Signal strength topic

Can those who have the device already comment on your reception strength compared to your previous devices?

I have a Moto X, and I used the have the M7. Signal strength of the X is a consistent 10-15 dBm better than on the M7.

Just wondering if anyone can chip in and comment on this. If signal strength is about the same as the M7, I may have to go with the S5. I tether for my home internet so every little bit matters.

Loosing cell signal cm11 topic

A couple weeks ago my phone started acting up, loosing it signal often. Restarts does not help, it may go everything from asap to many hours before it asks me for my sim pin code and connects me to the network again. Any ideas how to fix this?

[Q] Android 4.2 Signal Icon Color? topic

Hi

My phone has Android 4.2.. Since i bought it 4 months ago, the signal/network/reception icon color was holo blue.. But yesterday I changed my sim as my old one stopped working.. Since then the color has changed into green..
Any idea why this has happened and how do i get it back to holo blue..
I havent touched any settings nor have i changed anything in the phone..
Nor does the phone have any kind of launcher or theme.. Its vanilla 4.2

I can't find where battery and signal icons are located. I found several icons in framework-res.apk, however seems like those are not used in notification bar, they look differ. Where those that I need to change are located?

Help S4 Random loss of Signal after Root topic

HI

Ever since I Rooted my S4 and installed Carbon rom I having real random loss of network signal.

Some times hours can go by and its fine to 30 mins passing by and loss.

Can guarantee while moving in the car it will happen as you pass between cell mass.

Never happened before I rooted so can only image I have done some thing wrong, I used to have a HTC one and they was so simple to root and to stick a rom on.

The Samsung phone have more steps to them that I can only image I messed up some were along the line , any one with good knowledge care to take a look a my Samsung info screen shots and see if iv done some thing stupid.

Tried forcing 3g only or GSM make no difference tried two other roms and the same happens

Cm11 no signal after flash, can't get it back topic

Hi all, I flashed temasek's latest build and now have no signal (no gsm or data). I played around a little, cleaning sim, checking apn and mobile data settings but still no joy. So I restored the backup I made before the flash and still no signal. Not sure how to get it back, any ideas guys?

Wifi works. Flashed modem twice (tried MK2 and NB4), also NON-HLOS. Baseband/IMEI/phone number have valid values. Rooted and on custom ROM for 4.4.2.

Signal dropping constantly topic

So my mom has this phone, and me and my sister have HTC ones. Our phones work fine at home, and we just got Lte coverage a few days ago, so that's been nice. However, my mom's phone recently has been dropping basically every call no matter where she is or how much service it says she has. The signal bars show a red x, and usually given time the service will come back, but sometimes it takes a restart. I've tried updating profile and prl, and the best the people at the sprint store could do was tell me that there is supposed to be a software update coming to fix it. The phone is completely stock. It doesn't seem like the network cause the other phones work fine. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas on what we could try?

I have seen that many users are facing the " No Signal Error " after updating to their custom rom

Here' a quick fix

Just flash the attached zip in CWM and you will get rid of that error.

Tested with CyanogenMod 11. Worked Flawlessly

s4 i9505 - no signal topic

Hi guys,


Hope someone can help!

I flashed my S4 i9505 to 4.4.2 (Jamal) and now I have problems with my signal but my wifi is working fine.

It identifies the network: lycamobile and the mobile network type : hspa. but service status : out of service, Mobile network state: disconnected,

Also if I dial *#1234# I get 'Mobile Network not available' message, so I cannot check my Csc, Pda info.

I have tried flashing different basebands using Odin, but I still cannot fix this problem.

Problem with 3G signal - maybe radio? topic

Hello everyone.
I have installed CM11 on my One S. I have problem with my 3G network. I only get 2G.
So I dont know where is the problem, probably in my radio. I think there is some mistake. At first I flash new radio 1.20, but I was reading that this radio may be a problem for my 3G signal. So I tried to downgrade radio tu 1.15 eu version (Im from europe), but Im not sure if I did it correctly.
Everything else works very well.
I have less than 10 posts so I cant post forum link on picture.

I used a cut down sim card for my nexus 5 but recently got send a new lte micro sim from fido. However now it says there is "no service" but it reads that there is a sim card.

I've been wanting to use the KitKat ROMs available for this device but I always end up back on 4.3 because my device never displays DCHSPAP for its data speed on any of the KitKat ROMs and I was curious why. I am on the T-Mobile network with the AWS mod and if I'm on stock or any OS under KitKat I have a full signal with DCHSPAP but if I use a KitKat ROM my phone shows 3G and occasionally H and UMTS or HSPA in about phone.
