Fix for T-Mobile LTE? topic

Is there a workaround or any suggestions to get everything functional such as calls etc.

As of now only data works but you can't receive or send out messages,make calls etc.

When connected to H+ everything works flawlessly and the carrier shows, when connected to LTE only data works nothing else and the phone can't identify what carrier is being used.

Verizon HTC One M8 on T-Mobile topic

I have an account with T-Mobile, I have my parents there with the iPhones 5s, I just popped in my T-Mobile sim card into my Verizon HTC One M8 and I get LTE and everything! :D everything works fine! I don't know if this is suppose to happen, I'm actually shocked that Verizon didn't carrier lock this phone.

I am leaving T-Mobile little by little but if anyone is wondering if it works with other carriers, well add T-Mobile to the yes list.

Hi all! First post here, I've read through pages and pages of forum posts looking for an answer but haven't found one so I thought I would ask a quick question.

I have an AT&T One that I recently unlocked, I then left AT&T for T-Mobile and am having issues with MMS sending/receiving and Mobile Hot spot. Everything else is functionality. T-Mobile says they can't help, HTC says they can't help.

As a result I was thinking I flashing it with a T-Mobile ROM.

Do you think it will help?

I wanted to confirm before I start digging more into how to flash it.

T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2 GPS location data wrong. topic

I have a rooted TMobile Galaxy Note 2 and for some reason it shows my phone location as being in Tonapah Nevada. I am in Stockton California tho. When I try to use navigation it always shows my start location as that same location ("unnamed rd in Tonapah Nevada") unless I scroll across the map and manually find my location dot in Stockton. It isnt exclusive to google. I have the same problem with the 'Check in' feature on Facebook. I I've tried everything i could with my limited knowledge of the processes and searched threads for similar problems. I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks

guys it's my first post here..

i installed a custom rom on my motorola defy without taking a backup of stock rom. now, after installing a jellybean custom rom my defy is asking for a SIM unlock network PIN.
I searched over internet that flashing a stock rom again may unlock my phone. but i have no idea which stock rom to flash?
so, if i come to know about t-mobile uk or usa version than i can download the respective stock rom for motorola defy.

Strange LTE / 4G issues HTC One T-Mobile topic

My T-Mobile speeds are pretty good. According to speed test pointing to the same server my speeds for the last few months were

4g (non-lte) up to 15 down, up to 5 up
LTE 35-50 down, 20-25 up


Yesterday I had issues with LTE, it was around 5 down. I thought too many people must have gotten T-Mobile in my area
Then I tested it again at night, same deal. I switched to 4g hspa (GSM\WCDMA Auto) and my download was crazy fast, up to 25mbps, while up was still under 5. Then I tried switching back to LTE (GSM\WCDMA\LTE Auto), but the icon wouldn't change to LTE. My samsung sitting a few inches away was showing LTE, but I didn't test samsung because it has used all high speed data. I rebooted the phone, still showed 4G, not LTE. Then I pulled the sim out of HTC One and put it in Nexus 5 - Nexus showed LTE right away and tested at over 35mbps. Put back into HTC One - this time LTE showed up, but speeds were still less than 5. (I did all tests at exact same place, with the phones laying in the same spot on the desk). I called T-Mobile tech support - no help
Then I took HTC One closer to the window, and speed went up to 30. Put it back on the same spot on the desk and speeds are fine, over 30. Tested 4g hspa - under 15. Today, speeds are up to 50, while 4g hspa again under 15.

What's the deal? Did T-Mobile guy do something?

To summarize:
1. When LTE on HTC One was very slow, HSPA was very fast and Nexus 5 LTE was very fast (I didn't not test Nexus hspa unfortunately)

2, When switching from LTE to 4g hspa, switching back didn't work. Rebooting didn't help either. Trying the same thing today - it works but takes a while. I noticed that if I switch to LTE and then switch wifi ON and then OFF, LTE comes back right away. But without toggling WIFI it takes over a minute.

3. One other interesting thing - when I place a call LTE switches to 4g. After you hang up it switches to LTE, BUT -
On HTC One - it switches right away!!
On Samsung - always takes a little time. maybe even over a minute
On Nexus 5 - sometimes a few seconds, other times up 5 minutes!!!!

Why HTC One is able to switch to LTE right away, while Nexus 5 may take up to 5 minutes? is there an easy way (via some program) to force Nexus and Samsung to switch right away?

P.S. Another issue with HTC One - wifi is much weaker when further away from the router. I'd get 5mbps where Nexus 5 and Samsung would get 15-20. I had same issue with my previous nexus 5 but my new nexus 5 seems to be much better on wifi now. I know it has a lot to do with the router, when when some phones are OK with the router and others aren't, that means some phones will be OK with public wifi while others won't be. I tested the public wifi with my old nexus 5, it was 30-50% slower than samsung

Tmobile m919 bo wifi or sound need help, topic

Hey, So i was running 4.3 MK2 on my m919 phone. I used odin to flashIm "MDL MODEM" it restarted and i did not have any wifi or sound

Then, i downloaded the stock rom for m919 4.3 mk2, I flashed it with odin back to stock rom and still dont have wifi or sound,,

Im not sure if i should upgrade the firmware through kies or not,

[Q] Moto X T-Mobile Dev: sp space not enough error topic

My phone is a T-Mobile DEV Moto x. Unlocked bootloader. Have been flash with the 4.4.2 rom of ROGER and Retailed Taiwan.
After flashed with Retailed Taiwan, I flash it back to T-Mobile 4.4.2 and get this 'sp space not enough error' when flashing the system (fastboot flash system system.img). My phone can boot fine with the T-Mobile 4.4.2 system.
I redo the whole flash process as below:

Still get the same error when flashing the system. I can backup and restore the system with TWRP recovery without any problem.
Should it be concerned? How can I get rid of this error?

I recently flashed a MIUI ROM from our verizon thread and noticed it worked decently with either a tmobile sim or our own Verizon LTE.
I also recently flashed this T-mobile ROM :http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2292054
which was posted on the T-mobile thread but had our verizon kernal in the list of downloads, with success.

So my question is this: can i flash any Tmobile ROM as long as it doesn't include a kernal and radio and of course access the network settings to change it to LTE/CDMA.???

T-Mobile native wifi hotspot hack topic

Prerequisites
1. Rooted T-mobile G Flex
2. SQlite Editor app(.99) probably a free alternative out there
3. Hotspot Widget from Google Play

Instructions
1. Open SQlite Editor look in - /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db then click global scroll down to field "tether_dun_required" edit the original value set 1 and change it to 0.
Note: Every time the phone reboots the original value defaults back to 1 so you will need to change the value back to 0 every time the phone reboots.
2. Only enable tether through the widget that you downloaded earlier. For some reason if you use the official t-mobile widget it won't work.
3. I don't have a working G Flex to test but you may have to use UA spoofer for chrome and set the browser to safari or something mobile.

No data at all during call -- T-Mobile or wi-fi topic

Searching revealed this post about a lack of simultaneous voice and (mobile) data on AT&T, but the thread has been idle since June 2013 and it doesn't exactly match my problem.

I have recently begun to notice that I have no data during phone calls. Curiously, this is even when the phone is connected to wi-fi. I noticed it a month ago, when after a few minutes into a call, the Line messaging app raised a notification that it had no connection. Sure enough, I couldn't do anything online until I ended the call. Then I tested mobile data, and noticed the same problem.

The first time I noticed this problem, I was running PSX version 2 ROM, Hells-Core b43 kernel, and the hybrid 33/84 radio. Now I'm running OmniROM (with its kernel) and the 98 radio, yet the problem persists.

Any pointers to how I can fix this? Or is it a problem that everyone's had to learn to deal with -- and I'm just late noticing it?

[Q] Cannot set APN (T-Mobile US) topic

I inserted my microsim card into the machiine and connected to Wifi. However it did not automatically download carrier's mobile network setting as a lot webpages described. So I tried to input APN settings manually. But as soon as I input everything and hit save, it went back to the original APN setting window without showing the newly added APN EVEN IF I selected Save.

Has anyone else had this problem?

SMS not working on Verizon Note 3 w/ T-Mobile LTE topic

So I hope someone here can help me. I just got Verizon's Note 3, and popped in my T-mobile Sim card and everything setup perfectly for data and phone calls. My one stopping point is Text messages. Every time i send out a text it fails on me. I even did a full wipe and did not do anything but try to send out a text so it would be a clean OS, and still no good. Did I miss something. Now every now and again I can receive a text, but it text minimum of 30 trys to get one to reply back. This is a huge issue and could use some big help. Also I am on the stock OS, all I did was root, and put on safestrap. Thanks!

I rooted my phone via the RDLV method to keep the knox counter at 0. Since T-mobile started rolling out the kit kat update, I've been having to postpone it daily. Is there a way to keep it from popping up or staying in the notification?

Even better would be a method to root kit kat without tripping the knox counter.

Ok I have a clean esn galaxy s4 sch-i545 from verizon

It works perfect data and talk text with my atat (h20) sim card, but when I insert multiple different tmobile sims, it wont register on network (no signal bars)

I have spent hours reading forums and am complete lost
