my friend purchased a used Note 2 T889 from somewhere and the sticker on the back had a clean IMEI however the phones IMEI was actually different than the IMEI on the sticker and when we looked up the IMEI on the phone itself it was reported as lost phone.
So we were not able to get a new sim and register this phone to be used on Tmobile.
I went ahead and unlocked it and updated it to the latest firmware and it picks up the 4G-LTE on AT&T but its still running the Tmo firmware on it.
is there a way to install the ATT firmware onto this phone ? or any roms/firmwares with all the carrier branding removed ?
