[Q] Will flashing AT&T One to T-Mobile ROM bring full functionality? topic

Hi all! First post here, I've read through pages and pages of forum posts looking for an answer but haven't found one so I thought I would ask a quick question.

I have an AT&T One that I recently unlocked, I then left AT&T for T-Mobile and am having issues with MMS sending/receiving and Mobile Hot spot. Everything else is functionality. T-Mobile says they can't help, HTC says they can't help.

As a result I was thinking I flashing it with a T-Mobile ROM.

Do you think it will help?

I wanted to confirm before I start digging more into how to flash it.

Thanks in advance,
Paulgyro

[Q] Missing Functionality in CM topic

My N7000 was becoming unusably slow so on a recommendation elsewhere, I installed CM. I was quite surprised at how basic some of the apps are & now have some specific issues.

I have lost the ability to scale text size in both messaging & email apps. Text size can be altered globally but making it big enough to read without glasses in text messages makes it unusable in general use. I've found an alternative messaging app but not email.

Colours in the calendar app are all rendered so dark as to be indistinguishable from each other. I can't find any options to change this like there was in the stock ROM.

So my question is can I somehow install the Samsung versions of these apps or do I have to trawl the Play store looking for alternatives? Or better still, is there a ROM that retains these features?

Hopefully this won't fall foul of the Best ROM rule!

5 Apps to add functionality to the Note 10.1 2014 topic

Video Link: http://youtu.be/Vf-Hnuhwhnc

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition does a lot of things really well; Here are five apps that make it a better, more functional device;

1. GMD GestureControl: Definitely worth .99, makes the tablet way more user friendly, and gives you a more intuitive way to control your Note.

2.Dsploit: Gives you the ability to know more about your network, and do some pretty specific network admin stuff like deny certain people service, reroute everyone's internet traffic that is connected to your router to a site of your choosing, stuff like that. Check it out for yourself, but be aware that it is functional and does have features that may be legally and morally objectionable. (not a big deal, just needs to be said).

3. Clash of Clans: Free, and makes me happy:) I know, it doesn't add functionality, but I put it in the video anyway. (and if you remove this, you still get your 5 apps that add functionality!)

4. XBMC: its the Xbox Media Center app, coupled with Navi-X lets you watch pretty much any movie out there, and even some that have yet to come out....

5. Wifi Analyzer: My most favorite app, because I'm always setting up someone's WiFi. It gives you a more fine tuned view of the surrounding wifi environment. It also lets you connect to wifi access points through the app (well, you can after you download another little free piece of the app).

6. Pry-Fi: free, but gives you a chance to donate. Changes your MAC address, but needs root; It actually works, however I've found that it only works with DutchDanny's custom BinDroid kernel (v003 is what I have it running on), at least on this tablet. It also changes your broadcast MAC address when your not on a network, and withholds your known SSID list from being broadcast. Pretty useful, eh, I think it is:)

ps: my cat is always in my business, so I just let him do what he wants to do; that's why his foot is in the picture:)

Bluetooth Mouse functionality questions topic

For those of you with the 2014 edition who have used a bluetooth mouse, what does the right click do?

Hey all,
I posted the following question on another thread about a specific bluetooth mouse, and didn't get a response so I figured I'd give it another try with a general post.

I use my samsung devices (Galaxy S1, Tab 10 v1, Note 10 2012 edition, and lately an S4) for connecting to work using the citrix thin client. (In addition to all the other things that make the samsung devices great)

One of the problems I've had since samsung moved to jellybean and beyond is the mouse support. Ice cream and prior, when using a bt mouse, the right click seemed to be ignored by the os, or didn't do anything different than the left click unless you were in a app that supported it. Specifically, passing on a right click command in remote desktop to the session.

After JB, the right click on a mouse seems to have been mapped at the OS level to the 'back' function. This makes using a samsung android device as my thin terminal very difficult, as you still need right click on a lot of standard desktop apps. When I'm connected to my remote desktop, and use the right-click the applications prompts to exit. I don't think the right click ever even gets passed along.

(If you want to know irony, pre JB the mouse worked fine, but CTRL and ALT keypresses were ignored by the Os. try going without easy cut and paste for a day when you work with spreadsheets a lot. )

Anyway, my question is, for those of you with the 2014 edition who have used a bluetooth mouse, what does the right click do?

I'm sending in my 2012 edition to amazon for a trade in, and I'm seriously thinking about getting the 2014 10 or the new 12.2 monster, but if the 12.2 is going to be k, I might as well go with a surface pro device for now.

If you're still reading, thanks, I know I've gone on a bit. I've struggled with this issue for a while and it makes it very difficult for me to travel lightly. I can use my android devices in a pinch, but man does it drive me nuts when I need to right click on something and can't Try it sometime. You'll throw your mouse across the godderned room. If you happen to know of any other workarounds for this issue, feel free to make my day.

Unique functionality does LG add to the LG G Flex topic

Hi LG G Flex owners.
I like the double tap on the screen and how thin the the edges are by moving buttons to the back.
Do you see any power apps to take advantage of the screen size or other exclusive functionality to LGm:laugh:D
