[Q] Help with Pantech Pocket my brother died and I really need to get into his phone topic

My brother was killed in an accident July 2013 there was no investigation the police just brought us his wallet keys and phone we have tried at the least a million different codes to try to unlock it to get any kind of information about that night is it possible to get it open without erasing it? we really just need to see his text messages and photos as he did have alot of pictures or his son on there it was been 8 months and we really need some answers, ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated!
