Cracked Z1 Screen topic

My girlfriend's Z1 got damaged and the screen is in a mess. Its not even working to touch etc.

Anyone have information where I can send the phone in the US to get it serviced and how much it will cost? Or any other advice? I dont want to lose the waterproof if its fixed.

I cracked my Nexus 4 screen and because of the pattern lock, I cannot unlock the phone to access the contents via usb/pc.

Is there any possible way to access the data on the phone from my computer in this scenerio? I read a few thread and didn't see any solutions.


Also, what are your thoughts on the ebay screen/digitizer replacements from china for around ? Seems like a much better deal than having someone install it for 0.

Note 2 cracked screen. topic

My friend gave me a note 2 and it has a cracked screen. I was wondering if i should replace the screen+digitizer or just the digi. The lcd still works and so does the digitizer but a cracked screen just annoys me.

Cracked screen by setting it face down on the desk topic

I just looked at my phone a few minutes ago and saw that the bottom part of my screen had one crack going from left to right. It's below the soft keys, so it's not a big deal unless it spreads, which it probably will with any drop at all. It was fine this morning. I must have set it face down on the desk and something hard and small was between the desk and my phone because there is a pen-head sized spot right along the crack. Just sucks to see after all this time of not dropping it, it cracks when I set it down on something.

Any advice? Where can I get the cheapest replacement screen? Should I just sell it and buy another? Wait for a new phone that's coming out soon?

Cracked Screen topic

My phone is beyond warranty...water damaged and rooted so I'm doing this myself. Any thoughts on where to get the most reliable screen? I was looking around on Amazon for a few and there's various options. Which is the best one to go with? The digitizer works fine. Phone's been damaged since the holidays and works fine minus the crack.

[Q] LCD screen cracked, need to run backup or extract /data from rooted phone topic

My S4 LCD screen cracked and went dead. I have root access and can adb in see it as an adb device. I also have titanium backup as an app but I hadn't run a backup in a while. I want to be able to either run a titanium backup from adb and pull the backup to a PC (to do so right now requires unlocking screen which i can't do), or extract the /data directory to a PC. I've already pulled the SIM card and put it in a new phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have some data in certain apps that I want to recover badly.

[Q] Nook Simple Touch cracked lcd screen topic

I've accidentally cracked my NOOK ST (without glowlight) lcd screen recently. As I was looking for a new lcd on eBay I've got an idea to make my NOOK a glowlight. Would it be possible if I just bought myself a NOOK ST with glowlight lcd screen and simply replace my cracked one with it? I don't expect it to be that easy, but maybe there's a chance anyway? I really like my NOOK ST and wouldn't want any other e-reader.

[Q] partially cracked screen. what to fix ? topic

i dropped my phone the other night and it cracked. its cracked on the botton right where the recents button is and i cant use that are of the screen (basically is unresponsive) but the rest of the screen works absolutely fine and i just rotate the screen if i need to access something in that are that i cant access. Was wondering what i need to replace to fix it ?

will also attach pictures to show what are exactly is affected.

I am presuming I'm hosed, and replacing the glass will not get me going, given that not only is the screen cracked, but no response to touch.

Is that the case?
