Root issues with Pacman rom Edison 4.3.build-1 topic

Im not sure if its just a setting in Pacman rom or what but root is not being recognized by the system. I say the system because everything else seems to work fine. Su is in the bin folder, superuser apk is installed properly. I have BMM installed as well, and it can successfully install root to the system, once in the system it doesnt work at all. Developer options are checked APP and ADB, adb su works fine over usb. I feel like im missing something. Id rather not switch away i love the features but i may need to at this point if i cant get it working right.
