Fix CM11 issues manually? topic

Hey everyone!

So, I've just flashed 3/26 on my phone and I just seen that they are fixing some issues with the nightly I just flashed.

I'm quite a flash-aholic and I enjoy flashing a lot, although I feel like I should just stick to one nightly if things are going good and there are no problems.

Now my question is, is it possible to just fix the issues manually rather than having to reflash again? I don't believe in dirty flashing, idk why but it doesn't make me feel real comfortable lol

I am able to use adb commands and how to reset my phone back to stock in case of an emergency (or restore from a backup)

[Q]Softbricked D802 after removing Xposed manually topic

Hey guys,
Coming from Nexus 4, I'm fairly new to the G2 forums. Last week I rooted my D802 and flashed the OptimusRS Kitkat rom (V3.5) and played around with some tweaks to change its framework. I installed Xposed (2.5 beta) and a few modules (Gravity Box, G2 Tweakbox) to hide the navbar and some other cosmetical stuff. I noticed this beta release of Xposed was still a little buggy here and there, so I removed it manually (through the app itself and rebooted...

...and then I got the infinite boot loop.

Since I removed Xposed manually, my G2 is stuck at the LG logo, I can't get into recovery, I tried a hard reset (by pushing the power button three times in the white screen), but after that, the screen remains blackish (there is some light though, so the phone is 'on').

I tried several guides to restore the stock firmware, but my Windows XP laptop won't recognize my device. The LG R&D software says my phone is disconnected, so restoring gets stuck at 15%. When I try to put my phone in download mode, I only see the little blue sign 'download mode', but no other options.

I'm absolutely out of options. I'm quite experienced with flashing roms, but never got myself in so much trouble before. I almost threw my G2 (which I really, really love) out of the window because of this.

Thanks in advance.

[Q] how can I update to kitkat manually? topic

Hi guys, I've searched a bit for this and couldn't find anything, so I thought it was because it's a bit of a noob question...

So yesterday I rooted my international exynos note 3 (sm n900) via CF auto-root. Everything worked fine. I was wondering if there was a way to update my phone to kitkat, since it's attached to a provided that hasn't released kitkat officially yet...
Or do I have to wait until it's released officially for my carrier, then unroot, update and reroot?

Thanks :)

[Request] Editing weapon stats manually topic

I would like to find a way to edit standard weapon stats directly, without accounting for mods, in order to make the AMCAR a more viable weapon by slightly increasing damage, accuracy and stability to something more acceptable.
No, I don't want max stats, just a slight increase (~32 damage, 14 accuracy etc.) because I love how this weapon sounds and feels, and want to use it for fun. The AK5 could also use a slight boost in the damage area.

Anything that could help me achieve my goal is appreciated.

[Q] Stuck on Boot Loop have tried factory data reset AND manually installing firmware topic

My GS2 (Model SGH-S959G) is stuck on boot loop and I have tried factory data reset. It started to reset as usual then started right back into boot loop. It now just says 'deleting cryption meta data' when I attempt to go into factory data reset mode and then starts to boot loop all over. I also have the stock firmware for it on my computer and attempted to install it with Odin as per instruction I actually found on this forum (which is why I'm here asking this question :) ) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1982571. I followed the directions for flashing the factory firmware as listed. Odin read the install was a success and gave me the green PASS, however the phone went right back to boot loop. How can I fix this?

Thanks for your help in advance! I've been trying to figure this out all day :/

How to manually patch settings in Kernel topic

I would be grateful if anyone with more knowledge than I would be so kind as to give me instruction on how to write a patch to modify some settings on my SGH-i497, relating to touchscreen sensitivity and other settings. There are no compatible apps (to my knowledge) and almost no information or development. This is a rampant problem with users who want to use a stylus on the Tab 2. I am in search of a solution.

Running TWRP 2.4.4, SuperSU, ROOT, Stock everything else.

AT&T 4GLTE Tab 2 "10.1" SGH-i497.

I do not want to install a custom kernel or ROM at this time due to a lack of development. I just want to change a few settings to make my touchscreen more sensitive, and to reduce the track delay to zero. There is an app that does this for several Samsung devices, and will function on the Tab 2, but it has incompatible superuser protocols, and will not save settings. Perhaps this app is a good place to start??? Development on this app seems to be dead.
