Telus HTC One - simlock? topic

Hello,

I was wondering if our phone are locked with Telus or if I can go somewhere else? I'm currently S-Off and unlocked, but I know it's not the same as simlock (right?).

Before paying to get the code to unlock my phone (unless there's a way I didn't find to get it myself), I want to be sure it's needed.

Thanks

[Q] TELUS HTC One HELP, how do i get back to stock? topic

So I am a total NOOB when it comes to HTC and might have done something stupid. I just bought a used HTC one and it was bone stock. I decided that I wanted to install a google play edition rom. I did that and the ROM worked great except that I kept losing signal or not getting it at all. I didn't realize that I was supposed to make a BACK up in TWRP. I am trying to get the device back to stock and have tried flashing a zip file via fastboot only for it to fail.

I am not really sure what to do. I didnt realize it was this complicated to get back to stock. I had a GALAXY S3 before and just had to flash stock image via ODIN.

If anyone can HELP, that would be APPRECIATED.

My device details are as follows

Telus modem topic

I just rooted and installed CM11, and am having similar problems that I've had with Cyanogenmod with my S2; weak signal and blue tooth sounds like a robot at times.

Previously I've installed an alternative modem for Telus and it corrected the problem. I'm hoping a similar fix is available.

Thanks!

[Q] need help rooting telus GS3 topic

Trying to root it to get the hidden basebands so i can use it on wind mobile. I just switched to lnux and I found this video and instruction set on androidrootz "how to root galaxy s3 on max osx/linux/ubuntu [Jelly Bean] US/Canadian" (can't actually post the link because i'm apparently still new)

having some problems, the root isn't taking properly. I keep getting this readout from the console when I try to root the phone.

apollo@Prometheus ~ $ cd Desktop
apollo@Prometheus ~/Desktop $ cd motochopper
apollo@Prometheus ~/Desktop/motochopper $ chmod 755 *

everything is fine until that part that I have highlighted in red. suddenly stops and just says failure for no apparent reason. When the phone reboots, I have the superuser app installed but because the phone isnt actually rooted, i can't do anything with the app, just keeps trying to get me to update the su binary (again can't actually do it because the phone is not actually rooted). Anybody know what i can do to make it work properly?

[Q] BootLoop problem for Telus HTC One X topic

So I decided to root my HTC One X for the first time and install a custom ROM. I had unlocked the bootloader and added clockworkmod recovery, I had also created a back up. When I went to install Android Revolution HD I watched the video it provided and did everything exactly but what it didn't show was that I had to install the rom's zip file into my internal SD card before flashing the ROM and now it is stuck in a bootloop. I tried to fix it by clearing cashes, restoring, etc but now when I try to enter recovery through bootloader the phone just shuts off after it shows the splash screen. I was wondering if anyone would know how to excess the recovery through another means, I also tried used the "adb fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" but it says device not found.
