Odd issue -- after flashing, phone reboots to fastboot and loses custom recovery.. topic

So, I had to replace my HTC One.

The new one is 1.55 -- I am still S-On.

Today I flashed CWM 6043 using fastboot after unlocking the bootloader through HTC.

I flashed SuperSU.

I attempted to flash two of the newer roms (InsertCoin and Renovate) because I wanted Sense 6.

After successfully going through the flash, the phone reboots and goes straight back to Fastboot. If I go into the Bootloader and try to go into Recovery, it just kicks me back to the bootloader. I can then use fastboot to reflash CWM 6043 again and do it all over.

Same thing.

Every time.

Thoughts?

[Q] Galaxy S4 i9505 reboots topic

Hi,

I have a Galaxy S4 i9505 LTE which is is rebooting every 10 minutes and sometimes even every minute.

I have also flashed the phone using odin to I9505XXUENAA 4.3 and wiped both userdata and cache partitions, to ensure all data has been lost. However the phone still does the reboots. The reboots only happen if the phone happens to be in sleep and running on battery, if the phone is either connected with the USB or with the screen on, it simply won't restart however if a certain time passes and goes to sleep then after 10 seconds it triggers the reboot.

Maybe this can even add some more info I noticed that exactly at the time before a restart is about to happen (the phone is currently in sleep state) if you press either the home or power button to wake it up, it simply does not show the screen and after few seconds you can hear a short vibrate then another short vibrate and the Samsung Logo appear.

I have also tried to monitor the logcat through ADB, and I tried to study the log for the E/ logs. Basically every minute or so the following line is printed on the logs:

Code:

E/watchdog (xxx)  !@Sync Y

(where Y is a incremental number starting from 0 from the time booting)

Attached here is also a copy of the logcat textfile generated. (Sorry I had to archive it as it is too large to attach)

Do you think this is a software or hardware issue, it seems that an android watchdog timer is not happy with some sort of thing, can anybody help me?

[Q] Kindle Fire Reboots Every 30 Seconds? topic

My Kindle Fire first gen will boot up but I receive two errors as soon as I unlock it and it'll reboot every 30 seconds. What would be a way I could reinstall the stock OS on it using a mac? I have a factory cable if that would be of any use. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am kind of a noob at this so step by step instructions would be great.

Hi, i have S3 Mini, and i have installed maclaw's rom 4.4.2 CM11, and now Carbon, all recent updates... I have the problem of random reboots when im charging or when i have a poor signal or less battery... When i'm ussing a lot of CPU, this automatly reboot.. How can i fix it? I tried to flash RIL and MODEM of STOCK rom and the reboots are less now, but, this keep going on... Some answer?

PS.: After reboot, my battery lvl was 27% and now 82% for example... When the battery shows 100% i need to restart 10 or 12 for fully charging 100%.... I think the signal is the major problem and de CPU... I'm using PEGASUS(before INTERACTIVE)

[Q] Nexus 7 2012 reboots topic

My Nexus 7 16GB 2012 has started to randomly reboot, it's running 4.4.2 and has been fine for months. This morning I switched it in, turned off the Airplane Mode and after 30 seconds or so it locked up, then reset. This happens every time I turn off Airplane Mode and switch on WiFi.

I'm wondering if there is some sort of corrupt RAM causing the issue? I've tried to do a Factory Reset, but this also fails and I end up back at square one. So I tried Nexus Root Tookit to go back to stock (all I've done previously is unlock the bootloader, no root). This also fails:

sending 'bootloader' (3911 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.516s]
writing 'bootloader'...
FAILED (remote: (InvalidState))
finished. total time: 0.745s

Any suggestions on what to try next?

This may of course be a hardware fault, the device was bought in Summer 2012 on release.

Flashing via recovery reboots phone topic

Hello there!

I have an international HTC One with ViperOne 5.5.1.
I recently made my phone S-OFF (it has 1.54).

Now the problem: As soon as I try to flash either a kernel or a bootscreen, the phone reboots. I currently have CWM Touch (just 5 minutes now, I flashed CWMT because TWRP had the same problem). The problem is not in the recovery, since they both don't work. Fastboot works (I could flash a different recovery). It's just that as soon as something tries to flash into /system, the phone reboots itself. I tried pushing the bootscreen via adb, but that gave a 'protocol failure.'

tl;dr: Phone reboots while flashing in both TWRP and CWM Touch, eventually it didn't flash anything at all.

I am beyond reasoning and have no clue on what to do.

Random reboots after installing Gapps in Kitkat topic

Hi

I'm trying to install Kitkat 4.4 with Maclaws cm11. Also tried the carbon rom. All seems to work fine until I flash G apps. Then I get random reboots shortly after boot. Tried both micro and aroma Gapps from Mclaw. Am I alone with this problem? Any suggestions?
I'm using CWM for flashing and wrong cache etc. Baseband I8190XXANA2 in stock 4.1.2 (rooted) which works fine.

Nexus 10 Random Reboots topic

'My Nexus 10 started to randomly reboot several times a day after the Kitkat update and because it is outside the warranty period I cannot get it replaced.'

It reboots no matter what is running and sometimes it reboots immediately after a power up but never enters a reboot loop.

I've tried a factory reset and running it in safe mode but that didn't stop it.

I've not been able to replicate the reboot fault until yesterday when I ran the BBC iplayer and downloaded a 1-hour Horozon video of about 650Mb and when I tried to play it I got a reboot and that happened consistantly.

I tried a complete power down and reboot then tried to play the downloaded video but it always rebooted.

I tried deleting and re-saving the video incase it was corrupt but it still rebooted.

I tried deleting the video and streaming it and I could watch it that way without any reboot.

I've tried downloading three 1-hour Horizon videos of about the same size and only one plays without rebooting.

A check of running apps shows just the keyboard and a couple of system apps but I still get the reboot when I try to play the saved video.

I thought about removing apps one at a time to see if that would solve it but I've basically got the same apps I had before the Kitkat update.

I wondered if I could undo the Kitkat update and flash the previous rom to see if that would solve it for Kitkat was not a big improvement.

I've never used a custom rom and not run anyting other than stock software.

I would be most grateful for any suggestions on how to fix this rebooting problem and whether going to an earlier version of Android is feasable and how would I do it.

Random reboots on tw 4.3 topic

I'm on swarm rom with the old bootloader and I've been getting reboots lately. Does it have to do with the old bootloader? I'm on stock kernel with wifi fix. Devil wasn't stable for me. Does anyone have a similar problem and a solution?

[Q] Very Urgent plese help nexus reboots into recovery only topic

Hello

My nexus 4 gets stuck on the google logo then boots into cwm recovery after I tried to install the stock 4.4.2 rom, I was coming from PA 4.3 rom.
The install aborted itself. I
wiped everything before hand and tried to install the rom again and still have the issue.
I downloaded the 4..3 stock rom but I don't know how to get it into my phone. I am on a mac and can't clear adb instructions.
I think I may have bricked my phone. Can someone help me find a way to fix this?

Replaced USB Port & Now Phone Constantly Reboots. topic

Hello all. So I got my OEM Samsung USB port today. I quickly went into operation and replaced the USB port. All went well until it was time to turn my phone on after a successful charge. I booted into PA 3.99 and all seemed well for a moment and then the reboot. This keeps on nonstop. The phone boots past the boot animation, I get the trickstermod alert that settings are applied; I'll try to upload a file to Google Drive and then it freezes and reboots. Even if I'm not trying to upload anything to drive; it reboots. I even factory reset, wipe cache, format system yadda yah... Clean install a new ROM and I can't even get past signing into WiFi before the phone is ready to use, and it reboots. At this point; my phone is unusasble! WTF happened?!?

[Q] WTF problem - reboots every night after 4.2.2 update topic

sorry, cant figure out how to delete post, only edits

[Q] Reboots every evening after getting 4.2.2 update topic

OK, this is really weird - after getting the 4.2.2 update, my phone reboots itself every night, not 100% sure it's exactly the same time, but it's been while sitting in my pocket or on the table, not even in use. At first I assumed it was Zooper, which I had installed right after the update, but I disabled it yesterday and got the reboot again tonight.

I even checked my Tasker to make sure some auto-reboot profile hadn't installed itself!

Any hints about how to diagnose this? Do I have no choice but to remove apps one by one? Most of the apps I run are the same ones I run on my TF300 tablet which also has 4.2.2, so don't know if it could be an app.

uptime and reboots? topic

Just a question...Love my mega never a single problem. I hardly ever reboot my device and have never experienced a single reboot. When I open a terminal and run the uptime command I rarely ever see more than 10 days maybe 15 max. So I wonder if the system reboots during sleep time to keep resources free? I would expect to see like 30 days...etc or more.
