[Q] Tried replacing screen assembly, new screen broke. What to do? topic

I tried replacing the screen on my One X and when I hooked it up it seemed to work fine. Once I confirmed the screen/digitizer worked I put the battery in and put it all back together. Then the screen decided not to work and wouldn't display anything but lines and some light. I'm not sure what happened, maybe pushing the assembly into the housing pulled the ribbon out of the phone. I'm not sure.

I'm thinking about upgrading to the XL or X+ but I'm curious, is there a chance my phone is damaged aside from the screen? When I have it plugged into the computer and turned on it isn't detected at all. Also, when I confirmed the screen worked I noticed I had a bootloop, which is odd since it worked fine before. I'm not sure what I did :(

And no, unfortunately debugging is disabled :/

broke phone - need advice topic

I cracked the screen on my g pro so I ordered a new screen kit. while attempting to replace it I ripped the coaxial cable from the tiny metal thing it was inside of.... can that coaxial cable be ordered somewhere? should I just sell the phone and screen replacement for parts? any advice would be appreciated. I don't actually need the phone anymore, I ordered an LG Flex.. so what should I do with the G pro?

Hello... My O2x has a broken screen... Everything works but the crack takes the whole screen space.
Any suggesttions to another mobile phone similar to the o2x? Money is a problem... Something up to 200euros. Thank you!

Yeah she was fine for a week.... then after work Sunday it just failed.
No touch less controls, no google now
People can't hear me in calls unless I scream and even then they just great noise

And now I must go a week or two without a phone?

Ugh...

I may go and just buy a nexus 5 just to not wait... But I've really loved my Dev edition.

Broke SMS and Email applications topic

Well guys and gals, I got a little zealous with Titanium Backup and started removing items left and right (Nearly 60-70 items). SMS and the stock email app (not gmail) must have depended on one of these items because they now crash frequently. The SMS loads the main conversation overview, but crashes when I click into a specific conversation. I've routed my SMS through Hangouts for the time being. The Email app crashes whenever I click on a notification of new email or even try to swipe it away. If I launch the application after that, it will work once again.

Obviously it's hard to say what exactly I removed to cause such behavior. Is there any sort of dependency map or list that I might be able to compare against my currently installed items to determine what I'm missing? The alternative is to wait until a full root is possible then just reinstall a custom rom. I can probably tolerate my work-arounds until then.

Kitkat broke my app topic

Just wondering if anyone has found certain apps not working very well on 4.4.2 ?
An app I use worked fine on 4.3 but it's graphics are a little jerky on kitkat.

[Q] Battery expanded and broke glass back topic

Before anyone go crazy, it's most likely my fault. Since the battery is superglued to the phone I had to bend it pretty hard when I replaced the screen. And it was probably damaged

Anyway 6 month later my battery expanded and broke the glass back. There is a very visible bulge on the back (~1/16" thick), on a flat surface the phone wobble. I don't know when or how it happened, at some point I got the phone out of my pocket and it was broke.

I have a strong suspicion it happened while using a 2.4A/12V car charger at -25°C.

My real question (TL;DR) : Is there a risk using a 2.4A/12V car charger ? (my previous one was a 1A and it was barely charging the phone)

HELp: broke Google play topic

I tried to uninstall Google services to install the new one to use with the GE launcher using titanium backup and it worked but wasn't allowed to install new one. Tried to restore backup with titanium and didn't work. Google play is broken. I reinstalled my ROM cyanfox 2.0.2att and gapps all over and once done google play still won't work and I can even install an apk I dowmloaded . since I installed a new gapps I'm not sure why it would be doing the same thing as before and not working.

I'm using galaxy s3 - sgh-1747

I think i broke my Note 3!!! topic

I tried to flash the Baltic ROM with odin 3.07. I didn't find a way to change CSC (so KIES can recognize it) and i tried to go back to 4.3 EUR. But:

Odin failed (Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..... Leave CS..... FAIL!) and now when i open the phone there is the following message :Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. KIES 3 says the connected device is not supported. I tried flashing the stock rom with ODIN (even tried 3.09) again but it failed. what can i do to recover my phone?
