Kitkat 4.4.2 Update Issues topic

Dear all,

I apologize in advance if there's already a thread going on regarding this, but I couldn't find it and this is really bothering me.
I've used the OTA service to update my Galaxy note 3 SM-N9005 to the latest 4.4.2 Kitkat only to find out later that it renders my Micro SD card (which I specifically bought for this phone) useless.
In addition to that, the battery life, which was the main reason I chose this phone, has been greatly reduced.
The battery life (one of the best I've seen in a smartphone before the update) and the 64gb Micro SD support have been THE reasons I chose this phone only 3 months ago.
I have contacted Samsung support in Spain (where I bought it) through their online chat and had to explain the problem to them as they had no idea what I'm talking about. When I explained the issue with the Micro SD card, they asked me which brand is it and when I said it's Sandisk, I was told "Samsung can not guarantee compatibility with other brands". I had to spend another 10 minutes explaining why it has nothing to do with the brand of the Micro SD card. I was then asked to write them an email which they will (hopefully) answer in a few days.
I then went ahead and contacted the US support, which surprisingly, was 10 times worse!!!
They proceeded to ask me for my model number and where I purchased it and then just brushed me off as they are not "trained" on my model.
I then requested assistance assuming I have a model they support (as I've read in numerous places that this is a global issue even with T-Mobile, AT&T and other carrier models), and the guy just said they have no reported issues of this kind with their models.

I am at a lose here and I have no idea where to turn to and who from Samsung can actually provide support. I'm starting to regret ever purchasing a Samsung device only because of their lousy support and service.

Is there any way to revert back to the factory 4.3 it came with when I bought it?
Does anyone at Samsung even know this is a major and global problem with their update? (I'm sure they know about the Micro SD issue but what about the battery life?)
Who else can I contact to get a solution for this? Is it possible to contact Samsung Korea in any way?
What can I do???

Any help would be appreciated.
