[Q] [HELP] After flash, phone displays nothing ! topic

Hi, i'm using "Huawei Ascend Y210-0100", i had a problem with the dialer app so i flashed the official firmware (consumer.huawei.com/en/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=14221) using the sdcard, the upgrade finished succesfuly but after reboot my phone displays NOTHING but still work (sound, vibration,touch screen) ... i tried to flash again but nothing helped.

Help! Force closes and nothing fixes them topic

I have a Verizon Note 3 and this morning several apps started force closing or stopping every time I used them. Instagram, Google Search, and Gmail, whenever i open a message ( list view was fine). I started with uninstalling the apps, clearing cache and defaults and everything. After that didn't work i did a factory reset and the only thing that changed was the gmail now works fine but the rest force close in about 2 seconds every time. I tried Norton antivirus and that force closes immediately too. Even the crash reports process crashes when trying to report them. and ideas where to go next besides Verizon?

can't boot into recovery (TWRP, CWM different flashing methods -- nothing works) topic

hey all, im stuck running the jedi elite rom (apps constantly FC, laggy, bulky) and so I downloaded AOSB rom. I booted into recovery, which was TWRP 2.6.3.8 i believe, maybe .9. I made a full backup, then I tried to install TWRP 2.7. I flashed the .zip file from the official site, then after flashing, i went to main menu, reboot, then i hit recovery. when it went to reboot into recovery, it got stuck on the black startup screen, it says

this didnt bother me, as thats what it normally says when it boots up, but this time it was stuck. I downloaded Odin 3.09, then downloaded the TWRP 2.7 .tar and installed that, it booted into my old rom, and i tried to boot into recovery from there, same result. I used odin to boot back into the rom, downloaded goomanager, and downloaded the older 2.6.3.9 recovery and everything installed fine as far as i can tell, rebooted into recovery, nothing. I used odin to flash a CWM recovery, same results. It seems recovery is broken. Can anyone help me? I just want stock, AOSP android, tired of TouchWiz's bullcrap.

What is up with xda/mod community and locked bootloaders? Why are we letting OEM's like Samsung force feeding us enterprise security through consumer channels/devices instead of giving us choice? I was very upset tripping Knox disallowed encryption altogether. Not all of us need or want that. Many xda'ers are fairly savvy enough to do as we please with little repercussions. The ones that aren't don't read or don't Google. As a community we should voice our concerns that there should be separate markets/devices/firmware for consumer grade security and enterprise security. Actually I have no qualms with a low level Knox implementation to trip efuses to void warranty for modders. Fair enough without explanation. I want to encrypt my phone even with a tripped fuse. Force feeding Knox is lame and retards the beauty of open source. Knox grade security just doesn't make for an open source recipe anymore. I probably won't get an s5 but it is mainly because of knox and all the disadvantages that are tied into it whether we can cherry pick our security or not. Honestly, as much as I want Samsung and competitors to succeed financially and market share wise, the s5 really needs to fail. BAAAAD. Just so the message gets across to Samsung brass that when we void our warranties, not only do we want to own our phones but we should still be able to add a layer of security that otherwise isn't there because of Knox's all or nothing approach. Knox doesn't let us own our phones. It is an illusion when knox is tripped. The masses don't void their warranties in any way, including just basic root, so why exclude the very very valuable 5% that perpetuates the very nature of open source and furthers the development and customization that has made Android the juggernaut it is? I just don't understand. The masses don't even understand a sliver of what knox offers, not even including the small 5% that don't want it but can't avoid it. I truly hope our small community can put enough of a dent in s5 sales and future knoxified phones that Samsung will sit up and notice. A little HTC or Sony sideline contemplation of what we did wrong and what can we do to invite potentially loyal customers back would do Samsung a lot of good. SMDH. Thoughts?

[Q] Flashed rom on sprint galaxy S4, now nothing works topic

Hi all, this is my first time posting on this site, though ive been reading things on here for years now as a guest. I hope this is the right forum to post this, I apologize if its not.

Ive never had this trouble flashing a rom before on my old phones. Ive got an sph-l720 galaxy s4 from sprint, it was running 4.3. I successfully rooted it and installed CWM. I had just activated the phone everything was working. I flashed a rom called "Darth Stalker". Once it was installed everything appeared to work. But it turned out the only thing that did was wifi. No data, I could receive texts but if I tried to reply Id get error code 0.
I tried to restore my nandroid and it keeps failing on restoring /system. Any ideas what the hell is going on here??

[Q] Phone screen black but still working? (Like nothing before) topic

The screen is not frozen for stuck or anything, it is literally black and the touchscreen was and is broken. Like here is how it went. I got back from school, I was mad because I got a bad grade on my test somehow and my parents would not be quiet about it and when I got to my room my phone randomly shut down 5 times for no reason and then it happened. I threw my phone at the floor and then it somehow flew up and hit a sharp edge on my table and then it fell on the floor again (BTW my floor is cushiony and soft, not hardwood). I was scared because I love the Nokia Lumia 900. I went to go pick it up and when I did, there was like blue liquid, almost like pen ink, coming out of the bottom right of the phone (I do not have images because this happened at November 2013, it is January 2014 now.). I thought it would clear tomorrow but then later that night the "ink" had gone almost 4/6 of the phone. I thought it was nothing and it would clean up by tomorrow so I went to bed. The next morning I checked on my phone and I kept pressing the on button but that's when I knew it was on. everything on the phone worked except for that the screen was black and the liquid covered the screen so the touchscreen was out of order also.

My dad found out a few months later (I was scared to tell my dad) and he got really mad. The phone is not broken, the screen has just been overflown with this ink stuff.

What is happening and what should I do to clean it? Or should I just wait 11 months for a new phone? This iste helped me with my phone not starting so please help me! ;)

Nothing happens when connecting Ativ S on PC topic

My Ativ S used to work great, but two days ago I accepted a Samsung update. Since then my phone was without sounds on speaker and not charging. To make it charge I had to turn it off and then connect the cable. Today I decided to do a hard reset (lost my here drive+ :( ) and now everything works well. Except my phone is not recognized when plugged on any pc (I tried 2 windows 7 and 1 windows 8). That way I can't downgrade or do anything else via cable. Can somebody help me?
