Front camera.. topic

Hi everyone. I have noticed that the front camera is horrible in the G2. especially on the snapchat app. it is very bad, horrible . is there anyway to improve it ? please help me. this is very disappointing

What are some of the best front facing cameras on android phones?

I can't seem to find any real comparison, they're mostly rear comparisons.

I don't really care about the mega pixel count since that doesn't really mean good quality.

front soft keys are gone!! topic

so, my front soft keys somehow disappeared, and I cant get them back; in the settings menu, there is no longer an option for them, and I have no clue how they went away...
any suggestions?

I uninstalled xposed framework, and gravity box, in case that was the issue,and have rebooted many times, but still not there..

Front Camera Takes Pictures in HDR Mode topic

I'm using the default camera app on Beanstalk and I've also installed the 4.4 camera app but I experienced the same issue.

I don't even have the option to use HDR on the main camera and I've looked through the settings, but can't find anything relating to it.

By HDR mode I mean the front camera takes several pictures with different exposures and merges them together, it's annoying because it takes about 2 seconds and you must hold camera perfectly still to get it not to be blurry.

If I use the front camera while using Snapchat I do not have any issues. Any idea what could be causing this? How else should troubleshoot?

[Q] Replacing and Removing Nexus 5 LCD and Digitizer from Front Frame topic

Does anyone have any experience with separating and replacing only the LCD and Digitizer on a Nexus 5 from the from frame that they are in?
I've seen videos and guides where the Nexus 5 gets taken apart but they leave front frame + lcd + digitizer together and do not bother disassembling those.
From what I've read I can use a heatgun (I'll likely use a hot air rework station for better temperature control) to do this but are there more specific tips/instructions such as best temperature to do so or if I would need to further clean leftover residue and what I adhesive I should use when sticking on the replacement LCD/digitizer to the frame.
I would also appreciate links to perhaps this procedure being done on other phones as it will likely be similar.

Hello guys..I bought my sp yesterday and I really love it..but I have a problem..the front facing camera has no colors..it's almost black and white..I noticed that when I change from the back camera to the front it has colors for a sec and then B&W again..any possible solution?

Artifacts on Nexus 5 front camera. topic

Okay the Nexus 5 front camera is a tad noisy after the 4.4.2 update in low light but I notice white persistance artifacts. It's not a stuck white pixel problem because I've comfirmed my pixel check against a black background further more the artifacts shift places when I pan the camera slightly...

Attached is a sample with the indicator. Hopefully it's visible :D

Hopefully is the low noise correction algorithm of the stock camera software and not a sensor problem :fingers-crossed:
