CM 10.2 "stable" build crashing topic

I love Cyanogenmod, very much so. I downloaded the stable 10.1 build for my phone and it was mostly rock solid. When 10.2.1 come around I was pumped. I downloaded it and immediately encountered force closes out the bum. I switched back and a month later tried again. It was a slightly better experience as I realized I forgot to flash the 4.3 Gapps with my original attempt, but force closes cluttered my screen daily. I want to be able to upgrade, but the ROM just seems completely unstable for my phone. Has anyone experienced these things on their phone? Has anyone fixed these problems? Can anyone recommend the most stable and most up-to-date ROM even though stable and up-to-date rarely go hand in hand.

4G/LTE Problem with CM 10.2 topic

Hoping to find some help here. I have searched the web and no definitive answer. I was running CM 10.1.3 on my Razr Maxx for a long while. Just flashed to CM 10.2 with Android 4.3. Since flashing, I no longer get a 4g icon for my signal, I get LTE. In addiiton, the LTE signal fades in and out and most times the bars are white which I have found out means I'm not synced with Google servers. I have played with the APN options to no avail. Is anyone familiar with this problem? Is there a fix? Thanks for any help you can provide.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 10.2 Camera Bug topic

Hi all,

Has anyone found a solution for the Camera bug with Cyanogenmod 10.2? I've been doing some research lately and haven't found a solution. I may have missed something or just searched for the wrong things. Got my university ball tomorrow and want to be able to depend on my phones camera.

Usually the problem is that the Camera is unavailable when needed for all the apps connected to it e.g. WhatsApp/Instagram/SnapChat and the camera app.

CM 10.2 GPS issues topic

After flashing the latest stable release of CM (and somehow screwing up my backups, no going back now... :| ) I was glad to have no issues with it, until a few weeks later when I traveled to a different town and wanted to use my GPS.
Doesn't work. Ever. Will sometimes ALMOST find me, but never quite makes it.
Other symptoms:
-Appears to freeze for extended periods of time on certain spots before updating, despite my having driven miles outside of their 'search sphere'.
-Sometimes will show that it's searching for me miles away from where I actually am, closer to where I was when the GPS was turned on perhaps, and yet other times appearing to be completely arbitrary random locations miles away from where I ever was in the first place.


I hoped to find an easy answer to this, and indeed lifehacker had a page posted. One of their suggestions was flashing a new Radio. The other options didn't do much of anything.
I can't seem to find anybody else with this issue. Moreso, I haven't even been able to find a radio in the first place. Either I suck at searching, or you people post too often about FM radio's, which are just throwing my searches off (also, the -tag search feature does not seem to work here).

I give, what do you guys suggest.

[Q] downgrading to cyanogenmod 10.2 topic

hey guys,

i recently rooted my galaxy s3 i747 and installed cm11 on it. the whole process was done automatically using one of those cm installers. however, i recently learned that cm11 is not stable yet. so i want to downgrade to 10.2 which is the most recent stable cm.
i did try that, using manual methods, such as flashing it via recovery, however a picture of a dead android with a red warning triangle popped up saying it couldn't be done.
my question is, why would this happen? i know official android doesn't allow downgrade, but rooted ones should allow installation of any custom rom no matter which verison, right?
another question, how do i downgrade to 10.2, or install any other stable custom rom? i am afraid that the phone might become bricked due to my inexperience, but i want stability in my phone.
also, if my phone is indeed hard bricked, would it be possible to get it fixed under 0?

P.S. i am quite new to xda, so sorry if i posted this in the wrong area.

I am running CM 10.2 on my VZW S4. I have noticed though that even with the stock chargers and cables it only charges at 800ma. Is this normal? I thought it could charge much faster than that. Thanks.

[Q] CM 10.2 and Nook HD vs. Nook Color topic

Hello,

I have a Nook Color and a Nook HD both running CM 10.2.1 (installed on internal storage). I have two questions:

1. The Nook Color's settings menu looks/functions differently from the Nook HDs The HD has a sort of scrolling menu on the left that, when an option is selected, opens more details on the right part of the screen. The Nook Color's setting menu does not split left and right. It only displays the main menu items and selecting an option from there takes you to that specific menu category. Is this by design, or is there a setting on the HD that I have checked that isn't selected on the Color?

2. The Nook Color has the option, from the Apps Information setting, to move apps to SD. However, the Nook HD does not. Is this a device difference, or a software setting that can be changed? (Ideally, I would like to be able to move apps from internal storage to external storage on the Nook HD).

One S CM 10.2 - ADB Device not found topic

Hello xda, it's me again (posting very much lately with my problems...)

I flashed the CM 10.2 ROM again on my One S and tried to get the ADB working, but it somehow doesn't work. I tried it on my 2 PCs, my laptop and the one that I'm normally using for Android...ish stuff, but both can not find my phone. "error: device not found" plops always up and I don't really know why, I mean, on both PC's I used the ADB with the One S before and I have all the drivers installed. I'm just really confused atm...

Finally, on 10.2, I've been getting an issue saying "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" anytime I enable the sprint tower and disable airplane mode. I've been using this phone as my portable tablet, and I have not activated it but I'm planning on joining Ringplus in the future. Anyone know why?

Edit: Some apps require you to have your sprint tower connected, like Madden 25. Also, I was trying to update my PRL for ringplus, but it looks like I need to flash my phone back to stock huh?

I want to update my S3 Mini from stock rom to cyanogen mod. 
I need a STABLE, not so power hungry release.
 Main use is phone, navigation, photo and internet.

Which version, 10.2 or 11, and which release should I use?

I follow the releases of the macaw studio and there comments for a while. Bu I can’t judge how mature the releases are and what potential Issues from 
e.g.. “switching from STE blobs to sources [part #2]” and “[testing] huge microphone quality improvements” arise.

I installed CM 10.2 yesterday on my DNA and the built in tethering app is working great.. but its buried in the menus. I would really like to have it available on the pull down screen or quick menu. Is this available stock or would I need an apk customization?

Or is this available in ViperDNA or CM 11 ?

[Q] Can I remove radio .zip from Cyanogenmod 10.2? topic

So I flashed my HTC Droid DNA to Page Plus Cellular. That worked out all fine and dandy, however, the guy I paid to do this service for me warned me that if I flash a custom ROM it would break the radio flash. I had actually pre-flashed Cyanogenmod prior to flashing PPC, but he had me restore stock Andriod because, evidently, Cyanogenmods 10 and 11 do not include DIAG mode. So, my quesion is, IF I remove whatever .zip from the Cyanogenmod package that contains radio information, AND THEN flash Cyanogenmod using TWRP, would this break my carrier flash to PPC??? Thanks in advance for any help.

[Q] Can't boot phone after upgrade - CyanogenMod 10.2 Stable topic

Hey guys,
So the problem I'm experiencing is that my HTC One X is stuck in a boot loop after I applied an update to CyanogenMod 10.2 Stable that I saw in the settings menu. Dumb mistake.

I've tried reading up on the issue but I'm posting here because I want to make sure I don't brick the phone. I bought the phone second hand, already rooted and flashed, so my knowledge on this stuff is extremely limited.

So here's some info:
1. I can access a boot menu when I hold the power and volume down button.
2. From there I can access ClockworkMod Recovery v5.8.4.0
3. I've tried restoring the phone
4. I found and applied the 2 zips that are already in the sd card. The old one: CM 10.1 and CM 10.2. - Both of them get stuck in boot.
5. I've downloaded Fastboot and ADB to my computer.
6. I tried to follow the instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2617301. Fastboot can't find my device (fastboot getvar cid -> waiting for device). I should mention that I mounted /sdcard and also tried mounting 'USB storage' but that didn't seem to do anything.

Since the version of the 01.01.2014 it seems possible to swap external and internal SD Card in the "advanced settings"
Unfortunatly, I can't find where is it....
If someone can help by giving the full path to access to this option because I find a copy screen in the thread of the ROM, but it doesn't help me (I use French translation of the Rom)

I'm looking for newer versions of the 10.2 builds than the one from October last year.
I found some at quarx2k.ru in folder roms/defy-cm10.2 They are from just a few days ago.
But are they really valid updates or just some automatic builds that are no different than the old ones?
