[Q] Am I just broke my L520 headphone controller chip or something? topic

I used my Lumia 520 with my apple earpods for a few times. I used it by holding all the buttons on the headset while I connected it to the phone to get microphone working (this button pressing trick worked).

Today I noticed that the mic started to work on any apple headset even without pressing any button while connecting the headset to the phone. But now headset button not working at all. Even tried with a nokia headset and button not working on that, but mic works on any headset.
So is it possible that I damaged something in the phone by this "hold buttons while connecting" trick? :confused:
