Cannot get root after unlocking and installing custom recovery!!! topic

I have tried every toolkit and manually pushing it and flashing it from recovery and no go. With TWRP it says failed. with CWM it says it installed. But when I reboot and try and run a app that requires root, it says that I do not have root.

Stock Tmo 4.4.2 ROM, S-On, Unlocked

What am I doing wrong?
