Enter Pin with Broken Digitizer topic

My girlfriend dropped her phone and broke most of the digitizer, the screen works fine and looks normal, but only the bottom third half of the digitizer works. I need to find a way to enter the pin so I can get the pictures off her old phone and put them on her new phone. I'm not looking for a way to bypass the security, I'm just looking for a way to enter the pin with a broken digitizer. Any help would be appreciated.

So I replaced the digitizer on my dna and afterwards I get no response from the phone. So I was thinking the screen was DOA, and I ordered another digitizer from a different seller on ebay and still got nothing. I plugged it into the pc to see if I could force it on, I did the hard reset, and stilll no response. All cables are perfectly fine and were cleaned with alcohol. Bought a new battery and still nothing. What could it be? Help please.

The bottom 1cm of my touch screen no longer works.
I'm getting by using pie and rotating the phone but holy cow is it awkward! Is it possible to:

Recalibrate the touchscreen so that it thinks I'm tapping a bit lower
Or
Constantly render an empty black bar down there so nothing shows up and needs clicking in the area

Or

Replace the digitizer only (don't want to buy a new LCD)

Or..

Anything?

Sprint lcd digitizer working but no lte topic

Bought two Sprint lcd digitizer replacements for my note 3 since they were cheap. They work great with my Verizon motherboard but lte does not work with the Sprint assembly if you're in a certain location. I also have a note 2 and get lte at my location. I switch back to my broken bleeding Verizon note 3 assembly and get lte no problem. Switch and try both Sprint assembly and only 3g. When I'm in the city I do get lte eventually with full signal. Bottom line, if you used to get lte on the outskirts of the city then you might not get it if using the Sprint assembly. Something is different but I just can't figure it out. I took all my guts, speakers , etc out of my Verizon housing and put in the Sprint and still no lte. So I tried everything. Just keep this in mind if purchasing a Sprint lcd digitizer assembly.

[Q] Xperia Mini Pro Digitizer Calibration topic

I have broken my Mini Pro digitizer. The touch still worked but it was badly cracked. So I ordered a replacement from Aliexpress (link) and sent my phone to a local repair shop for digitizer replacement.
They sent back the phone to me today, unfortunately the bottom part of the screen doesn't recognize any touches.

They said that it has to be "recalibrated" but they don't know how.
I personally don't think capacitive touchscreens can be calibrated. I have tried flashing stock GB and ICS ftf, nothing has worked.
I think the digitizer is defective. Am I right and should I open a dispute to get my money back, or is there really any way to "recalibrate" the screen?

[Q] Replacing and Removing Nexus 5 LCD and Digitizer from Front Frame topic

Does anyone have any experience with separating and replacing only the LCD and Digitizer on a Nexus 5 from the from frame that they are in?
I've seen videos and guides where the Nexus 5 gets taken apart but they leave front frame + lcd + digitizer together and do not bother disassembling those.
From what I've read I can use a heatgun (I'll likely use a hot air rework station for better temperature control) to do this but are there more specific tips/instructions such as best temperature to do so or if I would need to further clean leftover residue and what I adhesive I should use when sticking on the replacement LCD/digitizer to the frame.
I would also appreciate links to perhaps this procedure being done on other phones as it will likely be similar.

I drop my SP and front glass cracked, it really looks ugly. But display and touch are functioning normally. So, my problem is how to replace it. I saw screen digitizers on ebay can be bought for 25-50 USD, but I read somewhere that it's not possible to replace only digitizer but you need to replace the screen as well. Another problem is, I saw a video on yt where a man bought faulty digitizer for sp on ebay.... So, I don't know what to do?

I've just dropped my phone, cracking the glass. The phone works and unlocks, but I can't unlock the phone with my fingers, only with the pen (for example, I've been able to connect it via AirDroid just by getting lucky with where I'm pressing with the pen, and using voice commands).

My question is, to replace the whole screen, do you need to do any of that heatgun madness? The replacement screen I'd be buying from Amazon or elsewhere has the glass already attached. So I'd imagine it's just some prying and a bunch of screws, but no glue, yes?
