It's probably not news to a lot of people, but it is to me, so I thought I'd share.
Prior to root and debloat, I was getting around 10% battery drain per hour with the screen at around 25% just surfing. After root and debloat and greenify, for a short time, I got 7-8% drain per hour with the screen at the same 25%.
The following day, the battery life dropped dramatically, to 15% (sometimes more) drain per hour with the same screen brightness and stayed this way for a few days.
After checking the battery stats, it became clear that chrome's sandboxed processes were the problem, in fact, those sandboxed processes were using almost as much power as the screen! I switched browsers, first tried the horrible puffin browser, but settled on Dolphin, it works well for what I want it to do and the battery drain is back to around 7-8% per hour with 25% brightness.
For me, this is acceptable now, it's just a shame that chrome is such a hog, even the beta is a hog too.
