text Box on the main window of the application to check if the process went smoothly or its showing an error, it should go smoothly after that you will have to click on the "Thunder" button again and choose Fastboot mode
8- Click on the button named "Select kernel to HotBoot" and navigate your files to select the "kernel.sin" file from the same folder as "system.sin"
9- The device will reboot and the main window of Flashtool will indicate that a device has been disconnected and then connected again in "FlashMode" this time, This time it won't reboot by itself and it will remain in Flashmode as long as its connected to the PC
10- Now click on the "Thunder" button on the top left again and this time choose "FlashMode", make sure you have the FTF file or the desired firmware in the firmwares folder of Flashtool which is "C:\Flashtool\Firmwares", The desired firmware will be listed in the firmware list, Select it and click on "Flash" button on the bottom right
11- Keep watching the status text box to make sure everything is going on smoothly, When it indicates that flashing is done please disconnect your phone and start it up normally

Now you should have your device alive again, If some one is aware of a specific firmware build that has the battery bug fixed please post it here, The firmware on my device now is .101 which was updated through OTA update once i booted up again but the bug persists

Updated n900t to 4.4.2 then rooted the device. Now im trying to get flash twrp recovery and it won't take. I try boot into recovery and it gets stuck in a boot loop and at the top of the screen it says seandroid is not enforcing and set waranty bit somthing along those lines. Im almost home free to cm 11 town can any one help thanks

In all my previous posts requesting help of why my phone wont boot 4.4.2 ive never gotten a clear answer or any troubleshooting steps.
when i flash 4.4.2 with any recovery it goes to rom logo and doesnt boot past that. the only rom ive been successful with flashing is omni rom. whats the difrence between omni rom and any other regular 4.4.2 rom/
all i want to do is use carbon kk i had 4.4.2 working once before i flashed 4.3 and the wifi fix and after i flashed the wifi fix my phone stopped booting into 4.4.2 ever since ive been trying to get a odin wifi fix removal for my phone. i want to see if that will fix it but no one will help

Guys I am in serious trouble. While restoring EFS. After reboot My phone not booting up, I tried to hard reset but no luck, I tried to put into download mode but it is not booting. Just dead black screen.

One not booting up topic

I just flashed miui v5 rom and then gapps but the phone is not booting up.its just automatically enters into recovery.i am on 4.3 sense firmware s-off and the rom is 4.2.2 based....is thats the prob???

Im using Pound Rom cm11 4.2.2 and stock cm kernel.

but I'm running into this problem:

often when i reboot the rom doesn't boot anymore.

it just gets stuck on the samsung logo with the yellow triangle.

only restoring a nandroid will recover the phone.

but its really annoying i need to restore a nandroid every 2 or 3 reboots.

is this a ROM specific problem, or whats going on?

but the device bootloop he try to reboot into recovery but does not work, only download mode works with the message (booting recovery ....)
he try every rom available
he trying any recovery
but this is wrong, you have an idea about the error?

[Q] TWRP not booting topic

I used Goo to update TWRP (I think to 2.6.1) and now the phone won't boot to recovery. It just comes back to the system every time. Tried booting to recovery from Goo, tried power on/vol down and selecting recovery, it always just goes back to the home screen. Not sure what to do next...

just need a bit of help/advice.
I have twrp recovey installed and wanted to try cm 11. Tried to flash it (thought I had nandroid backup but looks like I havent). The flash didnt work and now when the tablet boots up it goes into recovery.
I have the cm flash files on sd card. I tried getting into fsstboot but it doesnt give me usb option and doesnt seem to connect.

what I thought of doing is taking out microsd csrd putting cromi on it as I was using it before and flashing it with twrp.

Any help much appreciated.

I had stock room+root and got massage about firmware update, I dl it and try to update. My device rebooted and show for few second: secure booting error cause: device unlock!, so boot success! And than entering to the twrp (v2.6.3.0). Now everytime when I tring to power on my g pad happen the same.
Any idea how to repair it? Im stuck. I tryied reinstal rom and done full wipe, but nothink changed.

i am having a problem with my brother's galaxy y. when i press the end button, i get the galaxy y s5360 screen, but the screen goes blank after that. i am not able to enter the recovery mode or download mode. tried every method except usb jig.
about the phone: non rooted samsung galaxy y.


does anyone have any idea how to fix this? also, what exactly has happened to the phone??

1) What is needed to boot an alternative OS on our phones, is the bootloader capable of running a OS from sd card or should I rewrite android?

2) Are there any closed source components that might be a problem in the adaptation of mer/sailsfih for our phone?

[Q] Device bricked - Not booting after attempt at downgrading topic

After upgrading to 4.4 beanstalk tried to downgrade by installing FTF of 4.3 ROM. Ever since all I can do is get into FlashMode and FastBoot (using Flashtool), and am able to install FTFs and fastboot boot.img, but the device never turns on (and doesn't vibrate when I press the power button). Tried unlocking, re-locking, running Sony's Update (but it says the software is incompatible so it won't upgrade), different FTFs and BOOT.IMGs.

All I want is to get back to a locked, official ROM.

hi guys im totally new with G2,im with sony's device earlier.i have installed twrp recovery but the only way to run it is i have to install another apps like quick boot to run to recovery mode.when i was on sony's device i just simply press vol up button when sony's logo comes.another methods is simply tap sony's logo.but on LG G2 i can't do that.anyone know how to run to TWRP recovery when restarting the phone.this is really matter when we got stuck an bootloop or something went wrong and we need force restart and go to recovery.please help me
