Rom or Xposed / Best Rom topic

Hi, I'm new to romming I was using Xposed framework for customization but the performance is not so good. Anybody want to suggest the best rom for nexus 5 that I can find in gravity box? I am considering the CM anyone has any issues with it like is it stable and can I use my phone as my daily driver. Any help is much appreciated.
