some of the preinstalled apps from Samsung are not necessary for me and they are needing too much memory. So my goal was it to root the phone and uninstall the dispensable apps. At the end (after rooting and installing new firmwares - I am a beginner) the S4 active works almost well. The problem is, I cannot use UMTS and LTE anymore. I read a lot about the Modem-Pack, the modem.bin and non-hlos.bin files, but nothing works. I can only use GSM/EDGE and WiFi.
My provider is T-Mobile Germany and I bought a branded phone from T-Mobile in 2013.
I tried to make a complete reset but also with no positiv result. And a warranty exchange is also no longer possible because of "Knox Warranty Void". :(
Could it be a hardware defect or do I make mistakes while flashhing the modem? Please help me... LTE contracts are stupid an too expensive without a LTE phone!
