Yesterday I changed from Android 4.3 to Kitckat 4.4 Omni Rom.
The problem i am having is my PC (windows 8) is now not recognizing the phone 100%. When i plug my phone in the pc makes that sound indicating that a device has been connected to it but it does not display in File Manager. When I disconnect the phone the PC makes that sound indicating that the device has been disconnected. So it is recognizing it to some extent but it is not available in file manager. Phone is charging when connected.
Kies does not recognize the phone at all however Wondershare MobileGo for Android does.
I have tried the following.

- Installed drivers found on this forum
- Installed Kies & its drivers
- Various combinations of uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers
- Various combinations of disconnecting and rebooting the phone and the pc
- Tried 3 different cables.
