Chrome and Gmail crashing topic

So I have a blacked out chrome and Gmail installed and they both worked fine up till today. They won't open and just keep crashing. I flashed rom again twice after doing factory reset and wiping internal memory. After I rebooted the first thing I did was install blacked out chrome before anything else and it still crashed. If I install from market they work fine. I tried to clear data in app and it would still crash. I know enough about roms and flashing and how to do everything else with a tablet, so I'm not sure what the problem can be. Has anyone else have this happen to them? I also have both apps on s4 and they work fine. I just redid my whole tablet and the blackout ones just won't work. Does anyone have any ideas why they would crash now? Thanks
I was reading something that Google was changing some stuff around so the government can't spy on your stuff. Do you think they could have changed something on there servers so because I have modded ones maybe like the server knows so that's why they keep crashing?

this has been going on for a while now, but on some websites, especially xda, when I go into a thread the very first post as well as some other posts look jumbled together. is there any way to fix this? it's so annoying cuz I have to wait like 3 years for it to go to normal

I am aware of google sync and I am also aware that it deletes data when there is conflicts or bad connections thus chrome sync is not an option



Android OS 4.1.2

zeroth question: is this the appropriate board for this? If not can an admin move this question to a more apropriate board.
First question what can I do to root my tablet while keeping the data intact.
Next question: where is the bookmark data stored. (is it a hidden file in data folder
third: how do I view the file once I retrive it?
fourth how do I unroot?

XDA Site Constantly Refreshing in Chrome App topic

This has been going on for a long time with both the Chrome and Chrome Beta apps on multiple devices. The XDA site always tries to refresh when you try to move around the page making it a pain to browse. Has anyone found a solution for fixing this issue? It only happens with XDA.

[Q] chrome page language topic

Quick question about chrome on my nexus 4.. I recently changed system language to spanish, used this for a while, then changed it back.

Now the problem is, that even though chrome itself is in english again, many pages show up with their language setting set to show the spanish version. It's especially in incognito tabs, for example, i open a google search on incognito mode, and it will redirect me to the spanish google page and show mainly spanish-relating results.

Any idea how to change this? It's pretty annoying.

My old Galaxy Nexus used to do this.

But, now, when I zoom and then tap the screen, it just adjusts the zoom but will not reflow the text?

I tried this in the Galaxy browser and it doesn't work either?

Is there a way to get the tablet look of chrome on the phone? I prefer seeing all the tabs I got open instead of the way chrome is set up for the i605

[Q] Chrome menu (overflow) button missing with Cyanogen 11 topic

Hi. I'm on latest Cyanogen 11 mod and the Chrome menu (vertical 3 dots) button has disappeared.

The build on date 1/15/2014 works though, but nothing afterwards. When I first launch Chrome I actually see it briefly, but then it disappears.

Anyone have any ideas? I have tried updating GAPPs but nothing fixes it until I revert to build 1/15/2014 or earlier.
