[Q]Xperia U, android updates on every reboot. topic

So I'm using the CM11 rom and eveytime my phone reboots it seems dalvik cache is wiped and android "updates" its really annoying since it takes time.

Any suggestions? I've tried googling the problen but found many unrelated threads to my problem so I though this would be the right place to ask.

[Q] Note 3 UAE Firmware Updates topic

Hi Guys,
Im a new user here, but have been using the site for firmwares for ages. This place is awesome.
Can someone help me with this?
I recently got a note3 4G from UAE (Damam) to india. Its really awesome, except for the lack of firmware updates.
Hence, the fiddler in me thought i should just go ahead and try oin a new firmware.
Previously, i was 'fiddling' with the galaxy s3, which seemed easy enough, but with the Note3, there seems to be a massive divide between regions and firmware versions. I wouldn't want tot do anything that might take away features like the 2K video recording and what not.
I am also getting quite sick of the phone heating up because of some process using the camera (mm-camera-daemon).

Hence, i figured, it might have been fixed in the Kitkat update.
Can anyone direct me as to how i can go about finding the right firmware for my phone, and if i will still recieve OTA updates after an Odin flash (Possibly from another regions firmware).

I want to update my firmware, but fail. The update file is 0,83Mb. My current firnware is DXKK2, I want to update to the latest versions. What should i do? Please give me the easiest instructions. I will give you a thanks if you help me. :)

I'm in Wisconsin and I got a moto x from Cellcom. I can't find any information as to who officially updates my firmware since Cellcom is such a small company. Below is my build and system info.

Goclever Insignia 5X chance of updates to kitkat or port? topic

Does this phone have a chance to update to the newer version of android? (The manufacturer of that rather do not expect) Maybe a CM or Port? Sorry for the trivial question but I'm not expert in matters of roms.

Sony XPERIA Z IS STABLE NOW WITH NO BUGS
The yellow tint was fixed with the fw update .

Sony is thinking to release some new accessory for Sony phones like XPERIA z and XPERIA zr .

No kitkat update from Sony no signs of it .

It was leaked on some sites that it will come but unfortunately we didn't get it .

A small update with touch drivers is expected so to get double tap wake ,I know it is now available nut situations may change .

what 4.2.2 to get OTA updates? and some questions topic

so i was gonna go with a custom 4.4.2 rom but decided otherwise
so since my phone didnt get the 4.2.2 update yet n900xxucmk2 i thought getting one for another country russia decided
will i get ota updates even if i dont live in russia?

2-is there a way to root the phone 4.4.2 AND still get ota updates?
3-anyone found a way to remove mymagazine from 4.4.2 without causing the touchwiz to crash?
4-im backing up all my important apps using titanium backup, after i flash the phone with 4.4.2 will i loose all the apps? and if i loosed them will i loose the back up since titanum will be removed?

I've been using Omni since roughly the middle of December. I've been making use of the opendelta updates...but these have stopped working since 2014-02-17. I check for updates and it tells me Your system is up to date :confused:

My phone is a N7100 (Note 2)...note sure what other information is relevant here.

Anybody else experiencing this?

[Q] Help with OTA Updates topic

Hi Everyone,

I recently reset my HTC One to back stock 4.1.2 using an RUU so that I could get OTA updates, but I can't get any updates. Whenever I search for updates I am told the phone is up to date and that there are no updates available, but it is on 4.1.2 so I can't update to 4.2.2, 4.3 or 4.4.2.

I'd be really grateful if you could help me sort this out.:) Thanks in advance for any help/assistance you give.

surface updates topic

i have been checking my updates and i see that i have one system hardware update ( i believe a driver) but i dont know what it is as there is no info about it. i click on the support info link but that just sends me to a general windows page. how can i search for an update when i dont know what it is. usually with the other updates there is a kb number that you search for and get info. as this is not a win software update there is no number.

i dont want to dl something i dont know what its for.

anyone got any clues.?

Hey so I was just making sure. But, I know 4.4.2 comes out this week. If I flash a rom. Can I still get the update? Like a rom from the developer section?

[Q] Updates for Bootloader unlocked phones. topic

Now I was under impression that phones where bootloader is unlocked and are rooted AND have different kernel (in my case Phantom kernel) do not receive OTA updates nor do they receive updates on Sony PC Companion.
To my surprise I have that annoying icon for OTA for latest firmware and update shows also on PC Companion as well ! Anomaly or did Sony eased up on their restrictions ?
Anybody else experienced this ?

BTW if there are more that are annoyed by that update icon solution is to go to settings->apps->all apps pick update center and clear it's cache.

Omni ROM System updates discussion/bug report topic

Hi guys,

New user here. I am not sure if this is the right way to reach the developers for Omni ROM but I hope it is.
I've recently started using Omni ROM and I absolutely love it. On January 18, 2014 you fixed a major problem I was having; having to re-root my phone manually after each update. However, my other issue is that system updates do not automatically flash itself on my phone.

I originally didn't know why, but I found out after installing Philz recovery and seeing the error log that the ROM was searching for OpenDelta\ROM.zip when it should be searching for sdcard\OpenDelta\ROM.zip in order to flash the update automatically.

I am using a Samsung S3 (i9300), if that makes a difference. I would love to see this issue resolved and I hope I can be of further help in the future.
