[Q] Tried replacing screen assembly, new screen broke. What to do? topic

I tried replacing the screen on my One X and when I hooked it up it seemed to work fine. Once I confirmed the screen/digitizer worked I put the battery in and put it all back together. Then the screen decided not to work and wouldn't display anything but lines and some light. I'm not sure what happened, maybe pushing the assembly into the housing pulled the ribbon out of the phone. I'm not sure.

I'm thinking about upgrading to the XL or X+ but I'm curious, is there a chance my phone is damaged aside from the screen? When I have it plugged into the computer and turned on it isn't detected at all. Also, when I confirmed the screen worked I noticed I had a bootloop, which is odd since it worked fine before. I'm not sure what I did :(

REQUEST FOR HELP, i can't boot my device after replacing a system file?! topic

hi every body , first of all i want to thank you for your efforts and great work

now i'm in trouble cause i did something stupid , i was trying to change the background for my x'pop 5035D cause i'm in jelly bean 4.1.1 and all the backgrounds for the system is white and it's very bad for my eyes specially at night ,

i was trying to modify framework-res.apk that exist in :system / framework but i couldn't so i thought i can replace it and i downloaded another framework-res.apk and i used root explorer to replace it after taking a copy of the original file and since i did that the device restarted and stuck at the logo and i can't boot.

i tried every thing , i did nandroid restore and even wipe data / factory reset and the same result it just stops at the logo every time .

i don't know what to do , and i'm desperate for your help

Need Help Replacing build.prop file topic

i was making some changes to build.prop than replaced the build.prop file using es file explorer.after reboot phone is going into bootloop. can someone please help me create a flashable cwm build.prop file .i searched and tried to create my own but doesnt work and for adb i dont have computer at hand so my only option is flashable zip.please someone help :(

I decided to recheck - and switched to the old screen. It didn't work either!

[Q] GPS doesn't work after replacing the Display topic

Hi there,
the Display of my One was broken (only the glass) and I did a complete Disassembly and replaced the complete Display-Unit with Front-Cover.
After Reassembly the GPS doesn't work. I tried Google maps, the GPS Status & Toolbox-App. The device won't find any Satelite.

I checked all the connectors i know, but nothing seemed wrong.

I don't think the GPS is broken cause of the Display-Damage.

Can anybody tell me where the GPS-Chip is located in the phone or on the Motherboard?
Is there a GPS-Antenna and if so, where is it?

[Q] Replacing stock dialer on g2 topic

Hello there, i have one (maybe stupid) question.
searched trough forum, but i didnt found answer on this.

on my lg g2, i like everything except dialer (in previous htc one x was much better ) so i decided to replace it with something from google play, i downloaded,installed, but problem is, that phone didnt asked me which one i will choose as default.
so now i have 2 dialers and everytime when someone calls me the stock lg dialer is showing.
(i tryed cca 6 dialers and restarted phone, but it never asked which one to set as main )
and i have no idea how set up the downloaded dialer as main. in aplications there is app called phone, but i cant turn it off or stop or something.
phone is not rooted and i will not root it.

on lg support answered me that they have no idea :) because phone must ask me which one i will set as main dialer.

Replacing OUDHS Recovery with TWRP topic

Hi, I'm trying to install TWRP recovery on my AT&T S4, since I need it to flash a Kit Kat ROM. Currently I'm using the CWM-based OUDHS recovery, but I can't seem to overwrite it with TWRP. I've tried installing it with GooManager and with the Casual tool, but, whenever I restart to recovery, I go back to OUDHS. I would try ODIN, but I'm on a mac, and I don't think there's a mac version available. Does anyone have any ideas?

[Q] Replacing and Removing Nexus 5 LCD and Digitizer from Front Frame topic

Does anyone have any experience with separating and replacing only the LCD and Digitizer on a Nexus 5 from the from frame that they are in?
I've seen videos and guides where the Nexus 5 gets taken apart but they leave front frame + lcd + digitizer together and do not bother disassembling those.
From what I've read I can use a heatgun (I'll likely use a hot air rework station for better temperature control) to do this but are there more specific tips/instructions such as best temperature to do so or if I would need to further clean leftover residue and what I adhesive I should use when sticking on the replacement LCD/digitizer to the frame.
I would also appreciate links to perhaps this procedure being done on other phones as it will likely be similar.
