I cannot upload files to my "flashed" Galaxy S4 topic

I have a Galaxy S4 that is flashed to Verizon Prepaid (originally U.S Cellular) I am trying to send pictures and files, like songs to and from my computer, but when I plug my phone into the laptop I hear a "bing" but nothing comes up. On previous smarthphones I've had, on the phone it would give me options to use as a disk drive ( where I could upload or download files to my phone) But I am not getting anything. I am new to the Galaxy series so I am not sure if its a setting or if its because its a flashed phone.
Also I was trying to use the Samsung Kies, but (after I installed the program) I'd plug my phone into the laptop but it would say device not supported. I am guessing because it's flashed ( it doesn't recognize it as a Galaxy S4 ) Will the Samsung Kies not work on a Flashed phone?

[Q] Flashed Wrong Recovery, Now I'm Screwed topic

The facts: My phone is stuck at a black screen, no bootloop, doesn't do anything.Plugging it into my computer yields the computer recognizing the device as QHSUSB_DLOAD. adb devices and fastboot devices comes up empty.

The story: I was browsing TWRP versions in Goo Manager when my chihuahua jumped in my lap, stepping on the phone and knocking it to the floor. After petting the dog for a few moments, I reached down and picked up the phone only to find it installing SOMETHING in TWRP. Before I could see what it was, the screen went black and has been stuck there since.

Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

So I read on safe root method that with a locked bootloader you can't flash Roms or do twrrp or cwm. Coming from a Motorola droid RAZR maxx xt912 and having a locked bootloader I was able to flash any rom for my device and deal with whatever bugs. Is this still true for my note 2 with a locked bootloader?

Im here seeking for help and advice on a rooted Galaxy Note 2 from Sprint Flashed to Boost mobile.

I wanted to know if there are any apps that can bypass a password/pattern lock?

Also if there are any spy or tracking apps that I can install on this phone, so that way I can get real time gps, view texts/calls etc remotely like this software from mobile spy dot com.

I dont want to shell out the money for something that I may be able to get for free from the app store.. so any help is appreciated.

Help!! flashed wrong recovery topic

I flashed twrp recovery from HOX interational version by mistake. Now the phone is stuck in bootloop. Tried to boot into bootloader by pressing vol down + power but that didnt work and i also tried to reboot via adb but that also threw me an error . I cant even turn off my phone it just keep rebooting.. Is there anyway i can revert this? Btw my phone is recognized by PC in disk manager though.

My phone is s-off and unlocked.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all, this is my first time posting on this site, though ive been reading things on here for years now as a guest. I hope this is the right forum to post this, I apologize if its not.

Ive never had this trouble flashing a rom before on my old phones. Ive got an sph-l720 galaxy s4 from sprint, it was running 4.3. I successfully rooted it and installed CWM. I had just activated the phone everything was working. I flashed a rom called "Darth Stalker". Once it was installed everything appeared to work. But it turned out the only thing that did was wifi. No data, I could receive texts but if I tried to reply Id get error code 0.
I tried to restore my nandroid and it keeps failing on restoring /system. Any ideas what the hell is going on here??

Hi there, new to the forums posting but I read here constantly. I have an sm-900w8 note from Telus in Canada. I was running a custom rom before and decided I wanted to go back to stock before the Kitkat release. Anyway, I flashed the rom from sammobile.com that was for my phone (the link said it was for telus and the file even ends in TLS). So I flash it using odin and everything is perfect, the phone reboots and odin is finished. After that I decided I wanted to clear all my data and apps off the phone as well so I did a factory reset. The next time I turn the phone on everything is working (wifi gps ect) but I can't get on the network and it says I don't have a valid SIM. Also I notice the app packages from telus are not the correct ones and one of them is labelled Bell. So I am guessing the site has the bell firmware for telus as well? This doesn't matter to me but I do need my network running. Do you think it would just be a modem problem? Any information would be GREATLY appreciated guys!

Hoping someone here can help me fix this problem without having to RUU and start all over...

I'm S-On with 2.09 HBOOT.

I had been running MeanBean for the last 6 months or so, but decided to finally give an AOKP ROM a try because I wanted to check out HALO. First, I did a Nandroid backup of MeanBean using TWRP. Then I downloaded the latest DirtyUnicorns build, placed it in on my SD card and flashed through TWRP (2.3.1), inlcuding the attached GApps and the CM10.2 data fix. It wouldn't boot at first, and I realized that my old kernel for MeanBean was Sense-based, so wasn't compatible with AOKP. I extracted the boot.img file from the ROM and flashed using fastboot. After that I was able to boot up and was up and running with Dirty Unicorns on Mazda's supplied kernel.

DU is pretty awesome and there is so much to do in the ROM, plus HALO is awesome. I wish that was incorporated into every ROM. But my battery life the first couple of days left much to be desired. Even using Kernel Tuner to underclock with screen off and Llama to turn stuff off when I didn't need it, I was approaching 30% by lunchtime. So in an effort to try and fix this, I tried to flash the latest Haunted HC kernel (DU thread says people have flashed this and it runs) through Flash Image GUI since I am S-On. Unfortunately, the phone went into a boot loop after this and wouldn't get past the HTC screen. When I got home I reflashed the DU kernel through Fastboot, but then my WiFi wasn't functional.

After trying to flash a few times and it not working (WiFi still broken), I decided to just go back to MeanBean using the Nandroid. Used TWRP to do this, but then the phone wouldn't boot past the HTC screen after this. Was stuck at my girlfriend's and didn't have fastboot available, so I reflashed DU off of my SD card and it booted up and runs, but now I can't access my internal storage. This means I can't use Swiftkey and the Gallery app isn't functional either. When I try to mount internal storage in TWRP to reformat it, it just says internal storage cannot be mounted. Does anybody know how to fix this??? Everything I could find on here says that I should be able to mount using TWRP at least, but I can't even get that to work.

TLDR - Been flashing ROM's/kernels and now can't mount internal storage.

my device can't get into recovery mode, but it still can in download mode

When I flash stock rom with Odin, it ends with a "NAND (write) Start!!" "FAIL!"

help on returning flashed htc one back to HTC topic

I have a flashed htc one (slimbean rom 4.3) along with the launcher that comes with it but need to return my phone due to blue cam tint while taking photos. This is my first smartphone and flashed android I ever did. Do we need to revert it back to original? How do I go about doing that? A step by step guide would be great.

Anyone who returned their phone do they just replace the phone completely? Do I need backup everything? How to do that? How long would it take to receive my phone after they receive it?

Anyone that can help me through this whole process that would be great helping a noob like me :cowboy: :good:

I just tried flashing XTL 3.0.1 rom for stock Xperia TL firmwares on my LT30at. Now it is stuck in a bootloop and I can't seem to find stock AT&T .ftf files anywhere. Could someone please help me out?
