Hello Everyone Yesterday we got the FTF file for the official Xperia M 4.3 Update, But we were disappointed that none of the root methods worked on our device so I have Made this guide to root Xperia M successfully.

Requirements:
1.Download the Zip from this link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7r...p=docslist_api
2.Download The kernel with CWM from this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/wwhyczfok5kr0jg/4.3-boot.img
3.Unlocked Bootloader.
4.Pc with flash tool installed.

Steps:
1.First turn on your pc then start flashtool then turn off your phone, start the phone in fastboot mode by holding the volume up button and then attaching the usb cable to it, then click on the thunder icon then select fastboot and click ok.select the flash a kernel option, select file extension as .img from the dropdown menu then select the 4.3-boot.img that you have downloaded and click open.
2.Boot up your phone normally.Then move the UPDATE-ROOT-4.3 that you have downloaded to your External SD card as the recovery is not detecting the Internal storage.
3.Power off your phone then boot into recovery mode mount system and data then flash the UPDATE-ROOT-4.3.zip and reboot to system.Now you have successfully rooted your device.

[Q] Will flashing AT&T One to T-Mobile ROM bring full functionality? topic

Hi all! First post here, I've read through pages and pages of forum posts looking for an answer but haven't found one so I thought I would ask a quick question.

I have an AT&T One that I recently unlocked, I then left AT&T for T-Mobile and am having issues with MMS sending/receiving and Mobile Hot spot. Everything else is functionality. T-Mobile says they can't help, HTC says they can't help.

As a result I was thinking I flashing it with a T-Mobile ROM.

Do you think it will help?

I wanted to confirm before I start digging more into how to flash it.

Internal memory almost full, no idea why topic

Hi, I have a s3 international version, rooted and cm11 on it. My internal memory is almost full and I can't seem to move apps to external sd card. Also, a few months ago I had 5 gigs of space left, now 900mb... Did a complete whipe and started all over again, but still 900mb free memory. Is there a way I can delete everything, maybe go back to stock an start all over?

Hello my sis recently purchased an sprint iPhone 5s about a week ago from eBay it arrived with no Sim and I didn't think that was a problem as sprint is CDMA well trying to activate it was a different story talked to sprint after self activating wouldn't work and found out it did require a Sim so got transferred to sprint international and got to order a free Sim from them it arrived and activation didn't work talked to support and guy said I was sent an android varrarent of the Sim after he checked the numbers and I would have to reorder an iPhone compatible one they gave me free overnight ship and it came and activated fine my question is tho

Would it be possible to activate cheap Chinese phones like the goophone or there new s5Clones/generic android sim phones on sprint. I ask this question because the only Google results I could find were from like 2008 and older So not to relevant today and BTW I still don't like iPhone over priced fads that do half as much as a android

Question - get FULL ADB Root access, how to? topic

I need to get adb root to use such firmware like QtADB or Android Commander and others.

And I want to keep stock kernel in my device (do not want to flash other customized boots).

So I`ve flashed TWRP, got system root with SuperSu, installed BusyBox.
In my stock boot.img I`ve edit default.prop to set:
ro.secure=0
ro.adb.secure=0
ro.debuggable=1
replaced adbd to (a few different, one - from ADBInsecure.apk) patched (one of them works fine on my other phone)

and still have no success...
I`ve system root and can use such programs like RootExplorer and so on... when I type in cmd line "adb root" - it tells me - already run as root
but when I type "adb shell" I get $ instead of #.
if I type "su" after $ - I got #

- it means - there`s no adb root. and my QtADB CWM edition - can`t work properly - it has no acces to system or data folders.

so I need some push to right way :) - because it`s so lazzy to clean system folder from garbage with rootexplorer... you understand me...

I didn't have this problem on stock 4.3, but since I unlock my bootloader and now using Doomlord's Advance Stock kernel, reflash my ROM, RAM keeps building up after sometimes of using the phone, play some games.

Is it a kernel problem or somethings else? :(

Is there a way to have a widget that is essentially the entire app, condensed into a widget size? Similar to the way PA's Halo window works, but just as a widget on a homescreen?
I'm aware of XHaloWindow for Xposed, but it doesn't have any widget features. Just wondering if there's a way to do this via Xposed, or something like that.

This would be useful, for example, to have the entire Google Now app as a widget, similar to the Google Experience Launcher.

I have this situation which I think resulted from the battery dying during the 4.4.2 update - Doh I know, but thought I had enough juice to complete the update.

I've had the Galaxy S3 for over an year, and actually I'm on CM11. The phone started to give me the "memory full" alert, but if I go into the settings/memory tab, it shows me that only two thirds of the memory are used. It doesn't let me install apps, and I don't know what to do. Picture related, the memory tab.
Have anyone had the same problem? And if yes, how did you manage to recover from it?

[Q] S3 device memory full, but can't find the files? topic

I've been searching for days now, I can't find any mention of the same problem. So I finally thought I should just ask here...

Both my wife and I have an S3 i9300. Mine is 15 months old, my wife has had her S3 for only three months now. Devices are not rooted. On my previous Galaxy S phone I have mucked about a lot with custom ROMs. but this phone works so well I've not found it necessary to interfere.

For some time now, the Device Memory of her phone has been almost completely filled up.

Out of 11.5 Gb she has 600 Mb left (my older phone still had 6.3 Gb). So there's over 10 Gb of stuff on her phone. In Android 4.3 (previous, 4.2.1(?) wouldn't even calculate it) the Storage tab told us there was almost 10Gb of photos and videos on the phone as can be seen in the attached photo.

In the Gallery it showed a 1000 picasa pictures. So we threw those out of Picasa on the PC and afterwards closed the sync options on the phone. Then we stopped the gallery, emptied the cache and deleted the data. Now the Picasa pictures are no longer in the Gallery, there's about 60 pics left in there, Can't be more than 200 Mb. But according to the Storage tab there's still 10 Gb of photo's on the phone! Not only is this phone slower than mine, it sometimes even crashes. We rebooted the phone a number of times.

I can't find those files! They're not in either SDcard, not in the level up from there marked "/" in the file manager. As the phone is not rooted and my wife doesn't want it mucked about with, I can't go further than that.


My phone is a year older and I take way more photo's than her and I have 120Mb of 'em on my phone. Other sections of the memory like the System Memory are comparable to mine in size, or way smaller, like she has less than half the number of apps I have.


My wife is an MD, she uses the phone often for patient calls. She is very dependent on it. So she doesn't want me to muck about with it. Doesn't want it rooted. Also she doesn't look forward to doing a factory reset and reinstalling the lot. Especially redoing the homescreens. She has a lot of them, which seems to work for her, but is timecomsuming to redecorate. Then there's re-freezing the apps Google and Samsung seem to deem necessary to have on there that we don't use. Without option to remove. And it might not even work, since factory reset usually leaves your personal stuff (music, documents, photo's, etc) alone.

Does anyone know how to find/remove these files?

Samsung S3 with latest firmware etc, drive link full mirroring app installed

Car Head Unit is JVC KW NSX 1

Mirrorlink feature working fine with full mirroring/app mode, audio streams fine. videos and app picture is very laggy, low frames per second, tv apps work but very low fps also.

Ive even installed the screen mirroring patch from google play/samsung but when I run it patch is not required

any ideas guys?
