Screen Off - Not Locked topic

I am looking for a feature that I can apply to my Nexus 5. When you call someone and you put the phone up to your ear, the screen turns off but everything else continues on like normal. I would like to be able to toggle this option whenever I want. Any help would be appreciated.

I am currently in quite a conundrum, and was hoping one of you guys could help me out.

I recently bought a Xperia Z c6616 From Bell Canada and was under the understanding that the bootloader was unlocked, but to my (not so much (considering its bell)) surprise, it listed me as no under the configuration tab in the services menu (as mentioned on the official sony page.)

I am not financially in a position to buy a new phone, and both sony and bell have turned their backs on me.

What i have done so far :

IT suggested i flashed a generic rom, so i chose this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...al-se-t2223827

My device IS currently rooted, and is running on the ftf mentioned above ([FTF] Stock 10.1.A.1.434 (4.1.2) GLOBAL SE unbranded C6603(LTE) [.253 OTA])


To Sum up the question, I am a developer and would like to utilize a unlocked bootloader, but am unaware of what to do next to get it unlocked.

Please help.

I have a Samsung galaxy s3 korean which my brother gave me to fix, it was locked due to too much pattern attempts. i tried to look up how to go to recovery mode, it says Vol Up + Home + Power . but it doesnt seem to work. i tried another method which includes downloading some adb files, running cmd and typing some codes which basically tries to remove the gesture.ket from settings database, but this also didint help. i tried to wipe data on ADB, but i need root access, which i dont have in it.

So, any idea how i might fix this Samsung Galaxy S3 Korean ?

Security Level Locked to High topic

after updating my device to 4.4.2 I have problems with writing to external sd from third party apps... after searching around, I found that the security level is locked to high... I change to typical and it turns again to high... does anyone knows why happening that and how to to solve that problem?

I have an AT& T unlocked S4 that I use on T-Mobile and my S4 bootloader is locked. My question is I am going to get the S5 on T-mobile will it have an unlocked or locked bootloader?? We should be able to do whatever we want to our phone. I paid over $ 700 for it to be unlocked.

Rooting a Locked Xperia Z topic

So, I'm the owner of a shiny new Sony Xperia Z (hurrah!) but have quickly discovered that rooting it is not so easy (boo!), so would appreciate the benefit of other people's opinions/experiences.
First off, the hardware in question:

Sony Xperia Z
Model C6603
Android 4.3
Build 10.4.1.B.0.101

I've investigated a lot of threads here and elsewhere and watched through some videos, but no solid method of rooting it as yet.
So far, I've:

1) Gone into the developer settings and checked the bootloader status. It is set at Bootloader unlock allowed: no
2) I contacted my carrier and had the phone unlocked so that it is SIM-free. I have tested this and can now use any SIM card. When I recheck the developer settings however, it still says Bootloader unlock allowed: no.
3) I've used Sony's own unlocking site to run through the various settings and to upload my IMEI. I have a unlock boot loader key from Sony, but still cannot get this damn bootloader to say anything other than 'no'.
4) Reasoning that it might just be falsely reporting its status, I tried using the unlock function within Flashtool and it bugs out with a "Bootloader not unlocked" message.

So, as a last resort, I'm turning to you guys. Is there anything, short of me asking Sony or making hardware changes myself, I can do to get this damn phone rooted?

Do you know any way to root Xperia ZR 4.3 built 10.4.1.B.0.101 with locked bootloader? I'm searching for that but only see root for locked BL. I have some option if root for my built do not exist?

so iflashed .534 firmware ang root using vroot then i update .290 via OTA, now the root is gone. my bootloader is locked.

the phone should be unlocked .. but when putting my egyption local sim i'm getting message " sim network unlock pin "

the region lock sticker is not on box (removed) by the seller
box sticker say : its international version

sticker under battery say : sm-n900 (UD) .. i don't know what UD mean
box information wrote in Portugal language ! made in Vietnam !

now i don't know if my phone is us or Europe region lock ! if it's international then should it be locked to network or not !

1) download VZW 4.4.2 OTA (Blur_Version.140.45.5.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US .zip) to your phone's sd card (it will be in the download folder);

2) reboot into recovery; and

3) apply update from sdcard.

Ok, so this is my first ever forum post and I have resorted to this after hours of searching for a fix.

So let's get straight to the point. After changing my drag password thingy, I forgot it. Numerous attempts later to unlock the password, I found myself on this 'Sign in with your google account' screen of doom.

My phone runs 4.0 ice-cream sandwich.

My problems are:

• WiFi is disabled


• USB-Debugging is disabled

Things I've already tried:

• Factory reset on bootloader - the HTC screen just pops up then it freezes on it.


• Recovery on bootloader - the HTC screen just pops up then it freezes on it.


• Calling the phone with another phone and trying to drag the notification bar down/ button mashing - nothing happens.


• Using ADB to unlock it - I can't because USB-Debugging is disabled.


• Various fixes that use WiFi - WiFi is disabled.

Please, please, please help me! My phone has been locked like this for a month now. I've only had the phone for 6 months and I use(d) it very regularly. I will appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks!!

Hi. I have GT-P7500.Rom:P7500XXLQ8 BOOTLOADER:P7500JTLA1 CWM:6.0.3.1 Tab rooted but bootloader locked. When i press power+volume(-) button, tab pass download mode quickly. I can't flash bootloader, recovery or rom with odin . Sbin folder is empty in my tab. How can i solve this problem?:confused:

I've been thinking about dumping AT&T since they started limiting their unlimited plans. But I just got a Note-III and discovered the locked bootloader problem (from AT&T not Samsung) and that is the last straw.

I know T-Mobile is offering to buy out my contract but being able to root/flash my devices is the whole reason for running an Android and figured this was the best place to ask...

Are there any issues with unlocking/flashing/rooting T-Mobile Note-3s without tripping knox? I really REALLY want to tell the deathstar folks where they can shove their limited-unlimited plan and locked bootloaders!

Stuck on locked bootloader with s-on topic

Bought phone off of ebay, the incredible 2 is stuck on bootloader, i cant recover/factory restore, bootloader is locked and s-on, and computer recognizes it as a unknown device, although HTC sync recognizes it as an unknown htc phone. I've tried multiple times to load a few RUU signed stock roms, but nothing happens when its done loading in hboot. Do i have any options left or is it dead?
